Okay! I just finished my weapons suggestion! BTW, this is for anyone if they need weapon suggestions, though if you had a bigger budget I could probably suggest more (though honestly it would have to be a way bigger budget). Thanks Ziporen for reminding me about the Turned Tooth! My "battle pet" is pathetic. I'm the one who shows up mostly for moral support, and tries to help by distracting the enemy by running between his legs. Or something like that. I don't think my battle pet is much past level 20. But I try... Well you could start training it. If you need goal suggestions my Ice Bori's petpage details at what goals you should aim for. I'll post them here for convenience: TRAINING GOALS: (NOTE: I've provided "wiggle room" so that if you go a bit over the recommended goal it won't cause problems (generally 5 for Levels and 10 for Strength, Defense, and Agility)
(Starting in Cap'n Threelegs' Swashbuckling Academy) (NOTE: Cap'n Threelegs' Swashbuckling Academy actually only let you train double a Neopet's level for all stats, including Endurance. This guide has taken this difference into consideration) 1. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 15 2. Level: 15 3. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 30 4. Level: 25 5. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 50 6. Level: 35 7. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 70 8. Level: 36 9. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 72 10. Level: 37 11. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 74 12. Level: 38 13. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 76 14. Level: 39 15. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 78 16. Level: 40 17. Strength, Defense, Ability, & HP: 80 (Moving to Mystery Island Training School)
18. HP: 120 19. Level: 75 20. Strength, Defense, & Agility: 150 21. HP: 190 22. Level: 95 23. Strength, Defense, & Agility: 190 24. HP: 230 25. Level: 101 (At this point you'll need 5 Codestones to train and it's likely that the sum of the 5 normal Codestones is surpassing the price of the Red Codestone average for consecutive courses. If you want, keep on training Level to 250 so you can start training in the Secret Ninja Training School)
26. Level: 115 27. Agility: 201 (At this point you can stop training Agility. If you want to keep training in it, just keep it even with Strength & Defense)
28. Strength & Defense: 230 29. HP: 290 30. Level: 121 (At this point you'll need 6 Codestones to train and it's becoming more likely that the sum of the 6 normal Codestones is surpassing the price of the Red Codestone average for consecutive courses. Once again, if you want, keep on training Level to 250 so you can start training in the Secret Ninja Training School)
31. Level: 145 32. Strength & Defense: 290 33. HP: 390 34. Level: 151 (At this point you'll need 7 Codestones and the sum of the 6 normal Codestones is very likely surpassing the price of the Red Codestone average for consecutive courses. From this point I'm going to skip to Level 250 so you can start training in the Secret Ninja Training School)
35. Level: 250 (Moving to Secret Ninja Training School)
36. Level: 295 37. Strength & Defense: 590 38. HP: 790 39. Level: 395 40. Strength & Defense: 790 41. HP: 990 42. Level: 495 43. Strength & Defense: 990 44. HP: 1190 45. Level: 595 46. Strength & Defense: 1190 47. HP: 1490 48. Level: 745 49. Strength & Defense: 1490 50. HP: 2235 51. Level: 750 (And now that your Neopet is a Grand Master in the Secret Ninja Training School you no longer need to worry about over training into the next course's level. If you got to this point, congrats!)

Duke Pikachu man you have no idea how long I was lookingfor something like that with all the stats and numbers. Thanks! Thing is, what if someone were to do kitchen quests? Or the cookies? I often get the poor poogle bumped because of this. XD;

Great reference info, Pikachu! Might even be a good time to make a battledome on a budget guide or something for the nt.

Duke Pikachu man you have no idea how long I was lookingfor something like that with all the stats and numbers. Thanks! Thing is, what if someone were to do kitchen quests? Or the cookies? I often get the poor poogle bumped because of this. XD; I planned for that. If you do the calculation, you'll see I always have a 5 point gap in Level/10 point gap in Attack, Defense, & Speed before the next threshold just in case you get a training bonus, Faerie Quest, or stat increase somewhere else. While not optimal, it does give you a better chance of not accidentally going over the threshold and having to pay more NP to train when you should be paying one Codestone less (for awhile I was hoping TNT would redo the Training Schools so the amount of Codestones you paid depended on the stats individually, not just Level). Great reference info, Pikachu! Might even be a good time to make a battledome on a budget guide or something for the nt. Thanks! Thing is I've seen a few training and weapon guides pop up in the NT these past few weeks and probably by players who know battling better than me so I'm just sticking with the Neoboards and forums I frequent.

In the spirit of Battledome recommendations, I would also like to point out that if you can commit to keeping your pet's level at exactly 250, you can use both training schools at the same time, which can significantly speed up training until at least 500 each in H/S/D. Random level stat boosts may mess with this, but hey, that's what Deadly Dice is for, and at that level the training schools are definitely cheaper and/or more reliable than most other options anyways. Jellyneo's In-Depth Battlepedia is definitely a good resource for reviews (although some are quite outdated), and they have a list of the top 100 weapons too (many of which are top-tier and rather expensive, others of which are fairly cheap for what they do), so feel free to take a look over that. Most weapon suggestions below will be also in there in more detail, but hopefully the rest of this post might help to skip past things like "absurdly cheap half-decent icons" and "woefully expensive but god-tier". If your pet doesn't have the highest boosts, you could get some decent utility from life-stealing items like Cursed Elixir, Dangerous Maraquan Yo-yo, or even Crisp Blue Tunic, which do a set amount of unblockable damage (except by freezing and abilities) once per battle, and heal you a set amount at the same time; also, the yo-yo apparently doesn't even use your healing slot! The former two have also been given out in events in the past few years, so you may already have one in your SDB. A note if you have a decently high budget and are considering going to the Hidden Tower for the anagram swords (Reif/Ari/etc.): Kelpbeard's Trident (from the Hidden Tower) is just as good in terms of icon count, and significantly cheaper. Skarls Hasty Mace is a couple million cheaper than that if you don't want to save up that extra bit, but loses out on a few icons. Anything less powerful as an offensive weapon probably has more cost-effective options out there (for example, Dr. Sloth's Personal Bath Buddy only has 1 more icon than the Water Powered Pistol other posts have mentioned, but has no defense and is much more expensive). Particularly for pets with low defence (such as lab pets, typically), percentage- or full-blockers can be a great way to go, but things like Thick Smoke Bomb and Downsize! can reduce all element types at once (100% for one use and 50% once per battle respectively), taking out a little guesswork. The former can also be bought at the Secret Ninja Training School, meaning you don't have to worry about it inflating if you have a powerful enough pet to shop there. (And it does the same thing as the 30m Thyoras Tear, with the caveat that you have to buy a new one every battle... which is still worth it if you're planning on using less than 3000 smoke bombs. Although, you can equip the Thick Smoke Bomb and Thyoras Tear at the same time if you really want to be classy.) If you've been using the Lab Ray for years so your strategy is banking on lasting long enough with high HP (like 750+) to just wear your opponent down, you could try the Sword of Lameness which can offer full heals (or freezes!) multiple times per battle and a decent attack most of the rest of the time, although it has only a 1/8 chance of a heal happening, and of course takes up both your healing and freezing slot and has a pretty big price tag besides (17m at the Hidden Tower), but could still be affordable if you have enough stockpiled from previous Charity Corners. (If you can't afford that price tag but have 600+ HP, Velms Healing Potion starts to beat out Rejuvenating Jar of Brains as a once-per-battle healer, and is an NQII Normal difficulty prize, meaning it generally stays Shop Wizard buyable, ergo much, much cheaper than said brains.) Conversely, if you have a fairly high defense-to-HP ratio, you could try the Everlasting Crystal Apple which heals you only 30HP but as many times as you use it in a battle. And a brief note on species weapons: although the Lupe has a fairly cheap but fragile wand, the Lenny gets not one, but two unbreakable 100% freezers: the Entangling Lenny Lasso and the Lenny Ray Gun of Freezing (so use whichever is cheaper), and considering a number of Lenny Morphing Potions are in Shop Wizard range, it's definitely a cost-effective full-freeze option if you don't care about your battle pet's current customization or if it's already a Lenny. (Consider also that the Bag of Lenny Healing Seeds is a fairly cost-effective species healer as well, 50% max HP for a fraction of the price of the non-species-specific equivalent Bag of Healing Dust.)

