Here are my battle pet's stats. I have about 6 million I could potentially spend for this plot. I have the faerie ablities up to her level too. What battledome items are good for wraiths?
I use Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting, Rusty Pitchfork, Tyrannian Sceptre, I have a greater healing scroll, Golden Compass, I hardly ever use the Rainbow Frost Cannon or the Heavy Round Shield. I am mostly about just healing and striking.
I don't think this is a really good set though.
I usually hit about a 30 each time.
I have some suggestions if you want to hear.
A basic weapon set is usually 2 Main Weapons, 1 Shield, 1 Healer, 1 Freezer, 1 Bomb, and 2 extra.
MAIN: As of right now there's three popular weapons that are not only just a few icons under the top weapons but are cheap (and you have one of them):
- Tyrannian Sceptre (7 Fire & 7 Light OR 7 Fire & 7 Physical; 200k NP)
- Yooyu Knuckle Duster (7 Physical & 7 Light; 150k NP)
- Turned Tooth (8-12 Earth, 5-10 Physical; 325k NP)
Weapons that does more icons cost way more than 6 mil! Tyrannian Sceptre has a nice randomness factor, though always doing Fire icons which are hard to block. Yooyu Knuckle Duster is more consistent though you always know what icons it does. Finally Turned Tooth does insane amount of damage but uses icons that have been known easy to block.
Some other popular choices are duel duties, weapons that are also shields. Two come in mind:
Hanso Charisma Charm (damage: 5 Earth & 5 Light; defense: ALL Dark; 1.3 mil NP) and
Water Powered Pistol (damage: 10 Water & 3 Physical; defense: 5 Fire; 400k NP). Blocking all Dark (which when it appears usually there's a lot of it) plus doing 10 icons of damage on top of that gives it great coverage. Now Water Powered Pistol's blocking 5 Fire doesn't seem like a lot, but Fire is considered on of the hardest icons to block so having a weapon that not only blocks a chunk of it but also do 13 icons is very good. And no matter what two choices you make, I would recommend using one of your extra slots to have another one of these weapons be it for damage options or shielding potential.
SHIELD: There are two types of shields. First is the full blocker, once that fully block an icon type. There's two which come to mind:
Parasol of Unfortunate Demise (3 Water, 2-5 Earth, ALL Light; 2k NP) and
Altadorian Swordbreaker (damage 5 Earth; block ALL Physical; 130k NP). Parasol of Unfortunate Demise is purely a shield, not only blocking all Light but also blocking some Water and Earth (and is SUPER cheap). Altadorian Swordbreaker is a duel duty but a weaker one, 5 Earth damage isn't a lot but blocking all Physical is super useful as it appears often so you won't really miss not blocking other elements.
But maybe you'd rather having an arrange of icons blocked instead of mainly focusing on one. Well, if that's your choice you have a lot of options. There's 5 choices and which one you pick depends on the icons you're worried about:
- Leaf Shield (5 Earth, 5 Water, 3 Physical; 25k NP)
- Wanderer's Cloak (2 Air, 3 Fire, 3 Light, 2 Water, 2-5 Earth; 100k NP)
- Patched Magic Hat (5 Earth, 3 Light, 3-6 Physical; 30k NP)
- Kiko Skull Pirate Hat (5 Water, 5 Dark, 2-4 Physical; 36k NP)
- Sophies Magic Hat (3 Fire, 5 Earth, 3 Dark, 3 Physical; 100k)
If it was my choice, I'd consider comboing it with one of the above duel duties. If using Water Powered Pistol I'd go with either Leaf Shield, Patched Magic Hat, or Kiko Skull Pirate Hat. If going with Altadorian Swordbreaker, it would be Wanderer's Cloak or Sophies Magic Hat (focusing on the Fire icons).
HEALER: There's two choices you can go here. First you can get a once par battle healer, an equipment that doesn't heal much but you don't have to buy/equip another one. The "best" one is probably the Rejuvenating Jar of Brains (heals 60 HP; 600k NP). There's also the Short Sleeved Tunic (blocks 2 Fire, 2 Water, 2 Dark; heals 75 is intelligence is above 500; 3 mil), but that's half your budget right there (if you're lucky) and honestly just best to save until you can get a Bag of Healing Dust or Leaded Elemental Veil. BUT it's an option if you want healing right now. Also, you may want to check if your Neopets species has a Species Specific Healer. The best known ones are Kacheek's Kacheek Life Potion (full heal above 33%, heals 33% when at 33% or lower; 130k NP), Gelert's Gelert Healing Remedy (heal 50% HP; 80k NP), and Lenny's Bag of Lenny Healing Seeds (heal 50% HP; 1.6 mil NP).
The other option is just using a one use full healer. One the plus side its a full heal so you can use it even later in battle. But the downside it once you use it it's gone, you have to get another one which builds up the cost and you have to break between battles to equip a new one. It goes without saying you should try saving these one use healers when you really need them, pretty much first scouting the opponent without using one to see if you can reserve them. The top three full healers are Lucky Robots Foot (9k NP), Amulet of Life (16k NP), and Jade Elixir (12 NP). However, the prices of these items are constantly fluctuating so before you buy one you might want to check the others to see if one maybe became cheaper.
FREEZER: Pretty much the same situation as the healer. There's the once per battle healers. First up are the cheaper ones, here their drawback is they have a 50% of freezing (though they do damage when they don't so while you're trying to freeze you are doing something). These are Randomly Firing Freeze Ray (2 Water & 2 Air; 50% Freezing; 200k NP) and the Shuriken (2 Air, 2 Dark, 2 Earth, 2 Fire, 2 Light, 2 Physical, & 2 Water; 50% Freezing; 2 mil NP). Honestly, though Shuriken does a lot of damage and can get some damage past all shields, you're buying one of these for the freezing so you may just want to go with the Randomly Firing Freeze Ray.
Now there are some once per battle full freezers you can afford. The once famous H4000 Helmet is 4 mil (though being war is coming the price may have raised) and the Heavy Blue Tunic which is also around 4 mil & has defense options (2 Air, 2 Fire, 2 Water) BUT to use it your Neopet's intelligence must be over 1,000!
Finally there's the fragile freezers. Now luckily they may not break after using it, but they still have the chance of breaking forcing you to get another one. The one every Neopet can use is the Scroll of Freezing (80k), though as you can tell from the price tag it's really not recommended unless you're only using freeze as a last ditch effort thing (though still the above 50% freezers are better and more cheaper in the long run). If you have a Lupe you can go for the Ancient Lupe Wand (17k NP), it's fragile so may break but its cheap price makes it an option... though I'd still go for the 50% freezers.
BOMB: Now, what do you do with the opponent once their frozen? BLOW EM UP when they can't block! There's two options on this level. First is the once per battle Jhudoras Potion (16 Dark & 1-8 Physical; 1 mil NP). Pretty much that's the only once per battle bomb that's worth it within your budget.
For one use bombs, there's several 15 icon options... but with the mains I suggested doing 14 icons at min is it worth it to mention them? Yes, sometimes the extra icon can mean the difference between winning and losing, but it's not often, especially for 2 player. For completion sake, I'll tell you the cheapest ones, all under 200 NP, they're basically the series of battle muffins except for one:
- Brain Muffin (5 Earth, 5 Light, 5 Physical)
- Darigan Muffin (5 Fire, 5 Dark, 5 Physical)
- Icy Muffin (5 Water, 5 Air, 5 Physical)
- Robot Muffin (5 Fire, 5 Air, 5 Physical)
- Smelly Dung Muffin (5 Water, 5 Earth, 5 Physical)
- Yoyo Bomb (5 Air, 5 Light, 5 Physical)
While cheap, I'd still either get Jhudoras Potion while saving up for a Ghostkerbomb.
EXTRA: Extra is just that, extra. Do you want to have an extra main? An extra shield? An extra bomb? Well these are the slots for them! Here is also where you can have a weapon which is isn't normally part of one of the above. Like here is where you would have one of the one use Full Blockers like
Thick Smoke Bomb (10k NP). If Stealing worked this would also be where they'd go, like the
Heavy Thieves Robe (blocks 2 Light; Requires having more than 67 Intelligence and 200 Speed to steal; 66k NP). But normally many use this for the duel duties I mentioned.
And that's it! I hope this helps.
