Hmm, I'm thinking that the Waltz of the Wintertime's first part might be best for the diary building. Or some other rather peaceful buildings in NTWF central. Would that work?

Pacmanite- You mean the first one, right? I listened to that again, and it does have the peaceful sound that a library should have. Sound like a good idea to me. ^_^

I'll be the Tabloid Town Saloon Bartender since I have kind of undertaken that role a little already. xD Oh and if you need any more characters, I have Leste and The Author. ^^ Name: The Author Guild: Guildless but a 'Fleeter at a stretch. Description of Personality: A sarcastic and jokey program that went rogue after discovering the true intentions of the company she once worked for, The Author is very techno-savvy and slightly sadistic. She enjoys a laugh more than most humans even if it is at other people's expense. Generally she is an upbeat character who despite not showing any emotions whatsoever always seems happy and carefree. Sometimes she is a bit rude but this is only because she isn't familiar with the ins and outs of human ettiquete. Picture: i150.photobucket.com/albums/s110/Mithrym/TheAuthor-1.pngStarting party member: No, she probably would trip the poor little newbies with modified code. xD Name: Leste Warshadow (just plain Leste) Guild: Pirates Description of Personality: Leste is very cynical and is often unhappy due to always being frustrated with humans. She can be a bit light-headed sometimes but has a very short temper which she often drowns in rum. Gold-loving and pretty greedy, Leste has the traits of a typical pirate but underneath that hardness and hating-the-world persona, she can be a nice person if given the chance. A pragmatist by nature, Leste always eliminates the weak if she can help it. Picture: img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/ginz/leste.jpgStarting party character: Due to her pragmatic and cynical nature, I wouldn't recommend it. xD

Name: Pattonbot Guild: Patton would probably be Guildless. Description of Personality: The General is considered tough, but is actually very smart. Knows a lot about fighting and is a very good speaker, despite having a high pitched Virginian accent. Picture or Description: He's on the right. Robot stuff- Eyes- Cyan Mouth- Sharp frown/pout Metal- Light gray Other Robot Stuff- Other than facial features, the face is perfectly smooth and shiny and robot-tastic. Do you want to be the starting party member?: Maybe. He might want to be suprised by the player's ingenuity by not telling them how to play.

Why is everybody filling out the playable characters one? XD Patton can be either playable or part of Patton's Quest to Get Gas For Tanks From Ike. Why Isn't He Sending Gas? We Need Gas. a themed quest.

We Need Gas. a themed quest. The quests will come later, as they are optional parts to the game. Anyone can have a quest. (It's basically something like: "Can you go get my order from the NTWF Shop for me?" and then you bring it back for a reward)

All righty, I've finished the library piece: boomp3.com/listen/c283a1tms_x/diary-libraryFor some reason, the host doesn't seem to want to let you download it, and there's an odd ringing sound in the listening version on there, but at least when I send you the midi file you know there won't be any random hissy noises in it

Sorry if this project seems to be dying. I'm sorry about this, I'm having trouble with sprites. If anyone wants to help with sprites, either post here or send me a PM. Thanks.

Actually, after my failure with the first sprite, I mostly went to mapping out the game using multicolored blocks. My main problem is a walking animation. Okay, my main problem is that my game engine only allows the map characters to be 20x20 pixels so I can't sprite them in M&L:SS style.

This might sound like a pretty dumb question, but do the characters walk diagonally or do they walk North/South/East/West? I think I could help with some of the spriting, though I'm a bit busy for the next few weeks. I sketched up a little sprite, and I get what you mean about the 20 x 20 limit being pretty small. edit: Actually, you might be able to get some inspiration from the pokemon trainer sprites of the pokemon series, since they're really small but the animator manages to do them all right. Here's an example: www.spriters-resource.com/nintendo/pokemon/pkmnfrlg/firehero.gif

Well, here's a little animation I tried, I think it needs a bit more neatening up and changing the colours a little, but here it is:

Actually, after my failure with the first sprite, I mostly went to mapping out the game using multicolored blocks. Do you need scenery sprites, too? That would help, but I think I may be able to handle a lot of that. Character sprites are being my biggest roadblock. And Pacmanite- The sprites just go North/South/East/West. That's a pretty good sprite of a wattlebird, I knew that one would be difficult.
