The Randomness of Skarl by velveteen Ohhh, that joke that’s supposed to get you the avatar. (That doesn’t work. ) For some reason, the business of the artwork kind of bothers my eyes, though it might be my monitor. I do love the Lenny’s expressions though, especially that first panels (toothy?) grin.

Spooky by ghostkomorichu Heh, it’s nice to know I’m not the only person who’s really bad at that game. *grin* I love the expressions, especially in the first two panels. (Did you know that Vex’s board game covers Echo completely on your userlookup? )

Disastrous Dubloons by ethan_redshaw
Hee! I’d always thought about that once I was reaching a high count on my doubloon games. I like the little moral at the end; it makes a lot of sense given the situation and provokes another grin. Drawing all those circles for the doubloon pile must have killed your hand, but it really adds nicely to the effect.

Shoyru Squadron: Agents of Faerie by the_darkjedi Confession time; I wasn’t around to read the beginning of this plot. Since only three of them have come where you can look them up in the index, it doesn’t make sense to me what’s going on. I do love the artwork style though, it’s very detailed and more like the professional comic books. There's a list of issues on your Shoyru's petpage that I'll try to get around to reading when I can. If you click at the top of the seach for submissions prior to Issue 158, you can find the earlier comics.

Shoyru Squadron - I am SO proud! An actualy mention of computers in the NT! I liked that it appeared to be more of a 80s style computer instead of completely modern. It maintained that Neopia is still technologically inferior to earth, despite Virtupets.
The Randomness of Skarl by bartdrunkeys and velveteen - Hah, this MUST be how thinks! Nice art, too. The drumstick was a nice touch.

The Pixel Platter by zebraxas - I love a good uncovering of faerie secrets. This was really good, and entirely probable. ^_^

Introducing the Lovely Lutari!Yay! The first Lutari interview! I like your description at the beginning. The unexpected news, the throngs of people, the elusiveness of the Lutaris, etc. I felt the description of the Green Lutari was a little forced. (Maybe you like them least?) You said it would match all of the reader's neopets but...why would the green when the others wouldn't? It kind of seemed like you were searching for something to say. I also know how well you can write, so I would have like to have seen more creative transitions instead of firstly, finally, the red, etc. Those are fine, I guess, but creative transitions that further your point will keep the reader more interested. I liked the interview at the end. Did you ever say what color she was? That would have interested me. Probably blue, though. To tell you the truth, a lot of times I keep glancing toward the end in articles, but while reading yours I didn't. Your writing style is anything but boring and I felt you had just the right amount of filler--not so much that I was bored, but enough to let your reader know what your point is. Great job on the first Lutari interview! You did it justice.

Introducing the Lovely Lutari! by doughnut215 I liked the description at the beginning and I like your style of writing. I can't find the words to describe it, as I'm having a little mind blank at the moment. I didn't understand why a green Lutari would go well with other pets more than the others? I loved the Lutari's personality - to me you got it spot on! I liked your title, it was what drew me to read it before I saw the author, I'm not sure how, the "lovely" just seemed to give it a "read me" vibe. OK, I am having a total mind blank so I'll stop now. Good article, though!

A Thousand Words(I read this yesterday and have read a lot of things since, but I'll do the best I can. ) First of all, let me say that for this particular story I think it was a great idea to plop the reader down into the middle instead of starting with the beginning. The story would be completely different if you had started with the war and his abandoning Sapphire. I thought the difference between Angel's eyes and Sapphire's eyes was interesting, but not altogether clear. She had moved somewhere and was known for her voice, and her eyes were that of an angel, but somehow not real? But Sapphire, the Eyrie she really was, had real, tangible eyes that resurfaced because she found Emerald? That's what I got. I didn't understand the quote at the beginning at first, of course. By the time I had finished the story, however, I understood. Your reuniting of the two is a little stiff. In many places, the dialogue doesn't seem natural, which takes away from the obvious sentiment of the moment. "'Classic, but not overrated by any means,' Emerald said with a grin." I think this trend begins from where Emerald gets to his feet. "A blue jewel, a sad jewel. You don’t choose to remember, as our brother Amethyst has. You cannot forget as easily as Ridergirl or I. You are trapped here with your memories." It doesn't seem like something you'd say to your long-lost sibling two seconds after being reunited. When the Pirate Poogle walks up, however, the dialogue becomes much more believable. The ending is very strong. The reader realizes that he has been using the sea as an escape from himself, but he doesn't need to any longer because he found his sister and she forgives him. Not cliche at all, in my opinion. I really admire your plotline and the idea of Emerald as a character.

The Pixel Platter by Zebraxas I liked the joke, although I couldn't really tell what was being said first. The Shoyru Squadron: Agents of Shoyru by Darkjedi Wow, really good art! I wish I could draw like that. *wishful thinking* And it was funny seeing computers in Neopets! The Randomness of Skarl by Velveteen Haha! I found this one quite funny. Spooky by Ghostkomorichu Another Spooky comic! I seriously can't get enough of these! The art is always good and the characters are so cute and the jokes always funny! There's something about your art, which draws me to it! Neopian Coffee Shop, Part 3 by Patjade and Mindsend Hehe, the short ones always work really well. And the expressions in the second panel are hilarious! Today in Neopia by Bryallen This one made me laugh. Good work! Disastrous Dubloons by Ethan I like the art in this one. The second panel was so cute. And the joke was funny as well. And the moral added a little extra to it. Good first comic! And although this one wasn't on the list, it made me laugh so much! Turnip-head SLOTH by virtualmetalclone This made me laugh SO much. The message boards was a cute idea and the art was well done! Well done.

Shoyru Squadron: Agents of Faerie by the_darkjedi It's great to see a classic like Shoyru Squadron in the Times. Great are with a great story! And on that note, thanks to Patjade for pointing out that older issue thingie (I feel ancient having a bulk of my stuff in the "older issue" section... ). And many, many, many thanks to Droplet for letting me continue (and hopefully finish) my story despite the heavy reliance on the existence of computers and virtual reality (that Virtupets clause rocks!) - I promise I will stick to more "low-tech" stories next time!

New Series ReviewThe Chronicles of the Court Rogue: Treachery Part One by Nimras23All right! Go, Nim! ^^ I promise to give you a more in-depth review after the series is completed. :3 So far, I can't wait to read the next part. First of all, that custom pic sooooo pwns us all! Mareian looks so hot! XD Kudos to the artist, whoever you are. *cough cough* So...anyway, I don't really have that many comments today (mainly because my monitor's acting up and I need to replace it XD). I've always loved the Mareian/Jeran relationship (I'm not shipping ) and I can't wait to see the two of them again. ^^ Mareian's personality is, as always, a lot of fun to watch, er, read Heh. I wonder how the rest of the story is going to go. That bit where Mareian talks to the lock is genius (and, Illusen's talking to the lock, too). What else? Ah, that ring reminds me of Jonathan's Dominion Jewel (sorry, couldn't help recalling a Tamora Pierce novel ). *rereads what she wrote* Wow. I sound like a frenzied fan and I'm not making any sense, am I? All this means is that I'm glad the Court Rogue is back. Good work, Nim, and I'm really looking forward to read more. ^^
