So it's *checks watch* Novemeber 10th. ...Time to finally finish and upload the rest of my Inktober drawings! XD
I needed to finish a bunch of RL stuff around the end of October/start of November, so this kind of got shoved to the side for a bit.
Day 26 - Dark + Day 27 - Coat
First I was like, “Oh, I’ll draw two people falling down a dark hole.”
Then, “Well, they should be doing something. Cards? Sure, why the heck not.”
Then, “Nah, two people are boring, how about one human and a little griffin character?”
Then, “Oh, I can combine this with the coat prompt, too!”
Then, “...I feel like the little griffin is too many discordant layers of weird. Maybe she’s playing cards against two sentient flame things? (Because THAT’s less weird.)”
(I also considered using this for the Ride prompt, too, because it’s not clear what’s riding on this card game--but using one piece for three prompts felt like pushing it.)
Anyway, I'm really pleased with how this came out. xD
Only AFTER I finished this did I look up what certain cards are supposed to ""officially"" mean in fortunetelling, so I was belatedly analyzing my own piece and being all, "Oh, how interesting, what could that mean?" xD
Progress gif (justice for tiny griffin)
Day 28 - Ride
I realized that I'd drawn Kelehi for three different prompts this Inktober, but none of my other Neopets characters. So this is kind of sketchy, but I still had fun. x3
The Swingamajig ride was always my favorite. (Though it's probably more boring if you can actually fly.)
Day 29 - Injured
Bek is happy to have visitors!
X3 And doodle-y bonus in English:
Day 30 - Catch
My memories of little league are that playing outfield was very boring. XD (I was only good at running fast after hitting the ball. XD)
This ink wash is kinda loose and messy, but it was satisfying! (Also good practice for trying to draw more facial angles. xD)
OH ALSO I couldn't get that freaking glove to look right at any angle I tried. Aaargh. XD
Day 31 - Ripe
I felt bad for erasing the sketch of that tiny griffin from Day 26/27, so he gets his own reprise here! Along with an artist's interpretation of the pumpkin I carved for Halloween.
Annnnd, that's it. *flop* |'D This has been fun, and I learned a lot (or at least, I was reminded of things that I need to practice more)! xD But at the same time, October is one of my busiest months, so I don't know if I would do this again next year. (And we'll see how rejuvenating November is before I even dare to entertain the thought of attempting a partial Pokecember. xD)
In any case, I'm glad I got to do this, and double points because I got to see all of your all's great stuff, too! Congrats to everyone who drew anything at all in October, and extra congratulations to June and Rabbit, who completed all the challenges on time!! \ o / I loved seeing all the great things you studied and came up with! =D
