Ginz, all your art is warm and gorgeous, and those Mafia covers are just stunning! *__* They're so ominous and eye-popping.

I'm so bad at keeping up with these threads. >_> Anyway! Today, Nut showed me this really cool watercolor painting Photoshop tutorial, and to give it a try, I decided to draw a Slorg. It's not a big masterpiece or anything, in fact, I picked a Slorg because drawing them is like second nature to me, they're the easiest thing I can think of. So yeah, I wanted something really simple just to test the new things I learned. XD But I think it came out pretty cool, so I wanted to share it anyway. =D I think I'm in love with this watercolor thing, I want to draw a lot more things now just to paint them like that too! Hopefully something a lot more complex next time that will really let me play with colors and blending and shadows and stuff. I'm excited, guys! =D |

*REVIVES THREAD* HELLO! So, I've been really wanting to make some fanart of some of the things I've been into, and today I started on a Steven Universe picture. =D I only have a very (very) rough sketch of it so far, but I hadn't drawn anything in so long that I kinda got excited about it and wanted to share it! It's inspired by "Steven's Birthday", as I'm sure you'll be able to tell if you watched that episode. XD So here it is! It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to draw. I almost decided on something completely different, but in the end I felt like I really needed to draw Connie because she's my absolute favorite <33 And, I don't know, I was just in the mood for something cute and sweet, so this happened! The perspective is kinda wonky, and I hope to fix it a little bit as I continue working on it, but I'll let you know right now that it'll probably still be a little wonky on the finished product, because to be honest I don't want to spend a long time obsessing over it. XD; I've given up on quite a few drawings because of that. I don't want this to be one of them! I'll also probably crop it, because as you can see, I didn't quite think the composition through! XD; I haven't figured out exactly how I want to do that, though. I actually really like being able to see a lot of Steven's room. I think it creates a nice atmosphere. But at the same time, I do want the focus to be on the characters, and I also realize there's a whole lot of nothing on the right half side! XD; So that's also something I'll try to fix. I'm not particularly wanting concrit for this piece (I think I already see plenty of flaws by myself, and like I said earlier, when I get overwhelmed trying to "fix" a drawing, I tend to give up on it), but if you want to comment on it, you're more than welcome to! ^_^ Just go a little easy on me for now, okay? I'm trying to get back into drawing for fun again, before I get into the 'MUST IMPROVE' mindset! Thank you! <3 |

Time for Animal Crossing fanart! =D  It's the SECRET CAT CLUB! I've always thought my cat villagers have a secret society, but recently I wondered if Leonardo could be part of it, since he's a feline too! So, here he is applying to join. Kiki is accepting, and Tangy couldn't be more excited, but Purrl is uncertain, and Kabuki is not impressed. XD I thought it would be fun to show everyone's personalities! Also, I wonder who is that mysterious cat hiding in the bushes! Certainly not me trying to spy on them! >_> <_< Anyway, this was lots of fun to draw! ^_^ |

I drew more AC fanart! ^_^ This time it's Filbert and Cranston, my two lazy villagers. They live right next to each other in my town, so I feel like they must be BFFs and get together for all sorts of feasts! I can't decide if the picture looks incomplete without a proper background, though. >>; But I wanted to draw something that was just simple and cute, so I guess it'll do! |

I had been meaning to draw tribute fanart for Gravity Falls since the finale aired, but it took me a while to actually get it done. >>; I finally finished it today, though! =D Here it is:  Next Summer (Yay! Grass!) This my tribute to Gravity Falls, for being such a great show. I’m really sad it’s over, but I guess it was its time. Here’s to all the laughs, the intriguing mysteries, the fun and endearing characters, and all the episodes that kept me on the edge of my seat! It’s so rare to find a show that strikes a perfect balance between the serious and the silly, but to me, Gravity Falls always managed to be equal parts amusing and engaging. I loved it so much, and I will miss it dearly! <3 (Thank you Nova for giving me this fun suggestion on what to draw. I hope you like the result! XD) |

I drew something pretty simple today! (A nice break from the group pictures with full backgrounds I've been challenging myself with lately! XD;; ) So, STORYTIME. A few weeks ago, while we were out running errands, my mom won a plushie from a claw machine! I was really surprised, I couldn't even believe it, because although my mom likes playing on claw machines occasionally, it's just for the fun and thrill of it, and she pretty much goes into it accepting she's not gonna get anything. XD So that was really exciting! She got this really cute lady hippo plushie, and she named her Lucky (or the equivalent in Spanish anyway): And then later, while talking to Nut, we realized she looked like she belonged in Animal Crossing! So today, I tried drawing her in the AC style as a villager, and it was a lot of fun. XD  I feel like she'd be a snooty type, haha. And although there's already a different villager called Lucky, I think they could potentially share names. >_> |
