Inktober Day 19: Sling  I decided to play with my brush pen today. I clearly still need work. I think I like the rougher lines, though. Also, yeah, I had a block for this one. |

Stiiiiiilll catching up~ *waves flag* Keep going, everyone!! \ o / Day 15 - Legend  These are some old characters of mine from a story I wrote back in high school. I still have a soft spot for this gang. xP I suppose in some ways, this is a redraw of that story's cover. I don't always cringe when I look at my old art, but this story's old cover page makes me cringe. xD All the characters are pulling overly dramatic faces, and it's just overall trying so hard to look cool and suspenseful and serious, and I'm just like...Was that what the story was? I'm pretty sure that's just what I wanted it to seem like, and not what the story actually was, most of the time. So hopefully this feels slightly more true to the spirit of that story, with maybe a little bit of visual drama that's less forced. xD High school me did not know how to draw shoulders or distinctive face shapes and the eyes were anime HUGE, so it was kind of tricky trying to adapt the old designs while still having the characters feel like themselves.I made a ton of mistakes inking this, so I fixed a lot on the computer. xD I also sort of debate if I want to show you all the old original cover, but hnnngh, I don't know? xD Hopefully you can imagine either way.Day 16 - Wild  Listen,,,,dude,,,,sometimes you're behind in Inktober, and when you figure out a way to make the prompt validate an unapologetically messy drawing,,,,you go for it. XD Day 17 - Ornament  Please don't report me for animal cruelty, I can explain. 8'D This is an illustration of a story starter I wrote last year (originally based on a dream I'd had), where this lizard is trapped inside a magical library, but certain events transpire to free him. It's ten minutes to midnight here, I'm still on timeInktober Day 20: Tread  The trope itself is With Catlike Tread. I thought it would be fun. Still playing with the brush pen. Getting the hang of it, maybe, I dunno. It's metallic and not a pure black, though, which is a bit of an issue. The pen itself is cheap and I'm worried about breaking it in some way. Always worth practice, though. |

Inktober Day 22: Ghost  I attempted to shade today. Still need work, obviously, but the only way to get better is with practice. Also played with my silver brush pen today. I think it worked out okay. |

Inktober Day 23: Ancient  Trees can get real old, so I went with that. I played a bit more with line thickness, to make it look more interesting. I think it turned out alright. I didn't want to use the metallic brush pen I have, though. They're fun, I think they're good practice for when/if I get my own good brush pen, but it's so hard to do Inktober stuff with them. |

Inktober Day 24: Dizzy  My thought process was basically dizzy -> spin -> twirl -> ballet -> ballerina I played more with varying line width, which I find satisfying, personally. I feel like the head needs work, but I think I'm getting better at side views. Slowly but surely, right? |

I don't know how it's Friday already again, this week has just gone, augh. XD Day 18 - Misfit  Semi-screencap redraw of Nyasu no Uta, because Meowth is my favorite Pokeani character. <3 Day 19 - Sling  I'd had overambitious plans for this day, to sling ink onto a sheet of paper, and then use that as a background for a dynamic drawing. Obviously I didn't manage to get all of that done, but I'm still hoping I can use this as a background for it eventually! Day 20 - Tread  Tread. s(o_o)-b Day 21 - Treasure  I listened to Muppet Treasure Island songs for basically most of the time while drawing this. xP I'll get the hang of shadows eventually... |

Inktober Day 25 - Treeline  Went to a different local park, and sat down in the grass and drew the treeline. This is another one I'd fill in with color if I were making a comic. I wanted one way to draw trees, I'm going to end up with thirty-one. |
