It's a week until October. You know what that means? A week until Inktober! Time to draw every day, or every other day, or even once a week, it's all up to you! This is the place to be! Post your work, hang out and chat, encourage one another, let's have some fun! Come join in the fun at any time and any skill level. As Jake Parker says, "Anyone can do Inktober, just pick up a pen and start drawing," (and he should know, as the founder of Inktober). Even one drawing is a win in my book, so try your best, and enjoy yourself. New this year, there's a spiffy Forum Badge for posting at least one piece(for Inktober, or any other October Creative Challenges that may come up). So pretty, so worth getting over your fears and posting a drawing. Here's the official website: inktober.comOfficial Rules: And official prompts: 2018: ntwriters.proboards.com/thread/53006/inktober-20182017: ntwriters.proboards.com/thread/52707/inkober-2017

Inktober yay! I love seeing what other people come up with in response to the prompts. <3
I'll probably do OCtober if it happens again this year, not sure if that was a one-off or what. Otherwise I'll write using the Inktober prompts!

Hnngh, my October is usually way too busy to do this event, even though I've always wanted to, but this year it might be a little less insane? Which isn't necessarily a good thing, but maybe I'll finally be able to try this?? 8'D
Regardless, though, I'm gonna be cheering you all on, and I can't wait to see what everyone makes in October!! \ o / Go go!

I am not going to do every single prompt for sure. I have a very demanding postgraduate degree this year. But some of those prompts look so cool and I have nice brush pens I'd love to use. So maybe I could cherry-pick a few that I have ideas for and do something based on them.

Knowing me, I won't keep consistent with all the prompts, but there may be a few that I try out. I need to preplan my ideas for the prompts in order to do them on time, lol.

I was thinking about doing tree studies this year. I was at an art festival a couple weekends ago, and I saw all the different ways artists draw trees, and how much I like trees, and I thought, you know, I really should draw trees more since I like them so much. I really haven't figured out my style for drawing trees, so now seems like as good a time as any to get that started.
And I mean, there's so many different types and styles of trees, I'm sure there's plenty of material to work with.

I'm really excited for Inktober this year! =D I actually went out and bought a few supplies specially for it, which is a first for me! Here they are: The Windsor & Newton inks were on sale, and those were the only three colors that were available, so I thought I'd have fun with them! The pens are actually both brush pens, one in black and one in sepia. I just really like line variation, so I wanted to try these rather than fineliners. I bought the water brush with the idea to fill it up with ink, but now I'm not so sure I still wanna do that... we'll see how I feel once October starts! And the kneaded eraser was just something I wanted because I used to have one once upon a time but I lost it. XD;; Anyway, I am READY!! My plan is to follow the official prompts and maybe also use the daily poses that SenshiStock posts on DeviantArt? But I'll be quite flexible with the latter, so if I have a different pose in mind or just a different idea for my art that day, it's no big deal. But yeah, very excited! Can't wait!

I'm in, but I'm not going to be following the prompts but will instead be doing character practice again. My roommate is in art school now and I am 100% raiding his supplies.

Inktober Day 1: Ring Nothing fancy, but still. It was fun to toy with the gem, though.

Oh shoot, it's a broken image for me too. I just figured my mobile internet was having trouble loading the image before, but for laptop it also doesn't work.
But yeah, saw it on Discord, and the gem shading is indeed really cool :3

Ah heck, of course. Sorry about that. It worked earlier, but now it messed up. (I didn't want to use DA as a host, since the links got funky, so I tried Tumblr, since I was uploading there anyway. I'll just stick to Imgur.) Should be fixed now. And thank you. ^^

Since I'm posting anyway, I'll go ahead and mention that I finished my drawing for today, just waiting until I can get home and scan it.

Saw the prompt for Day 1, knew I had to do this. Spent the first half hour of the day past midnight doing the outline. Day 1- RINGIt's a close-up of Meallan's ring, the one that represents his pact.
