That lineart looks great! Very smooth. And that's a really cute headcanon for Ribbot. ^^

Thank you so much, Selm! <3 It makes me happy that you like it! =D * July 4th: Zootopia/ZootropolisToday I decided to go with "something I had never drawn before" again, and drew some Zootopia fanart! I really liked that movie, and I loved the friendship between Judy and Nick, so I decided to draw them, but ahh, I don't know... I feel this isn't my best. XD; Judy isn't too bad, I guess, although her face should probably be more of a profile... but Nick is so stiff and emotionless! XD;; Oh well, I tried. XD I should have reworked some of this, and if I ever decide to make it into a completed picture I will make tweaks and improvements, but I started drawing pretty late today, and that made me feel a bit pressured. I was feeling a little rushed to finish, so I decided to call it done as it is. >>; Anyway, enough excuses and critiques! XD; It's not that bad, is it? I shouldn't be too hard on myself, and also, not everything I draw will be the best thing I've ever drawn, and that's okay! ^_^ The important thing is I'm still on track with my challenge! =D

July 5th (except not really) : The Boy and the BeastYesterday, I went to the movies to watch The Boy and the Beast because Jay had recommended it to me a while back, and I just found out they were currently showing it in select theaters where I live, so I had to take the chance to go see it! It was pretty cool, by the way! But the thing is, I had this grand idea that I'd probably be inspired by it and then draw something from it when I got back home, and it was a good idea in theory, but it didn't work out because I felt pretty exhausted afterwards! XD;; So I didn't actually draw anything yesterday, but I'm making up for it today. This is what I would have drawn had I felt more energized: (The picture is completely spoiler free, by the way!) I might draw and post something else today so it's like I haven't missed any days... but I don't want to make any promises XD;; We'll see!

Anyway, I see you are undertaking the 30-day challenge now! Phew, that's gonna be quite a commitment; but you're doing great so far. I actually don't think Nick looks that stiff; sure, he has less curves than Judy, but for the most part, it looks like a casual pose! Leaving it as is already looks pretty great. ^.^ And yes, exactly, every drawing doesn't have to be perfect (I think every artist has that problem--getting to the verge of finishing a picture and then seeing like a million things wrong with it XD), but what's awesome is looking at the progress you made over the course of 30 days. Also, speaking of Zootopia, have you seen the original Officer Judy Hops, a male bunny named Jack Savage that they (obviously) scrapped? It's popping up all over the Zootopia fandom. XD

(I'm glad he evolved into Judy, though, cause I love her XD) Thanks for telling me about it! * July 7th: Wall-E and EveToday I drew a totally self-indulgent picture of my #1 OTP FOREVER because WHY NOT 8DDD (Side note: I LOVE Wall-E, but omg robots are kinda hard to draw ;-; )

I see those perspective lines underneath the purple. Definitely better than any robot I could draw... LOL! They kinda remind me of the old couple from Up in this picture. ^.^

July 8th: Not ALL the Pink Pokemon!It was getting late and I hadn't even started my sketch for today, so I chose something (relatively) quick and easy to draw today! Pokemon! Specifically, a handful of my favorite pink Pokemon! =D (I couldn't fit everyone in, but still, Dream Team!) Also, here's a Blissey I doodled a couple weeks ago. I posted it on my tumblr, but I don't think I ever posted it here and it feels like it'd belong with the rest, so here it is:

July 9th: Anne of Green GablesI'm doing an art trade with Alyssa, and she asked me to draw Anne, so this is the sketch for my half of the trade. I'll be finishing this, of course, but I wanted to post this progress pic as part of my drawing challenge, especially because I don't know if I'll get to finish the picture today... considering how slow I am, probably not. XD; But hey, at least the sketch is done! =D

Great touches on all of it, man!

Zoey - Thank you so much for what you said about my recent pictures! I'm sorry I've been kind of slacking off commenting/replying >>;;; but I really appreciate it! * July 10th: helpI was decidedly uninspired today, and so I just kinda drew how I felt. XD;;; I considered not even posting it, but I didn't want to miss another day, and I had already drawn it anyway, so... I don't know. XD; I had a bit of fun doing the lettering, though!

July 12th: Something DifferentThis is an illustration for a popular Mexican children's song about a water spurt in a fountain. The song is about how the water spurt gets big and small, but he's in a bad mood because it's such a hot day. Then an ant shows up and she's carrying an umbrella and pulling up her dress because the water spurt splashed her (and that's why they both look unhappy). But it's a nice song, I promise! XD Anyway, the reason I drew this is because I asked my sister what I should draw today, and this was her request! Obviously it makes a lot more sense if you know the song, and she and I both grew up listening to it, so it's part of our childhood! This was a challenge to draw, though, because I've always imagined the ant to be... well, ant-sized XD But i wanted to have both characters in the picture, and I couldn't think of a composition that would work for that, so that's either a tiny fountain, or a giant ant! Also, omg, since I was anthropomorphizing the ant, at first I was like "but how will I make her hold the umbrella AND pull up her dress at the same time? I guess she'll have to do each with just one hand!" and then when I was almost done with the picture I was like "WAIT ants are insects, they have 6 legs. She could have held the umbrella and her dress with two each! ><; So I drew the two missing limbs, but I didn't want to change the ones I had already drawn and have to redraw things. So it might look a bit weird? XD;; I don't know, but oh well, it's done now!) I'm pretty nervous about showing it to my sister, but hopefully she'll like it! XD;

You mean like a Rukiiiii? XD This reminds me of that old animated film about ants... can't recall the title now, but eee, this drawing is so cute! I'm sure your little sister will love it. ^.^ And aww, the water is upset! The dress wrinkles were done well, as were the adorable ant's expression and her adorable umbrella. Love how the foreshortening in the petals and the perspective of the fountain are consistent! ^.^ Great job!

Oh man, I didn't even think of that, I could have used them as reference! XD; Rukis stand on 4 legs and just use 2 as arms, so I could have done that too... but I guess I went for an even more anthro look to have the ant standing upright like a person. XD Ah, I see how it was easy to misunderstand, but my sister isn't a child, she's actually older than me XD; I've mentioned to her that I'm doing a drawing challenge, though, so yesterday we were just chatting and I mentioned I hadn't drawn anything for the day yet and asked her if she had any suggestions. I guess she chose this as a nostalgic thing for her as well! But I hope she does like it! (I haven't shown it to her yet, she went to bed before I finished it last night, and she just got home from work today, so I haven't had a chance, but I will soon!) Anyway, thanks again for your nice comments! <3
