Well, Castle Paradox is more of a game hosting site, separate from the Hamster Republic website. Paradox also has some very... nsfw games on there, so don't just go browsing the site. (I don't believe you are allowed to put anything bad in screenshots, but the names are definitely nsfw in some cases) As for the two walking frames thing, this code from the "Moglery" allows 4 frames for walking.

Yeah, it is a tad profane over there, like any site with too many immature people and not enough moderation. I'll be sure to be careful if/when browsing there. Well, that's good to know, that it can support 4 walking frames ^^ And here are the images, in PNG format now. I think I might make a start on the Vyt sprites, if you haven't already.

Another question... on Vyt's hero sprite, should I draw him holding a weapon or not?

Another question... on Vyt's hero sprite, should I draw him holding a weapon or not? Hero? As in the battle sprite? No. Draw him during attacks as if he is holding it, but don't draw it. (Like it's an invisible weapon) Weapon sprites are separate, that way you can equip different weapons with visible changes. But, if you try any more characters, I haven't completely decided who I want playable yet. Vyt (in Cat Assassin form) is fine, but for others I'm not sure yet. EDIT: Actually, Vyt never even said he wanted to be a playable character. He's probably fine with it, but I'm sending out another mass PM tonight about PCs, so if he isn't okay with it, he'll tell me then. EDIT2: He filled out the PC form for his main persona as opposed to the ninja one. Um, well, put him in his regular form. I'm a bit confused here.

All right, that's cool. I can just draw his walkabout animation and be safe anyway, whether he ends up a PC or an NPC. edit: sketched out a nice base before animating; check it out - Hope he doesn't look too pudgy in an attempt to fit a figure into a square. xP Well it is a kind of a bird's eye view. Or something.

I finished the Cat Assassin (vyt?) walkabout sprites now: The front and back views seem to stomp a lot

Y'know, 'cause I know these things.) The tail wagging around is a bit distracting, IMO, but that's a minor detail and it's awesome otherwise.

Update:
Wuh-oh. I was afraid of this. I checked, and my RPG maker is a Windows only program, and you need to download it to play an RPG. I realize that many NTWFers use Mac computers, so what to do?
I believe that the games from another game engine I have are cross platform, but it is definitely not an RPG engine. I may use a different game engine, but I know I can get most of the same features of the OHRRPGCE in Game Maker, albeit much, much more difficult.
Another reason I would use Game Maker is that I can use any type of graphics and music that I want, so I don't need to toss out anything already done.
Let me check some things, and I'll be back to the topic. I apologize to Mac users if I can not find a suitable game engine that will run on your computers, and it won't be from lack of trying.
EDIT: Well, Game Maker games aren't cross platform either. I could have sworn that I read that while the engine wasn't cross platform, the games were. This may mean I will need to stop using some sprites. Sorry Pacmanite. I hope I don't have to, though.

...Just curious, but why would you need to stop using any sprites? Wouldn't you just be able to copy the images over and make new sprites? It's not like images aren't cross-platform. As for Game Maker, I know for a fact that they are at least working on a Mac version of it (because I myself have been watching obsessively for one XD;), so if you make it in that, you might be able to make a Mac version at some point in the future. I'm pretty sure they plan to have the Windows version able to export to Mac at some point and vice versa, but I don't know how soon that would be. If all else fails, though, we Mac users can just pull a Jade Phoenix and play it under Virtual PC or similar programs.

For the images, most RPG engines would have specific sizes, which might be larger than 20x20. I'd prefer to be able to find a cross-platform RPG engine, as opposed to waiting for a Mac-friendly Game Maker. But so far every engine I've seen is either Mac OR Windows, and all I have is Windows.

xD It seems that what Pacmanite drew from is Cat Assassin, not Vyt (no biggies though, Strife also drew me in Cat Assassin's form, and I was okay with it). Also, my main persona and my ninja persona are the same, with the exception of his appearance which is the traditional ninja suit for the latter, but I don't think that'll matter now that I'm drawn as Cat Assassin. Not ranting at all, mind you. I love how you made that sprite, Pacmanite. Reminds me of Pokemon for some reason. And I've heard a long time ago of a program that lets Mac users have a pseudo-operating system similar to Windows (I think PFA told me about it in MSN, but I dunno). It might be Virtual PC, or something like that. Maybe the game will still work on it?

Oh whoops, I mustn't've read properly Sorry about not drawing your main persona, anyway. (The cat assassin looks so distinctive, though. I think some of my earliest memories after joining the NTWF was looking through all the art threads and seeing that orange cat
