I've always sort of wished there was a club like this on the NTWF, and I am sure there are many other music lovers out there who wish the same, so here is a place for NTWFers to gather and share their favorite songs, discuss bands, obsess over their latest musical discoveries, go crazy waiting for anticipate new albums and gloat about who they are potentially seeing in concert. Ooh! I may have to stalk this board lots and lots to hear what you all listen to and find new awesome music. =D I really love the Barenaked Ladies. They are my go-to for pretty much any time or any mood. Other stuff I tend to listen to a decent amount: Kansas, Keane, Juanes, Yellowcard.. I listen to a lot of stuff, really, it's more that my taste is kind of eclectic so I just pick up songs here and there from different artists. XD Also I'm currently listening to Sara Bareilles and she has the prettiest voice. Two other random other songs that I particularly love: Young Adult FrictionNo Rain |

Oh heck yes, sign me up. I like a whole lot of stuff. I listen to a lot of the same big bands that everyone knows like Pink Floyd, Rush, The Beatles, Justin Timberlake, Ozzy Osbourne, Rush, The Doors, and so on. I want to get that out of the way because some of the rest of my post is going to make me look like one of those nerds who only listens to bands noone knows about. That's not true, I'm just listing cool stuff for the people looking for new bands. I'm also not one of those people who will listen to anything but rap. I like Biggie Smalls, Outkast, JayZ, Black Star, Del the Funky Homosapien, De La Soul, and some other acts. I have to admit that I'm partial to old school and underground. It seems to be hard to find really good mainstream artists nowadays, thought that's true for any genre. I'm a big sucker for post-punk and new wave like Devo, Gary Numan, Echo and the Bunnymen, Oingo Boingo, The Police, Duran Duran, absolutely adore Talking Heads, etc. I can't stop listening to The Human League. I know that's going to sound super dated to most people. .____. I've been on a weird kick listening to bluegrass bands like O'Death, Casa de Chihuahua, and Hogscraper that are from like Brooklyn and Cincinnati and probably have never lived in the country. XD Someone who s completely awesome is Goran Bregovic, a Serbian musician who has had a huge influence on 'gypsy punk' musicians like Gogol Bordello and Balkan Beat Box. I know when a lot of people think about Mexican music they automatically picture Narcocorrido or mariachi, but they've got some good indie bands for real. I found a cool band called Jumbo a while ago, and another one called Porter. And of course I would be doing a great disservice if I failed to pimp The World/Inferno Friendship Society, my favorite band. Edit: perfect summary of a show |

Cha~ Why didn't we have this club until now? Sign me up, please? I tend to have more favorite songs than favorite artists. Hoever, some of my favorites include Mumford & Sons, Coldplay, Bon Jovi, Murray Gold, Jonathan Coulton, Jeremy Soule, Gotye, Avril Lavigne, and Paramore. I also have a bunch of Japanese songs, some Finnish and Swahili, and several songs from various video games.
