Hey guys! It's October, and you know what that means... Candy corn all month long wooo!Oh right, and also, NaNo season is upon us! =D We're just going to be reusing the Camp NaNo subboard this year, so you can feel free to start making your threads whenever you'd like. For those of you who are new to NaNoWriMo, this website should tell you all you need to know, but if you still have any questions, feel free to ask them here. For everyone else, use this thread to chat/gloat/rant/ramble about general NaNo-related things!

...As for NaNo-related, I'm actually like planning a plot and making up characters and stuff in advance and it's really really awesome. And it's a /really/ good idea if I do say so myself.
But at the same time, will I finish? I haven't for the past few years...

Oh man, that's only a month away, isn't it?
I'll try again, like always, though I don't know if I should expect much to come out of it, considering I've never won before, and this November will be no less busy than any other. Who knows, maybe if I set my expectations low enough, it can be the magical year when I finally succeed. xP

It's funny, I know that I shouldn't be doing NaNo this year because I'm going to have so many deadlines in November, but I just can't stop myself. Watching those wordcounts go up and not being among them would suck! So yay, i'll give it a good go. Last year my university schedule was kind to me during November, let's hope it stays like that this year too! XD

My university schedule is due to get kind of crazy in November so I probably shouldn't do NaNo this year, especially since I'm trying to aquire this strange novel thing called "a life". But that won't stop me. xD I can't help getting wrapped up in the madness.
Only question is what to write, since I'm so stuck for inspiration. Oh well, still got a month and plenty of madness surrounding me.

I probably won't be doing NaNo this year. In fact, I'm still plugging away on the story that I silently started in August as part of Camp NaNo (with little fanfare, might I add, as I had some difficulty advancing the plot), so I'll be trying to finish that one up before committing to write down another story (and others if I finish that before the end of November). It's that, and the fact that my workplace gave me a bit of wonky hours (1-9 EST or around that time), leaving me with the morning (I barely write/type anything down at those times) and the weekends to work on.

I'm going to try something new this year... I have an idea for the regular novel, which my muse and I both like, but I fear when it comes to the actual writing, my muse will become bored and bail out. On the other hand she has been pestering me for months now to write an English Pride&Prejudice-Fanfiction, so I'll promise her that if she has written her daily quota, I'll write one letter (as the story is intended as epistolary story). Hope it works. ^^

Whoadang, it's that time of year again. Time flies. Anyway, as for me, if all goes as planned, I'll be finishing up the second half of last year's novel this year. Or maybe I'll turn it into a sequel? Who knows, but that's what I intend to do. I should probably read through last year's again at some point to refresh my memory...

I'm in. <3 I have no idea what my schedule will be like or anything but NaNo is so inescapably fun. <3
The problem is, I have no new idea that's capturing me, so I'll have to either go with an old idea or think of something new in the next month. Both could be fun. =D

It's pretty unlikely that I'd win this year, but I want to give this a shot, anyway. I need an excuse to start writing more. I'm considering doing a NaNo-lite thing, like maybe aiming for 25-30k. So...NaNovella?
Whatever I end up writing, I want it to have an awesome ensemble cast. =D So...creating characters. I need to do that.

I'm going to attempt Nano again this year XD I want a fun goal to do, and I'm pretty excited with the plot I have so far. It's just with school and life, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do it XD But I want to surpass my last word count, which was a pitiful 5,000 words. So we'll see. XD
I think the biggest struggle with NaNo is that you have this awesome idea early October but you cant write a single word until November. Booooo!

Oh man, you guys, there are so many of us this year. xD *high-fives everyone* I'm excited. Are you excited? 'Cos I am. I think the biggest struggle with NaNo is that you have this awesome idea early October but you cant write a single word until November. Booooo! This is true. xD This is also one of the reasons I don't worry about tightening up my plans for my novel until about October 28th. That reason, and, you know, just general procrastination.

Oh gosh, yes. I'm trying not to get too excited for NaNo yet because at the beginning of October I'm all "ooh! NaNo!" and then by the time it gets to November I'm not all excited for it anymore. XD; Clearly I must spend Halloween time hyping myself up for NaNo! Dress up as one of my NaNo characters! (Except not, I have no time/money to make such an outfit. XD; Even though that steampunkish outfit would be a super fun costume. Some other year, maybe.)
