You do mean the Neopet between the daughter and Edmund resting on the sofa on the last panel of the first page? She's a Zafara.

Hmm, can it be that Komori was wrong? Just playing. I'm sure you're excited about it anyways, as am I. Great start, I thought. Cliche, but that's swiftly becoming part of any Neopets storyline. XD Love the monochromatic coloring, though I hope that changes as it would be sort of boring after a while. The bony hand at the bottom's cool, but kinda plain. More romance! What's this world coming to? Already love the Krawk, very cool. Due to the trading cards, I've got an idea what the potion'll really do to them, and that's sorta disappointing, but they've probably got a few tricks up their sleeves, so we'll just have to see. And finally, I noticed the top says The Tale of Woe, and the Elephante seems to be reading from a book. Perhaps there's more than one story? >> Dan covered everything I was gonna say, so I'll just respond to him. About the romance: YEAH! More romance? As Neo grows and progresses, it's laws get more flexible. It's like the opposite of a tree. I wonder what will happen in the next plot? PROCREATION? ...but I'm putting the cart before the eggs in one basket. Digressing... About the TCG similarity: Neovia? Awwwww... am I wrong for wanting a better name than Neovia? Also, on the effects of the potion and what the TCG set told us, if there's more than just a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde effect, I'd like to see them pull it off. About the color scheme: Very befitting of the colonial style village they live in, but if this is a mystery plot like the last one, and not a mini-plot, we're gonna have to look at each comic for clues, and that faded look will dry my patience. Dry. Not try. About the Tale Of Woe: Is this a story within a story? Is the Elephante telling us the story of when he told Gilly a story? Like Psycho, I also enjoyed seeing the transformations done on everyone. That Wocky at the end didn't get much of a transformation, more like a hightening. That Blumaroo? KA-YOUNG!!!! My favorite one was the Acara. ZOMG HAWT MOAR n:o!!!!! Fitting that this plot should start now, I was just setting up my 16th pet yesterday, a Haunted Woods pet at that.

Neo doesn't necessarily follow normal evolutionary theories. Look at Lisha and Jeran. An aisha and a lupe as siblings?! Not to mention Hannah and Kanrik. Or Garin and Isca. Or Nabile and Jazan. Or Altador and Jerdana. *Looks at stunned faces* What? It'd work...

Perhaps there's more than one story? >> Combined with the picture of the gravestone that appears while the comic is loading, I have an interesting theory... Perhaps the HW plot is comprised of several miniature stories that all took place in the past, and perhaps some of the characters in these stories become revived (as undead maybe) in the Haunted Woods cemetary. Just a thought. x3

Well, I'd personally love to see multiple stories, but the more I think about it, the more I figure this is more a story about Sophie. I mean, this is the 'Prologue,' right? Isn't that the part that happens before a story starts? You know, just a little something to show a flashback? Maybe the story will start up in the present, and Sophie is dealing with these issues much later. ... Otherwise, I can't see how we can participate in the events of a tale a gypsy is telling. (And personally, I want a war plot!)

I actually love the story so far! I wonder if problems will occur if the Kougra who was dating lily drinks a potion wanting lily back, that would contradict bruno's potion drinking now wouldn't it?

I think it's cool to have different kinds of pets hooked up but the children of those pets makes me think theres a lot of unfaitful couples in the neo world or adoption is the big fad with families...which is wonderful...not the unfaitful part ^^;
