Maybe the families just use a lot of morphing potions....

Maybe all Neopet species are just genetic variations on the same species...
... Or maybe Neopet eggs are just random.

Maybe all Neopet species are just genetic variations on the same species... ... Or maybe Neopet eggs are just random. Or everyone's reading too much into this. Can you imagine the uproar if an entire family was one species? There would be people complaining they have favorites. So they do their best.

Neo doesn't necessarily follow normal evolutionary theories. Look at Lisha and Jeran. An aisha and a lupe as siblings?! Not to mention Hannah and Kanrik. Or Garin and Isca. Or Nabile and Jazan. Or Altador and Jerdana. *Looks at stunned faces* What? It'd work... I think it's cool to have different kinds of pets hooked up but the children of those pets makes me think theres a lot of unfaitful couples in the neo world or adoption is the big fad with families...which is wonderful...not the unfaitful part ^^; Ay Carumba, with that much adopting, it would be more like a Secret Santa gift exchange. Baby trading. *shuts up* Hey, it adds a bit of interest. Different species make it easier to distinguish between different character personalities. If we all started picking out all the pieces of Neopets that don't follow evolutionary theory, we are going to be sitting on this thread for a loooong time.

If you have noticed, in most neopain families, mostly none of the pets are the same species. Like Jeran and Lisha... They are brother and sister, but they are different species. I think it just works that way XD.

-pokes updated news- Ilere! At last! I love her. =)
And that Ixi looks exactly how I picture a younger Sophie to look, but they still haven't given away her name. In Sophie's TCG card, we see her with her nose burried in "A Tale of Woe" which appears in today's news and is now the "title", for lack of a better word, of this plot.

Part 2 is up! Short part, but it seems our suspicions about Sophie were correct. And what's more, Ilere is in it! I'm excited to see where that's gonna go. It's also good that they updated so quickly, that bodes well for the rest of the story IMO. ^^ Also, it's still reading Prologue, so that must mean this story is just building up to the real story! =D The ideas are flooding in. XD

This doesn't appear to be a war plot, though, but more of a putting together the clues type thing. Good. =D

True. I wish that TNT would hurry and make the plot board! -hint hint, nudge nudge-

Oooh, I think TNT was plotting on that. XD
EDIT: Oh yeah, that's totally Sophie. D:

At least now all you faerie fans can finally be happy, what with Pselia, Nuria, and Taelia only getting small parts in the plots, if any at all.