Apparently my battle pet isn't quite as pathetic as I thought.
Level: 39 Hit Points: 86 / 86 Strength: EXCELLENT (52) Defence: AWESOME (62) Movement: GREAT (28)
So I guess I need to focus on strength and agility (but does that really make a difference?) and then work on getting my HP up a bit too.

Unless you're dead set on using one of the weapons that requires high agility (which I believe is a stealer and stealing is broken last I heard so...) I'd just not train agility at all. In addition to bumping your strength and HP, I'd also focus on getting your level to 50 so you can access the Lens Flare ability

I had an idea that maybe Fyora felt sorry for Kaia and actually knows she is a powerful faerie. She sees that Kaia is not fitting in. So maybe Fyora is going to actually let some Wraiths in for people to fight and rig it so that it seems like Kaia is saving Faerie Land. She wants to help Kaia win approval and also be able to demonstrate her powers. Maybe the queen thinks she has this all carefully planned out. She plans only to let in a number of Wraiths that can be defeated. But maybe something unexpected happens. Then maybe Kaia really saves Faerie Land. Perhaps then Fyora is demoted as queen of the Faeries. I mean, she has been queen a very long time, but maybe she is acting a bit dodgy lately. There could end up being a war between the faeries and a split or a takeover of power. There could even be a banishment, although I don't know really where one would banish a faerie off to. It would be interesting to me to see a new queen or a shakeup if the faeries take sides.

Duke Pikachu I've decided to take your advice! Her HP is still a ways away from 790 but she'll be super buff by plot time. ^^

I went back and read the Faerie's Ruin again. I participated and I didn't do all the achievements. So it has been a while since I read all that. I noticed that in the achievements, it is the Yurble janitor who cleans the library. (Was he in the library when the fire started?) After the plot Hanso gets the job of being a thief but to use his talent to steal dark or dangerous Artifacts to bring to Fyora "So they don't fall into the wrong hands".
King Altador went looking for the darkest faerie statue since it went missing when Faerieland Crashed to the ground. As far as we know, that statue is in Maraqua. King Altador either knows this and allows it to stay there. Or he doesn't know it is there. Fyora wanted it, so she could keep an eye on it I guess.
Now we have a very similar situation happening. Xandra was quite a magical neopet and being trained by Fyora. After seeing the true extent of Faerie magic, she thought that Faeries really do little to help neopets.
Now we have Fyora training Kaia. She is a stranger to Faerie culture. Perhaps she will get a good look at what is going on and have similar feelings as Xandra had.
Only this time Fyora is willing to teach her a little bit more of magic than she teaches the other Faeries, because she sees promise in Kaia. It could even be that Fyora was doing the same thing with Xandra.
After Hanso is stealing all these dark or dangerous artifacts for Fyora "So they don't fall into the wrong hands", Fyora must have a lot of dark and dangerous stuff stored some place.
Fyora, being the queen, maybe thinks she can make use of some of these things. While being classed as dark or dangerous objects in the wrong hands, maybe as queen, in her own pride, she thinks that of course, she is above all that. Of course she is kind and benevolant and would only make a good use of these items, for some agenda of hers.
So she knows the risks of using these things. Yeah, maybe a few wraiths get loose? It happens. But we can deal with a few wraiths. It is just a small side effect and you have to think of the greater good.
But even a Queen can be mistaken. So maybe she thinks she has all this rigged anyway. She thinks she is going to have this plot all figured out, and even thinks she has forseen a way to boost Kaia up as a Heroine. Only I think it might backfire. Kaia may really have to save Neopia, maybe even save it from Fyora herself.

