And the event is live! You can get an avatar for donating 100 items.

This is the worst item loading design ever, considering each item opens up in a new window rather than just shoving them all on the same page. I can't tell if this will eventually help the lag or not.
Is it more difficult to just make it a checklist page like the quick stock page? So much faster.

Well. That's interesting... Attempting to donate a piece of barred wire made me realized I had a trade offer that never got canceled that had 1,000,000 NP attached to it. That's a nice surprise... lol

I keep trying to give it, but it's not taking it.

I keep trying to give it, but it's not taking it. Try removing an item or two from what you're donating, or remove all the items, and try again? It wouldn't let me donate once, even though I had been donating, and removing an item or two from the list and adding them back in did the trick for me.

Urgh, the site's lagging, which isn't helping.
And who within the JSN team came up with this method for donating (Going to the inventory, clicking on the item that needs to be donated, clicking on a button, close, repeat 9 more times, head back to the Charity Corner page, click on another button, rinse and repeat)? It's far too clunky to my liking. I definitely preferred last year's method a lot better

oof, having to click each item one by one with all this lag is not fun xP The quick stock would make this so much more enjoyable, I'm not sure if I have the patience or time for this XD;

Wow, they actually came up with a method of donating that's even worse than what we had before!

What gripes me is that I manage to pick 10 items, then it tells me I get 0 points, so I have to remove each item and repeat until it registers. An hour of work to get 19 points. I don't have time for this.

EDIT: Pro-tip has been fixed because... They really want to create the most inconvenient donation method and stick with it?
Pro-tip: if you have, say, 50 of an item to donate, you can just hit the "I don't need it" button ten times on one item's pop-up page (before the page reloads and the button shows "Wait I think I'll keep it" or whatnot, only wait for the page to reload after you hit the button 10 times) and the system will register that you selected ten of that item. Head to the donation page and just make sure there isn't 11 items floating below the page (if there is, just X out one of them) and hit the lever. You don't have to wait for the animation either, just refresh after clicking "Yes" and hit the orange button on the machine to tell you what your actual points are.
Basically the system just won't accept your items if you select more than what you have on hand. This is easier to fix at the bottom of the donation page by clicking the red X on the items that don't exist.
You can also tweak the method if you have a mix of items. Say you have 5 of A, 2 of B, and 3 of C. You'll only have to open three item windows total. Open a window for item A and hit "I don't need it" 5 times before the button turns into "Wait I think I'll keep it". Wait for it to process afterward, and ignore whatever number it's showing. open a window for item B, hit the button twice. open a window for item C, hit button three times. Voila, tray loaded with ten items.

As an FYI they fixed the above method a few hours ago so it no longer works.
Way to make an already awful system even worse by removing the workaround!

whut.
why.
THIS DOES NOT SPARK JOY.
The previous system wasn't especially good, but who on Fyora's green earth thought that this particular setup would be an improvement?
On the plus side, since I haven't been playing very much, I haven't accumulated much new stuff since the last CC. I can just dump whatever junk I want to get rid of and call it a day - although hm, if I'm unlikely to build up enough for a perk anyway, is there even a point in donating as opposed to selling it 2 NP apiece? It's like a more convoluted way of discarding.
