Advent calendar begins today!Don't forget to click on the fir for a bonus prize. In this one it's in the first shot of a store window, to the very right side of the frame. So it appears we're in for another year of gawky, uncomfortable advent calendar animations! I also have the following pressing questions: When did the snowager have a kid? With WHOM did the snowager have a kid? Why does said kid look nothing like any other neopets character ever?

I love this animation. I have no idea why.
I guess I like awkward stuff. XD

When did the snowager have a kid? With WHOM did the snowager have a kid? Why does said kid look nothing like any other neopets character ever? Looks like a perfectly standard bipedal and clothed and rather tall Snowickle Petpet behaving as a Neopet, to me.

OMG FIRST DAY. SO MUCH EXCITE . So I loved todays animation. I interpreted it as the Snowager and his child going through a stroll through town. The kid is being like every kid and wants everything. I was like that too, so it's totally relatable. The Snowager isn't giving in though and even though he could easily steal from the store or Kacheek has holiday spirit. When they get home the kid is sad until the Snowager gives him his real gift a crown. I think that part was heartwarming.
I like today's wearable. Vikings are very cool. I don't know how I would use it yet though.

Not a fan of the Snowager having a clothed, Neopet sized kid that he randomly takes shopping sometimes.

Why are we all assuming it's his kid? I'm personally going to stick with the belief that it's his nephew. That makes it way more okay for the lil one to be bipedal, right? XP
But yeah as to Snowy going out Christmas shopping... yeah, I'm not buying it.

What I want to know is if all that really happened; it started out with the Snowager asleep and dreaming, and nothing (that I saw) indicated that the rest of it wasn't in his dreams as well X) Maybe it could be argued that he was just flashing back, but I dunno, it was just unclear to me. Nothing in this really bothered me I guess because I assumed it was a dream sequence, but I will admit, this was a very goofy, perhaps even surreal, visual XD Either way, I'm sort of like Reiqua in thinking that's his nephew.
But anyway, the story they tell is, I think, just how something in real life would go. A kid wants anything and everything they see, guardian tells them no, kid throws a fit, and guardian makes it up to them somehow.

I will concede it was silly and flies in the face of site canon, but for what it was I thought it was cute.
You have to find it hilarious though that a character who's entire schtick is to being a giant hording ice wyrm was so mature and frugal about not getting the kid everything he wanted. CX

Far and as I can tell the Snowager just wants a Snowickle or whatever that is so he can refuse it things and get a kick out of making others cringe when it cries.

Advent Calendar 2016: Day 1 (Like Snowager, Like Sonwager) ANIMATION: ... Okay. Now I think this is suppose to be a dream sequence. It's one thing for JS to mistake Bruce lay eggs (though admittedly we don't really know how Neopet reproduction work, nor I don't think we're suppose to) but giving Snowager a son that had a normal Neopets body and wore clothes? Yeah, could be a Snowinkle but since we started the video with the Snowager dreaming I think that's what we're suppose to take from that. Otherwise what would be the point of showing the Snowager dreaming? As for the animation itself, it was cute despite the weird Snowager son. Not only is he a little kid but also a Snowager, so that's double the wanting of everything (if he wants to grow up to be like dad/mom he needs to start his horde somehow). But what does this dream tell about the Snowager? That it wished to have a family or at least an heir to its horde? If so, how would it do so? Where would it find a mate? Or can it "ascend" a normal Snowinkle into a new Snowager? Once again, I think we're putting too much thought into something we weren't suppose to.
Gifts: Postcard if a gift thus just SDB fodder. The Golden Viking Helmet I guess is alright. An option for a warrior-themed customisation though not much else, and even then there's probably better options.

I feel like the only one who didn't read too much into the Advent Calendar animation. xD I didn't think they were ever meant to be canon. That being said, I had a momentary panic attack when I saw that animation, and had to reassure myself that Snowickles were not in the Fir prize pool >_>

I know that it's meant to be just a dream, but it's still awkward to me. |D;
Probably doesn't help that earlier when I first watched it Firefox wasn't being nice and the whole thing was lagging and I was getting very confused.

I think we've just met Nick Neopia's cousin from Terror Mountain. OK so when I first watched, I assumed it was Snowy either dreaming or reminiscing about a childhood memory, of Snowy as a very awkward child(?) begging a parent-Snowager for gifts. Only at the end, when they returned to the lair, did I realise it might not be so: "wait, did Snowy just give a crown to its own inner child, that just got meta, is it a symbol or wha-" I wouldn't assume that it's the Snowager's own kid, though. Eh, it's a long animation, seems to have thought and effort put into it, and it has plenty of Snowager screen time, so I won't complain. (I'll just poke a bit of fun at it c: ) Haven't tried the helmet on but it looks neat.

Maybe snowagers are just like reverse tadpoles - they lose their legs and arms as they mature? xP

XD That wearable looks pretty fugly on most species. They basically stretch or skew the base art without any care for different head shapes/ear configurations.
But I also haven't looked at Neo wearables for the better part of a year, so maybe this is par for the course?
