The Haunted Woods Plot Thread

I'm a Master Chemist (34,065 points). I'm very disapointed with the prizes. A high majority of ploteers got over 20,000 points, and the top prize (for most people, I believe) is only 12,000 points. The top prizes are only worth about 100-175k, too. I'm not going to complain more, since a prize is better than no prize.

And oh man, Open Grave is such a cool idea for a furniture! I'm going to get three of those!

Open Graves are pretty cool. But I like most of the prizes, like Thumbert's Cane. =D I can go around whacking people with it.

EDIT: I just had this strange idea. Two of those Open Graves could probably be Claw's and Echo's!

Yeah , same here ^^ I have no problem with the relatively low value of the prizes because in my opinion I didn't need as much work to do this plot (which I didn't even finish, by the way ^^;;;)as some of the others, like LDP... although admittedly LDP would've been easier if anyone had noticed the toenail paint thing XD

Wow. I didn't even know I had points. Ehehe...I disappeared while the plot was ongoing. My last step was getting lost in a forest of sorts. XD

I got 5,000 points. I'm glad they gave the sidebar and avvy to everyone who participated in the plot.

You're safe -- they explained about the change in points. As some people here had guessed, they hadn't added in the Battledome stuff.

Just click your trophy on your userlookup, then click the words "Prize Shop" underneath where it lists how many points you've earned.

I still don't know what I'm going to get, so I did an anaysis and got interesting results.

On March 8, 2006, I looked up almost all of the plot prizes on the shop wizard (and trading post for Ghost PB). The results are out of my points, 34,065

Most prices are 1-3k less than the cheapest amount on the Shop Wizard.

I skipped some items purposly becuase they were not as profitable.

Here is the results I got:

Hissi Oil Keychain (160np ea.) x 1,362 = 217,920

Talking Tombstone Alarm Clock (7k ea.) x 68 = 476,000

Haunted Woods Graveyard Reference, 57N1064 through R51-8AHS (7k ea) x 68 = 476,000

Eau de Esophagor (9k ea.) x 45 = 405,000

Gluten-Free Potion Composites Cookbook (11k ea.) x 42 = 462,000

Open Grave (15k ea.) x 34 = 510,000

Neovian Genealogy (13k ea.) x 34 = 442,000

Ghost Meepit Dance Party Ultra Remix (17k ea.) = 476,000

Villager Pitchfork (12k ea.) x 22 = 264,000

Haunted Chess Set (29k ea.) x 17 = 493,000

Damp Cave Feng Shui (27k ea.) x 17 = 459,000

Ominous Stone Plushie (28k ea.) x 17 = 476,000

Observations:
-So far, 34 Open Graves are 30k more profitable than 4 Ghost Paint Brushes.
-In second, Haunted Chess Sets are more profitable than the PBs by 13k.
-Battledome items are not worth as much as other items
-the 1,000 to 2,500 point items seem to be worth a lot as well

Conclusion:
Even though Open Graves and the Chess Set appear to be one of the most profitable, the deflating Ghost Paint Brush would sell easier and faster. Books and funiture would also sell faster than toys. I am still thinking about what to get, but this has helped me see the values better so I could feel that I made a good decision with my points (unlike my Maraqua plot prizes where I sold a 12mill item for 800k ).
