this kills the smash mouth. With a hammer? That's gold with yellow gem, right? Yeah, not the best looking shield. while Gold/Blue gem looks good I think of the gold shields I like the one with the red gem the better. I think silver shield and blue gem also looks nice. Don't think any of the Bronze, Stone, or Wood shields have a gem they look good with, or at least as good as Gold/Red Gem and Silver/Blue Gem.

I understand it fits the color scheme they were going for, but it's just so ugly. I agree that silver and blue looks way better. Kinda funny that one of the best shields (16) is immediately followed by the objectively worst one (17).

I don't have the time or the dedication to do what you guys do. I am happy if I get just one rank higher than I did the previous year, even though this thing kills my wrists. I'm not a spring chicken and work keeps me pretty busy most of the time, not to mention that it tends to get fairly monotonous after awhile. Suffice it to say that I get at least 4 games in at the start of the day, with a few more added when I find time.

This, as I usually can't work up the motivation to get an even remotely high rank, as much as I wish I did have the motivation. It doesn't help that I seldom focus on anything for more than a while.

I was about to say that I'm the same way, because life and work and kid and other such fun adulting problems - but then I realized that that's not actually the issue. I work at home, I could take a break with AC games inbetween pages of work whenever I please. S'just that Yooyuball gets really incredibly tedious after a while, the other games aren't much more interesting and while I could fire off some Make Some Noise games as a cute little breather, it gives so few functional points that it's not really worth the trouble. My free time is limited as is, I want to fill it with things that are fun.
(now there's an ambitious and completely unviable idea: what if we could select a handful of existing Neopets games and play those for Altador Cup supporter points? If we're to spend a month grinding away at games over and over again then I would quite like to do that with Jubble Bubble instead.)
(team spirit, what team spirit?)

I read a rather disturbing idea today on the boards that TNT is ignoring the ACG presence on Faerieland because this coincides with the end of the plot and they could spin the story that Faerieland was recovering nicely - "look their team even won the AC!" I certainly hope this isn't the case, but they are taking their sweet time with fixing the scores if they plan to. They acted fairly quickly with BV and I believe KD last year, and appeared to manually change the scores.

At this point I'm just hoping that if we beg nicely, JS won't get rid of HW's captain.

No sooner do I post that than TNT rolls out recaptchas in the games. They appear to only be for MSN and SlSl now. It's a great thought, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. I've played a few games of MSN to test it out and every time except one I was hit with a box that said 'cannot contact recaptcha" and the score didn't count

I've played a few games of MSN to test it out and every time except one I was hit with a box that said 'cannot contact recaptcha" and the score didn't count Oh, geez, and for MSN, every game counts due to how much strain it puts on your body. :/ If they're only for MSN and SLSL, doesn't that mean the ACGs will just move on to SOSD and YYB? Unless for some reason they couldn't play those (doubtful). I guess we'll see tonight if it made any difference to MSN and SLSL scores, but from what you've experienced, scores for those games would already be lower due to legit players not being able to send scores or just not wanting to play them anymore (but of course, that'd be less of a difference than if it really does work against the ACGs, so any effect should still be apparent). I wish this solution (or another solution) had come earlier before FL became first in the standings. -___- It seems a lot of FLUFF players are really excited about FL's being among the top 3 and sure, I can understand it, but I just can't join them in that, I'm afraid. Still, if we finally have truly normal scores and manage to win some games with our own effort, I can at least feel a little better about FL possibly winning the Cup. But honestly, I still don't want FL's first time on the podium to be the ACG year. -__-

But honestly, I still don't want FL's first time on the podium to be the ACG year. -__- ikr. If they want to keep things as they are, they are going to need to re-evaluate how many points a game of MSN should be worth and how many games people should be expected to play per day to max it. Slushie Slinger isn't that big of a deal since ending the game ends your momentum, but MSN and SOSD were typically considered the quick and easy games to max since you can (well, could with MSN now) get into a rhythm with them. The fluky thing about this is that they rolled it out at like 2pm NST. Over twelve hours into the day. Most of the bots might have finished playing already, so I doubt we'll see any effect in the scores at all unless TNT manually changes them. Implementing this right before a long weekend with no play was such a silly idea; going into the finals they will have like a third of a data point to evaluate how these captchas impacted scores. The ACGs can game YYB and SOSD, but for some reason they choose not to. I remember someone a while back had a good explanation for why they felt the ACGs had abandoned YYB and SOSD after the change from the bracket system to SRR, but for the life of me I can't remember it now P: Coming as a supporter of a team whose lone podium appearance was on the back of an ACG, I get it. I really do. It sucks to have a month of hard work and nothing to truly show for it since everyone knows (or at least will assume, depending on how FL does in the finals) the final positioning will be from the ACG. Take pride in your accomplishments and the accomplishments of your FLUFF teammates, and don't let the haters get you down.

The ACGs do game YYB and SOSD - the 'problem' is that these two games are the most popular for legit players due to them being the quickest. So the cheaters have their scores dilluted much more than in SS and MSN, resulting in a much lower score. It's a sad fact, but when there's an ACG on your team, legit players actually *lower* their team's YYB and SOSD scores by taking part.

I was wondering why YYB and SOSD scores were lower than those for SS and MSN and figured the ACGs must've just been focusing more on the latter two. But now I understand they probably do still send the same number of scores for all four games. -__- It's just legit players' scores bring the average down for YYB and SOSD more noticeably. Got it.

sorry if this makes me SUPER dense, but i guess i'm just really confused on the different between acg and asg?? and is it bad to send yyb scores if they're lower than a certain score?? i'm rank 30 and my average yyb score is only, like, 8, so now i'm starting to think i'm the reason my team is doing so bad sobs
i'm sorry if this was already explained but i can't really find an answer anywhere and i don't want to be THAT person who might be screwing up the ac for my teammates

sorry if this makes me SUPER dense, but i guess i'm just really confused on the different between acg and asg?? Can't speak to the rest, but "ASG" is "All Star Group" - a group of players who always (and often very quickly) reach all star rank that will bandwagon a particular team to stack the deck and almost guarantee it winning the cup. "ACG" is "All Cheater Group"- a group that uses cheats to get high scores, and who also all bandwagon a particular team to make them place high.

I'm guessing we have two "Practice" days in order for them to figure out the playoff brackets?
