Guilty Gear really belongs in this thread. I have never seen to many rock and roll in-jokes in a video game (though WoW has a bizarrely large amount of references to post-punk bands). Also, like you said, the music is pretty great. The references really fly over your head when you're not paying attention, but then you do some research and... And definitely. ;D And those I put on here are only a very small fraction of all the music... @__@ Heck, a small fraction of my overall favorites from Daisuke Ishiwatari. ;D He and *Author Avatar* Sol loves Queen as well, and even if I don't really know them too well, it's still awesome! ;D Blue Beating, Bullet Dance, Active Angel, Queen of Rose, Oriental Flower, Weak Executioner, Catus Carnival, Thin RED Line, Rebellion, Lust SIN, Marionette Purple, Plastic Night, MOTOR Head, SUSANOOH, Reppu (Gale), Bang A Nail With Your Hammer, Gluttony Fang, Endless Despair, Nightmare Fiction, Memory of Tears, White Requiem, Alexandrite, Howling Moon... @__@ D.O.A, A Fixed Idea, Feedback, Blue Water, Blue Sky, A Simple Life, Keep Yourself Alive, Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead.), Holy Orders?, Still in The Dark, Feel a Fear, keep the Flag Flying, Bloodstained Lineage, The Original, Drunk Bar and Liquor, Vortex Infinitum, Suck a Sage, Haven't You Got Eyes In Your Head?, Meet Again, Fuuga (Elegance), A Fixed Idea, Good Manners and Customs, Momentary Life, Make Oneself, Sheep Will Sleep [If You Become Fatigued], Irony Of Chaste, Keep In Gates, Pride and Glory, Get Down To Business, Kage Matsuri (Shadow Festival), Revelations, Fatal Duel, Burly Heart, Communication, Conclusion... @__@ And so many others more... @__@ And that's not even getting into the same character themes like Blood Pain and Nothing Out of The Ordinary, the story themes like Calamity Trigger, Nocturne, Open The Gate, Altar, Mirage, Highlander, Pinky Promise, RUN, Hollow, Lakeside, Rimelight, RIOT, Limited Again, The Road To Hope, Rubble Song and Track 86 on the Continuum Shift Original Soundtrack, multiple character themes like Existence and Imperial Code, (vocal) Childish Memories, X-MATIC and vocal themes like Black Onslaught, Worthless Like The Sun In The Clouds, Love So Blue ~ Blue Heartbeats, Scarlet Onlooker, Reppu, whose lyrics were written by a fan, Flower Blossoms, aforementioned Sword of Doom, Awakening The Chaos, Ao Iconcoclast, Hekira Sora no Izaenaedo, Pandora Tears, DIMENSION SHIFT, Shinsou (Deep Blue) and Awe of She and Diva, Cry Camellia, Butterfly Sky and much more... @__@ That guitar guy who looks suspiciously like Axl's hidden song on the nighttime level of Kagutsuchi port for Blazblue Calamity Trigger... @__@ And then there's the live versions... @__@ And the fan made 8-bit and sped up and slowed down and just plain remix ones as well... @__@

Amazingness. @__@ ;D Edit: An old top comment by shadowblast007 on a video of Condemnation Wings on Youtube sums up my views on it: "I completely agree. That's my favorite type of music, classical with heavy metal. Who knew that such different music genres would be fantastical together? " It makes me feel so happy that I'm not alone in my musical taste! ;D 8D

I've ablsolutely fallen in love with Regina Spektor. Her song Music Box makes me laugh out loud. And Blue Lips makes me want to cry every time I hear it. <3

She is one of my favourite singer-songwriters. The sounds she can make with her voice sometimes... it's just like... how do you do that? xD Speaking of favourite singer-songwriters: Feist's new album comes out soon and I might be seeing her in concert when she passes through and ahhhh so much excitement!!!

Double post I know but Just. Kay. So. Drum's Not Dead by Liars.
Holy ________. @___@;
my ears oh my god I think I am dying what is this so good omg can't take it
Just... just just just just. This is the kind of music you lock in a chest and then take it out whenever it rains, but then I want to move to an old, creaky house with an attic in a place where it rains all the time.

GratitudeI love Danny Elfman. I especially love the stuff he did with Oingo Boingo way back in the day when he was young and hot.

wip florence and the machine = AMAZING. have you heard no light, no light & shake it out? i really like those two songs as well. along with cosmic love, which you already mentioned. (; ANYWAYS. lately i've been into bedouin soundclash! i really like their sound. for some reason they kind of remind me a bit of bright eyes & foster the people. even though they're not really like either all that much. and they're not quite a combination of the two bands mashed together. regardless. bedouin soundclash is awesome. some of my favourite songs by them include 12:59 lullaby, mountain top, walls fall down, brutal hearts, & a chance of rain.
