I really, really like Miho Hatori.
She's probably best known for her time in Cibo Matto.
The song is great, and to make it even better, the video is by Michel Gondry (director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and sooo many good music videos)!
She was also a collaborator on the first Gorillaz album, and provided the voice of Noodle.
More recently she's been doing solo work.
Edit:
I was listening to Handsome Boy Modeling School (highly recommended) this morning, and look who showed up as a guest:

Speaking of dubstep (or quasi-dubstep), James Blake is pretty good. His self-titled album is definitely worth a listen.

Has anyone heard of "Of Monsters and Men"? Their first album came out on the third, and I bought it a few days ago and have had it looping on my iPod ever since. They sort of remind me of Mumford and Sons. The album is called My Head Is an Animal, and it's only $7, so it's a good deal. My favorite songs from it are Little Talks, Mountain Sound and Dirty Paws. You can find the music video for Little Talks here. Go give them a try! :^D

They definitely give me a Mumford & Sons-y vibe as well. I had no idea they'd released an album! I am going to have to go out and get it, now. "Little Talks" is a great song.

I've got a mad jones to listen to The Unicorns today. If you get the chance, do a complete listen to "Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone", it's totally solid stuff and tells a little story. Otherwise, here are my favorite tracks:
