July 26th: #PotterWeekPrompts Day 3. Ickle FirstiesMy original idea for this was a bit more ambitious (drawing them full body and with other props and things), but I simplified it, and this is the closest I'll get to a finished picture this month, I think XD; Anyway, I wanted to draw adorable 11-year-old Harry Ron and Hermione! This is pre-sorting. Hermione is excited because she's seeing everything she read in Hogwarts, A History come to life before her eyes for the very first time! Harry is just really amazed by everything and he still can't believe it's real, he feels like he might wake up in his cupboard any moment now... and Ron is worried because Fred and George told him that the sorting was difficult and that it hurt, and he's hoping they were just messing with him, but he doesn't know for sure! D: I wanted to play with a different style. Not that my style is very consistent anyway, but this is really different to the way I normally draw, I guess! XD AHHH THEY'RE SO ADORABLE. Also Ron needs a hug. D: I'll give him a hug. It's hard being comic relief, broski. I feel ya. I like that Hermione is dark-skinned! I actually was never sure about what she looked like while reading the books, but I've seen tons of artists draw Hermione as dark-skinned, and the design is so cool!  Great job capturing the variety in their expressions!  |

EEP I was so hyped to see you start Harry Potter week! Especially since I had just re-read all of the books and I fell in love with the world all over again... I still have a special place in my heart for the post, the books, and the newspaper articles written in the story. They all just seemed so... magical and rustic at the same time. Anyway, onto the actual picture, your owl is FREAKING adorable! love the detail in the wings and feathers; urgh, I wish I could draw birbs as well as you do. D: The hands were done fairly well as well! ^.^ And I also loved the bright outline of the patronus you drew for day 2. I always thought the dolphin was an adorable patronus; that, and the otter that someone else had that I can't quite recall right now... Thanks, Zoey! =D Ahh, I really want to re-read them as well, it's been a while! But they will always have a special place in my heart too! Thanks for your kind comments! I was really happy with how my owl came out! I don't really draw birds all that often, but I guess references really helped, haha XD Thanks for the comment on my patronus too! July 27th: #PotterWeekPrompts Day 4. AnimagusProfessor McGonagall is my favorite animagus! (Also keeping up the trend of inconsistent art, because again, this isn't my usual style... but I guess at this point I should just accept I don't really have one XD; )

Ahhh, I've been absent from this thread for over a month! I had a freelance design project, and that took all my creative energy for a while, not to mention that I was probably a bit burnt out from my draw every day challenge. XD; But anyway, I'm back! I don't have a lot to show, but I do have a couple of things I drew but didn't post. The first is this drawing of Link and Zelda that I drew as a present for Nut's birthday! =D  Then, Nut showed me this cool tutorial, and we decided to draw something following it, so I chose to draw Anna from Frozen. It was fun to try something different from my usual style, and I'm really happy with the result!  So that's all I have for now, but hopefully I can go back to posting more often here again! ^_^ |

Then, Nut showed me this cool tutorial, and we decided to draw something following it, so I chose to draw Anna from Frozen. It was fun to try something different from my usual style, and I'm really happy with the result! So that's all I have for now, but hopefully I can go back to posting more often here again! ^_^ I'm a sucker for Frozen art. I don't care if it's one of the most over-exposed franchises ever, it will forever have a special place in my heart. ^.^ So I was SUPER EXCITED when I saw your fanart of Anna! The shading is quite a divergence from your usual cell shading, methinks, but I think it looks really good! Ahhh! And I went to the tutorial as well, and I can see why you were inspired to imitate her style. her style is gorgeous! |

I'm doing Inktober! I decided I'm only gonna do it every other day, so it's more manageable for me, but it should still be fun! =D I didn't know what to draw, so I decided to go with the official prompt for today, which was "Fast", so here's Vanellope racing in Sugar Rush! =D  Inktober is always a challenge for me just because of how unfamiliar I am with ink, but I guess that's the point of it, isn't it? XD It's fun to experiment with new techniques! Anyway, I'm content with my result for today, but there are some things that could definitely have gone better. My biggest issue here was that I didn't test my paper beforehand, and as soon I started inking I realized the ink bled a little. XD; It's not TOO bad, but it doesn't look as neat. The car is super wonky, but I think Vanellope came out looking cute at least! The colors came out a little dull, but to be fair, it wasn't my scanner. They're that way IRL too, so I didn't want to "fix" them too much. I think I'll probably stick to black and white for the next drawing! |

I think the car looking a little 'melty' really suits Vanellope's offbeat nature, and her glitchiness! It works really well and this is super cute. <3

This is a little late but I love your harry potter drawings! The style is super clean and simple, amd I like how the characters deviate slightly from how they're usually draw (ie like the actors)

Okay... it's time for another mini art dump! About a week ago, I finally sat down and finished the Animal Crossing comic I drew as part of my draw everyday challenge in July, and here's the result:  I'm super happy with how it came out! I posted it on tumblr, and it was unexpectedly well-received! In just a few days it got close to 400 notes, and that just kind of blew my mind, because I'm definitely not used to my art getting that much attention. XD It was very exciting, though! =D It made me very happy that so many people saw it and liked it! * A couple of days after that, I drew this picture for Dan's birthday! It's him as a Pokemon trainer, with his Arcanine. =D  It was kind of funny to me that I also posted that picture on tumblr, and it got ONE note. XD I guess it goes to show how lucky I got with my AC comic... I mean, there's a lot of factors involved in what gets attention on the internet, and I get exactly why this picture wasn't likely to get a lucky break like the other one... but it was such a stark contrast. XD In that way, tumblr can be incredibly encouraging or discouraging. But that's okay, because I draw for fun, for ME. If I can make other people happy with my art, that's great, but I don't want to limit myself to drawing or posting just what I think it's going to be popular. And YET... I had actually been trying to come up with ideas for more Animal Crossing pictures or comics, because I got a few new followers from that last one, so I figured they'd probably like to see more AC art. I love drawing it too, but I haven't really been very inspired. I've gotten a couple of ideas, but nothing that really got me excited to draw. But tonight I was chatting to Jay, and I showed him the pokemon picture I drew for Dan, and he said I should make one of me with my pokemon, and that sounded like such a FUN idea that I just went for it and sketched this:  Yaaay, it's me and Blissey, and we're dancing! XD So yeah, I guess I'll be doing more Pokemon art instead, at least for now! XD |

I finished the sketch I shared in the last post!  ( What are backrounds lol, I need to start planning them beforehand instead of struggling with them last minute >>; ) But other than that, I'm happy =D Or should I say BLISSful? XD |

So yesterday I was like “Hmm, there's a new Steven Universe episode, and tomorrow is the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon and the premiere of Fantastic Beasts, what should I draw? … oh, I know! MORE Animal Crossing 8DD" Joking aside, (it didn't actually happen that way, and I do in fact want to draw fanart for ALL THE THINGS, why is everything happening at once??), I am here to share yet another Animal Crossing piece! I remade my town this past week thanks to the new update and have been on enough of a kick to get several packs of Amiibo cards and the HHD+NFC bundle. And I want to say you are doing the world a great service by filling it with more Animal Crossing fanart. *salutes*