Kaia may really have to save Neopia, maybe even save it from Fyora herself. I really wished TNT would have removed the statue from Old Maraqua... The Darkest Faerie statue being in Maraqua is outdated. It was probably meant to be the starting place of The Darkest Faerie plot on the site, but TNT decided to make it into a game so it was left there and forgotten. However, canonically, it shouldn't be there. The Darkest Faerie freed herself a few years ago, The Darkest Faerie plot happened, she was turned back to stone and placed in Fyora's garden for safekeeping, Faerie Ruins' happened and Faerieland fell resulting her statue going missing, King Altador went out to search for The Darkest Faerie (hoping she's still in her statue state) but eventually had to give up to attend to matters in Altador (which is why he was part of Desert Diplomacy when last time we heard of him he was looking for The Darkest Faerie). We have no idea where The Darkest Faerie is at the moment nor if she's still petrified or not (and no, the Darkest Faerie Random Event means nothing, it's just another outdated thing). As for the rest of your theory, who knows what JS is planning. But personal opinion: I don't think what is happening has anything to do with Fyora. Sure it's odd she noticed plants are wilting and discovered Kaia's abilities yet didn't tell any other Faerie, but she maybe just didn't want to alarm anyone and have people running around when there was nothing to find (yet). She took action herself, searching for promising Faeries she could call the assistance of if the Wraiths did ever gain power to strike, which is how she found Kaia, but overall the situation was out of her hands and all she could do is watch how things unfolded and wait for her time they could actually do something.
Because at the end of the Faerie Ruins' Fyora said Xandra had a point in Faeries staying out of Neopian affairs and promised that her and the Faeries will be more active when trouble arises. The whole experience of the Faerie Ruins' was very humbling for the Faeries, both figuritely and literally bringing them down to earth. So it doesn't seem right Fyora would orchestrate this whole thing, possibly endangering all of Neopia, just for Kaia. Like, what's Fyora to gain from doing this? Thanks to her intervention Kaia has already become popular and making friends in Faerieland Academy and since Kaia looks up to her she's willing to do anything Fyora asks.
As for the dangerous Faerie artifacts, she wants to collect them so they can't be used. Xandra used an ancient Faerie artifact and brought the Faeries to their knees and almost took over all of Neopia. I think its understandable why she'd finally want to find as many as she could and lock them away, sort of goes with her and the Faeries stepping in to directly help Neopia. Sure, maybe they'll find a Faerie artifact that could help them if used responsibly, but that's a secondary goal as the first is to just make sure these items of great power don't fall into evil/irresponsible hands.
Also being these are ancient artifacts I don't think Fyora is responsible for creating any of them. Any ol' Faerie can bless an item to give it magical abilities, so these artifacts were probably made by powerful Faeries in ancient times for one reason or another (like the mirrors, it would be quite useful to have something that could instantly amplify magical powers). Maybe they were made by a Faerie with evil intent, or maybe they're just an old blessed item that built up magic over time. Either way they can be used in dangerous ways and, since they're Faerie origin, Fyora probably feels its the Faeries' and Faerieland's responsibility to gather and lock them away.

Nah, the Darkest Faerie statue was outdated. There's nothing to suggest it isn't currently canon. It disappeared from Faerieland at the conclusion of TFR, nothing to suggest it didn't fall back into the ocean. No one ever knew (aside from users) that the DF statue had ever been in old MQ. No reason for anyone to notice now.
Similarly, when they revamped the REs they specifically gave the DF RE an MQ background. There'd be no reason for doing that unless the DF was considered to be back in MQ. It isn't outdated - it was made after TFR and is the most recent part of DF lore we have on the site.
Personally, I feel that the DF's disappearance at the end of TFR was old TNT's way of resolving the on site discrepancy in terms of her location.
