Got a 200k book with my last lot.

Seeing as the Charity Corner is still up, I'm guessing that trophies will not be awarded until the weekend's news is posted tomorrow.

Got a 200k book with my last lot. At least I didn't lose 160 mil this CC like I did with the last one. Call me pessimistic, but I figured with Events like this if you're meant to win something big you would in the amount of donations you do. It's like in real life when the lotto reaches the hundred millions and on the news you hear about people who buy hundreds of tickets... yet whenever this happened I never hear those people winning. Like the closest I remember something like that winner was a group of co-workers who bought one ticket each and agreed to share it among them. So yeah, if you were meant to win you would have won, or in this case if you were meant to get something good you would have gotten it in the amount of donations you would have donated. Thus why I sold most of my sandals but still used a good amount of them and I think I came out breaking even (thus telling me it wouldn't matter if I used all of them or sold them all). I say you need to set limits. This is pretty much gambling and most people who develop gambling habits didn't set a limit for themselves OR they broke it with a "just one more" which never stopped. You need to set a limit and stick with it no matter how tempting it is to go on. And you should also make sure the limit is something you can afford to lose if things go south.

Yeah, that's what I did this round. Last CC I went all out gambling. This time, I'm glad to say, I only spent 140k, and that was to even out a donation to five. Everything else was stuff I had already horded or got in a daily/BD fight after it started.

AND IT'S OVER!
I ended with 2050 donations in total (10250 items for those counting, though most were just Big Blue Blumaroo books). Once I get the final prizes I'll post my entire opinion of the event. What I can say right now while it has improved in removing some features... it didn't add anything to elevate it. I'll talk more about it later when the prizes are released.

Well, time to start hoarding for the next one.

I don't think the removal of features were an improvement at all. Adopt A Neopian was broken in the items it asked for, but it was a good concept. The solution was to fix it, not remove it. That could easily have been done by changing it from "find this specific item" to "find any item of this type/rarity" and letting you run several Adopt A Neopians at once. JS took the easy route out - that's not an improvement.

They're handing out final prizes now. I got the Bronze trophy, 2000 NP, 150 NC, and an Illusens Floral Notebook. It looks like the tiers for the trophy are pretty demanding; the comments on JN are saying as many as 750 donations still just gets a Bronze trophy.
I only did 200 donations, but I made out pretty well selling stuff. I think I got around 7 million selling in my shop, which is better than I got last year. I've also got a stash of items that I need to start funneling out.

Donated 1001 items and got silver while hoping for gold. Received 200NC, an Illusens Floral Notebook, and a dress up sloth doll.
....I like that doll. XD
Someone who donated 2000 times got the gold trophy but that's the extent of my knowledge.

So I donated 2000 items and 400 times, and only got Bronze? And not even 500 times was enough for silver, and Gold had to be an impossible 2000 times? People really thought they were doing good at 1000 times. Well you know what? Bronze is the prettiest color for a leaf anyway!

Hmm, not even a participant trophy. Given the parameters and deciding to sell any eligible items I got after I cleaned out my SDB, I think I made the right choice. I wouldn't have been able to donate enough to get anything meaningful.

I had about 540 total donations. I guess I just barely made Bronze.
Also, it looks like the background is a recolor of another item.

If by 'just barely' you mean '400 donations above the cutoff for' then yeah I made 250 and got bronze (which I'm not even mad about. Like June Scarlet said, it's the prettiest because it looks like a real autumn leaf ^__^) I wonder if they're ever going to get around to the participation medals for people who didn't donate at least 100 times. They did say there would be one in the editorial. I know a handful of people who just barely missed that cutoff and got absolutely nothing. :/

They are still (slowly) working through them. Everyone who donated at least 1 time should be getting something.
