July 14th: Neopets! (Katie and Tiny)Hey, guys, guess what? It's throwback thursday! #TBT 8D Okay, joking aside, this isn't an old sketch or anything, but it's a throwback to when I still played Neopets, because I don't really play anymore, and I hadn't drawn any Neo fanart in a long time. But anyway, here's Katie, who's probably my favorite character in the whole site! =D The idea here is that she's drinking a juice box, and Tiny is "drinking" oil. XD Also, just in case anyone was wondering, yes, Tiny is ever harder to draw than Wall-E. ;_; (That's why he's missing a bunch of details, because I kind of gave up eventually >>;  ((Robots WHY?!))

I AGREE. ROBOTS ARE A PAIN TO DRAW. WHO GAVE THEM SO MANY METAL PARTS AND EDGES, HUH???! WHO EVEN LIKES DRAWING TRANSFORMERS ANYWAY??!? (my little brother does D: ) In all seriousness, wow, major kudos for how much detail you put into Tiny. I 100% would not have that sort of patience... LOL! I love how Katie looks as well; the juice box is awesome, and she looks like she's super enjoying herself! The pose actually reminds me a bit of the Iron Giant, which, omg... the movie gave me so many feels, bro. |

July 15th: We Bare BearsI super procrastinated on starting today's sketch, so I started quite late and I found myself thinking "oh, no, what can I draw that's simple so that I'll finish it in time to go to bed at a decent hour? Oh, I know, I'll draw the bears from We Bare Bears, because they're pretty much just blobs, right? They've gotta be easy! Well... in theory, yes. But I definitely got carried away with this one and did not make it easy for myself. XD It probably didn't help that I drew Chloe as well, but in my defense, she's the best! (she's my fave, I love her!) Also, I've decided that I'll draw two more random things tomorrow and the day after, but then the last two weeks will be themed. From the 18th to the 23rd, I'll draw Steven Universe fanart, because we're getting new episodes and I'm super excited!! And then from the 24th until the end of the month I'll draw Harry Potter fanart like I planned to since the start of the challenge. So, yeah, that should be fun, and a bit easier for me, because I always have a really hard time deciding what to draw every day! XD; EDIT: Oh, haha. I just read back on my own posts and realized I never mentioned the Harry Potter thing here, I don't think? I guess I only talked about it on tumblr. July 16th/17th: Finding Dory(?)I know it's been out for like a month in other parts of the world, but Finding Dory FINALLY came out this weekend where I live! =D That said, I haven't actually watched it. (Which means the above picture contains no spoilers at all, in case you were worried) But either way, I was pretty excited for it, so I made this silly doodle. XD Also, oops, I missed a day again yesterday >>;;; Oh well, 15 out of 17 is still pretty good, right? It still means I've been drawing way more than usual for me this month, and that's what counts!

I love how consistent the perspective is, and the varied expressions on everyone. Great job! |

aww, awwwww! this is too cute. ^.^ And I can tell that it's Nemo because of the little fin! ^.^ And dory looks pretty much like Dory; you even had her biting her fin, like she does a lot. ^.^ In regards to your We Bare Bears sketch, it looks pretty much exactly like the actual cartoon! I love how consistent the perspective is, and the varied expressions on everyone. Great job! Aww, thank you! =D YES, I'm glad you can tell it's Nemo, because I think I drew him a little big, but I'm glad his lucky fin gave away that it's him and not Marlin. XD (He was trickier to draw than Dory, which I didn't expect) I'm happy you found it cute! =D Thanks for your comment on my WBB sketch too! I'm happy you think I was able to emulate the style of the cartoon =D Also, it's really encouraging to hear that the perspective is consistent, because perspective is one of those things that I've always struggled with... it's HARD! XD; But hopefully I've been improving at it! ^^ |

July 19th: Greg and Steven (Steven Universe)Today's picture is kind of inspired by Drop Beat Dad, but only vaguely. I wanted to draw Steven and Greg because they have such a nice father/son relationship! ^^ Rose's silhouette was kind of a last minute addition, but I wanted it to feel like she's embracing them both as well. I'm not sure it conveys that properly, but I kind of like how it frames the picture anyway. I heard the episode that aired today is called Mr. Greg, so maybe this fits that as well, but I don't know, because I haven't actually watched it yet. XD I'll be watching the new episodes the day after they air, because Nut and I really want to watch them together, and that's the way it works out best for us considering our timezone difference and stuff. ^^; But anyway, if I decide to draw spoilers in the next few days, first of all they'll be a bit late, and also, I'll make sure to label them very clearly as spoilers!

*falls in* Okay, I know I've been slacking off recently, but today was the start of the Potter Week Art Prompts, so I finally drew something again! Except that I told myself I'd actually do finished pictures for these prompts, since the point of these is to share them on tumblr using the hashtag and getting to see what other artists created as well, and I'd rather only post completed pictures in my art blog there (I hadn't been posting any of the pictures I've drawn this month for that reason), but... yeah, that totally didn't happen. XD; All I have to show today is another sketch. July 24th: #PotterWeekPrompts Day 1. No Post on Sunday |

July 25th: #PotterWeekPrompts Day 2. Expecto Patronum!Look, I actually did lineart today! I mean, it's partly because my sketch was super messy and I did NOT want to post it like that, but >>;; Also, I spent forever fiddling with the anatomy for this and it still doesn't look right but I needed to call it done at some point. XD;; So yeah, I don't know. But hey, it's me casting a patronus! =D I decided to give it a dark background because I wanted the emphasis to be on the patronus itself. It'd look nicer in full color, but no time for that. >>;

XD; All I have to show today is another sketch. July 24th: #PotterWeekPrompts Day 1. No Post on SundayEEP I was so hyped to see you start Harry Potter week! Especially since I had just re-read all of the books and I fell in love with the world all over again... I still have a special place in my heart for the post, the books, and the newspaper articles written in the story. They all just seemed so... magical and rustic at the same time.  Anyway, onto the actual picture, your owl is FREAKING adorable! love the detail in the wings and feathers; urgh, I wish I could draw birbs as well as you do. D: The hands were done fairly well as well! ^.^ And I also loved the bright outline of the patronus you drew for day 2. I always thought the dolphin was an adorable patronus; that, and the otter that someone else had that I can't quite recall right now... |

July 26th: #PotterWeekPrompts Day 3. Ickle FirstiesMy original idea for this was a bit more ambitious (drawing them full body and with other props and things), but I simplified it, and this is the closest I'll get to a finished picture this month, I think XD; Anyway, I wanted to draw adorable 11-year-old Harry Ron and Hermione! This is pre-sorting. Hermione is excited because she's seeing everything she read in Hogwarts, A History come to life before her eyes for the very first time! Harry is just really amazed by everything and he still can't believe it's real, he feels like he might wake up in his cupboard any moment now... and Ron is worried because Fred and George told him that the sorting was difficult and that it hurt, and he's hoping they were just messing with him, but he doesn't know for sure! D: I wanted to play with a different style. Not that my style is very consistent anyway, but this is really different to the way I normally draw, I guess! XD
