I'm surprised that I haven't seen a topic about this yet, so I decided I might as well start a thread for it.
If for some reason you are not aware of it, Neopia's beloved newspaper will be reaching its biggest milestone yet when it releases its 500th issue in 10 weeks (which should be June 24 if I'm not mistaken). Given the importance of this milestone, I'm sure we got some big things planned, yes? It wouldn't be right for this forum to let such a milestone go by without some sort of celebration now, wouldn't it?
I'd like to get a comic published in this issue and I'm currently hard at working in brainstorming some ideas. Before I get settled on anything, I'd like to know what everyone else is planning for issue 500. Will we be doing something extremely special for this one issue, like a massive collaboration or something? If we are to get something special together for this issue, we better start working now - our deadline is not that far away.

I missed issue 450 and now I'm set on getting this one!
I have a backup idea for a stand alone comic commenting on the 500th and appreciation of the times, but I was debating doing something more...special. Like an arc leading up to it, but if there's an idea for a big collaboration, I'd be more than willing to join in on it.

Heh. Half a thousand issues, eh?
I'm definitely going to do something special, but I don't really know what yet. Last couple of 50s I did Team Squad Force collabs with Fish and Abra, but I haven't heard much from them lately, so I don't know if they're up for a third year.

I've always fantasized about all the NT stars getting together to have a huuuge potluck party. I've imagined it happening for Christmas, but Issue 500 would actually be even better. ^_^
In any case, if there's a massive collab, I'd love to help!

I've been planning something special for this issue since the end of last year!
I've been through over 10 ideas for it and I've now settled down and picked one.
I've already got the comic I'm making for it inked and now I'm colouring it!
I want to finish it rather early so I don't miss out. 83
If there is going to be a big collab with it...no thanks. I'm TERRIBLE at collabs. (Hence to why I never join in with the April Fools issues.) And I've already started mine.

A collab sounds like fun, but I'm gonna have to opt out. =D I'm working on a mini-series to run beginning/through that week. Nothing particularly celebratory, but definitely Issue 500-themed.

Dang, I keep missing those 50th issues lately. There's a comic idea that I intend to get done for one of those issues at some point, but knowing me, it might happen for issue 650 or thereabouts xD I'd be down with a big collab, though, it's been ages since we had one (and I'm pretty sure I've never been in one, actually).
...ideas?

I can't seem to be able to have any kind of wit when it comes to anniversaries so I'm just trying to finish a series this week and start submitting it like a fiend in the hopes that it runs through that week. I NEED that shiny avatar! Hgggnnnnn.
*shakes fist*
But if anyone has an AWESOME comic idea I could draw it and collab with 'em.

I've been thinking of ideas for 500. This is one issue I want to get in, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get something going in time.

I'm already done with my comic for the big 500, actually. xD (Take that everyone I was first :I maybe. ) I just haven't submitted it yet because it's the first in a 7-part comic arc! Done with three parts right now, the fourth is a nice little one-paneller. 5, 6, and 7 will introduce the supporting cast of Techopalooza. (aka PETPETS!) Good luck to everyone~  Quar's breaking the fourth wall. :I She should be pointing at the Issue number when this comes up. |
