Guys, you had a month to prepare. What... Oh, right. You guys procrastinated on it, didn't you? xD; If only it were so simple as just starting early. Nah, it's easy to start planning early; I'm guessing most of us got our ideas quite a while back and were really excited about them, at least for that first little while. The real problem comes when your initial brainstorm starts fading, and you start to lose your inspiration. And for me, anyway, that often happens if I start planning too far in advance. For once, it's not a procrastination problem at all. ...At least, that's the way it is for me. I'm sure procrastination/sudden commitments/second-guessing of ideas can also play a part in it, but for me, it's all about staying excited about my story until NaNo actually starts.

I dunno...I guess what happened for me was that no matter how much planning I try to do, it never seems like enough, so I was kind of like, "screw it, I'm just going to have fun and not worry about whether any of this makes sense." XD;
Also, I find that I have to write out at least a little bit of the story before I can tell where it's going, and I can't do that until November...

It's one hour 'til kickoff here. O-O I saw some folks on the NNWM forums saying they're going to start with ten minutes of kamikaze-mode write-or-die. I am totally going to do that. =D

*groans* Half hour to go. I'm so having doubts right now, though I'm just hoping that's pre-nano nervousness brought on by being completely wiped. XD

I started writing at 12:00am, and stopped at 1:45am. I had such a hard time waking up this morning. I will never do that again! But I got my word count done.
