Update: Well, Virtual PC is a free program that will easily allow Mac users to play the game, I'm going to stop looking for an alternate engine. If the game for some reason doesn't work at release, I will try to port it to Game Maker, which should work on VPC.
(The problem with the OHRRPGCE is that you need to download that, and then the RPG is a separate file. That shouldn't make a difference, but I'm paranoid.)

Well that's good, so we don't have to worry about the hassle of moving to a different engine ^^ I woke up with an annoying tune in my head, I think it's stolen from Somewhere Over the Rainbow, but with the rhythm changed, and most of the rest of it changed too I feel kind of reserved in using a tune that came from a dream as I know I've probably stolen it somewhere in my memory, I just can't tell where. The first half of this track has the tune as it was in my dream, the second half is a variation I wrote after it using the same chords. www.castleparadox.com/songlist-display.php?song=329If it turns out is isn't a blatant plagiarism of a known song (it might be a kid's song, I dunno... I used to watch Play School a lot), then I could probably use it for a nice happy green meadow with flowers kind of track

Hmm... I don't know if I've heard the song before or not. It's hard to tell from 16 seconds.

I'll give it a listen; I'm usually half-decent at identifying songs. EDIT: Sounds like a cross between one of the songs on Enchanted and something else; I think you're fine. It also sounds pretty unique, and a lot of songs sound like other ones to me. I like it, though; it's catchy! PS-what program did you use to make it? I like!

Maybe I've been secretly composing in my sleep, then xD (instead of playing videogames and meeting Harry Potter like I normally do) I use anvil studio for composing, since it's totally free to download =D www.anvilstudio.com/Edit: It finally came to me. The first seven notes - with the same rhythm - all come from a singing exercise that the singing teacher at my school likes to use to warm up her choir's voices xD Everyone would sing it, then repeat it one semitone higher, and again a semitone higher, until we'd reach the top of our range. It's repetitive and mindless - exactly the sort of thing that would get stuck at the back of your head for months and never resurface except in a random dream. I think those first seven notes are a pretty generic pattern of notes, just an octave plus a descending major scale, so I do doubt it's copyrighted.

*checks back here* Any happenings while I was gone? I just noticed I didn't post the frames for the cat assassin's walking animation, so here they are:
