As a composer, I feel it's kind of obligatory for me to join this club. ` -`

Hey, guys! What have you enjoyed from 2013? This year's shaping up to be pretty good, from what I've seen. *__* Right now I really like:
A Hawk and a Hacksaw - You Have Already Gone to the Other World Baths - Obsidian Colin Stetson - New History Warfare Vol. 3: To See More Light DJ Koze - Amygdala Fire! Orchestra - Exit! Submerse - Algorithms and Ghosts These New Puritans - Field of Reeds Wayne Shorter - Without a Net
So much good stuff! =O And there's more to listen to yet...

How have I not joined this yet? *Joins while simultaneously reviving this.*
The type of music I'm currently into is soundtracks for various things. A heck of a lot of thought seems to go behind good soundtracks, and listening to them while keeping in mind the story behind them, or even if I'm unfamiliar with the story, just trying to guess what they're trying to convey based on the theme.
Currently, I'm listening to the Madoka soundtrack. I can't possibly choose a favorite piece from there; there's just so many good ones. Although I suppose Credens Justitiam, Decretum, and Magia (that one by Kalafina) stand out right now, but there's way more than that. They just... Did a really good job.
I also sometimes return to the soundtrack for the Doctor Who new series. Or heck, just any piece of media with a good soundtrack.
For modern music that isn't soundtracks, to be honest, I'm still soul-searching on what kind of those I like. It wasn't too long ago where I didn't think there was much outside what was blasted on every radio everywhere, and to be honest, I didn't have much hope for it, but I've since been introduced to other things that I've liked.

Really no clue where else to put this, but there's this song I played in band that's apparently a legit song (classical or neo-classical or something) and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called. So I was wondering if anyone here happened to know it and could help me out. 8D; It's got a sort of Spanish-y/Mexican sound, 'bout 120bpm, and this part in the post's attachment is probably the most recurring/distinctive tune, starting with the intro. <_< Attachments:
