Day 10 - Best Neopoint Item: JS, you consider these items your best, really? Well, of these four, I picked Dr. Sloth Lamp because I find it funny. What, they all don't have to have a deeper meaning.
Day 6 - Best New Avatar Results Discussion: To be fair, AC Team Avatars was representing 18 Avatars. Also it had been a long time request for team specific Avatars. I'm surprised Fiendish Formations is so low, especially since I think it's the one with the nicest animation.

Day 6 - Best New Avatar Results Discussion: To be fair, AC Team Avatars was representing 18 Avatars. Also it had been a long time request for team specific Avatars. I'm surprised Fiendish Formations is so low, especially since I think it's the one with the nicest animation. I imagine FF is so low because TWR had a lot of retired avatars for various points in the plot, and some people were put off by that. There is a vocal minority of 'screw you, got mine' players, but the majority do prefer avatars that can be gotten at any point by any player who puts in the appropriate effort.
Could also be because a lot of people were sour on FF in particular due to needing to complete all the puzzles on day of release for the avatar.

For today's, I picked Trudy's, mostly because I suspect adding the prize pool may have fixed the DST reset issues. At least, I personally haven't had it reset due to the DST since then. The prizes are meh but the fix was very welcome, and I don't really know what the Apple Bobbing and Grundo Plushie prizes even are since I don't do those dailies anymore so I couldn't justify picking them.
I had to laugh at them for having the gall to add King Skarl as an option after HTT promised the Charm was active, even going so far as to manually add one to her stamp album (couldn't have gotten it legit, now could she?) to prove it, then it turned out to actually not be active.

Day 11 - Best Prize Pool Update: Why is King Skarl's the image of the Erisim instead of, you know, King Skarl? Actually, maybe giving us a list of the new items they added would have been a better idea because they either relying on you taking them at word value or looking up the prizes on JN.
Now I was considering voting for Trudy's Surprise because it added the prizes as a new feature... but I did take a quick look at the new prizes the others got and my vote was swayed toward TDMBGPOP. Why? Because I LOVE the idea of the color mixed Plushies! Even if they only have this done for Plushies, it's still a fun idea with thousands of possibilities!
Day 8 - Best Site Theme Results Discussion: JUST BECAUSE MERIDELL GOT LAST PLACE MEANS NOTHING! So, um, anyway, not really a surprise who the winner is. Well, maybe a little due to how many had a problem with the Tis The Season Site Theme, though maybe like me it's the spirit of experimenting behind the Site Theme that got the vote more then the first one's execution.

I chose Trudy's Surprise today. I only have a vague knowledge of the updated prize pools, so that made it harder to choose, but I have enjoyed the addition of items to Trudy's (and I like the idea of switching the prize pool regularly to keep item values from going down as much).

I chose Trudy because I liked that we now get prizes, and so I cast my vote without much further thought.
But...I knew I should have just looked at the prize pools! After I already voted, I decided to read the description for TDMBGPOP and suddenly remembered what the prizes were...
I regretted my choice, lol. I love the cross-paint plushies!

Day 12 - Best Advent Prize: Really? The Green Gift Pouch? You couldn't think of another Advent Prize that was better? Also I take them having the award being for the prize and not the animation as a hint that even JS agrees this year's Advent Calendar animations weren't good. Anyway I picked The Long Road Home, which I feel is sorta the obvious choice as its a full background and a well drawn atmospheric scene.
Day 9 - Best NC Feature Result's Discussion: Okay, I guess the Haunted Mansion must have come with some pretty good wearables. Not to mention many aren't as mad at Kaia being another customization Faerie Quest as I thought they were.

Today I picked The Long Road Home, because it's a beautifully detailed background and perfectly captures the look of a snowy day. The artists truly did an excellent job on that one.

Day 13 - Best Art Revamp: Gotta go with Meridell here. Though I question whether Haunted Mansion counts as it's replacing the old Halloween NC Event not an update to it. Also, they made two images for the Haunted Mansion nominees yet for Best Prize Pool update re-used the Skarl Erisim image instead of making a proper one for Grumpy Old King?
Day 10 - Best Neopoint Item Results Discussion: It's a good weapon that's cheap to get. If you're wondering why I didn't vote for it, I'm just getting tired of all these powerful weapons being released and them being cheap if not free. They're making old weapons with less icons obsolete and inching closer and closer to the amount of icons that used to be restricted for Hidden Tower weapons. And that could very well lead to icon inflation and that's the last thing we need happening. All the while they don't seem interested in other equipment like Shields or fixing/updating the Battledome. *Sigh* I'm beginning to sound like a broken record of an old man here...
