As I work more on this, it will become more and more refined. Right now, I'm just making notes on where things should be. I'll base the main roads and the like on it The red lines on the map are main roads that lead out of Tabloid Town, the two blue lines are the outlines of the river through the city... and the rest is explained. (Though I might like to note that the lines surrounding Beaver Hills, "Hoity Toity" and the possible area for the Slums aren't roads at all.) I'm having a little trouble placing the following places, though: The Silver Ring - somehwhere by the docks? Spaceport The River Tigris - between the docks and the slums? Gil's Shop - probably not too far from Spaceport; either that, or it's not too far from a main road? Zagora's Voodoo Emporium - maybe a little far from the center of TT, on the north side of the Scandalbrook? And if you don't think something should be where I've put it, speak up, and I will move it (so long as more than one person is in agreement on placement). I can help you with Gil's Shop. In Brassport XD

Depending if Brassport stays or not, which ever Steampunks that remain in NTWF might start up shops in Tabloid Town before making a guild base for themselves But I think Brassport might stay. Can't go wrong with a extra city

Zagora's shop is in Beaver Hills. That's her entire business plan: selling creepy and vaguely organic stuff to posh people for very high prices. Not to mention she has high prices because the creepy stuff she sells is hard to obtain, so Beaver Hills is about the only area where she can turn a profit.
As for Brassport, no reason why it couldn't stay, although should it disappear, I can just erase it off the map, it's still in pencil. Well, I've updated the map with as much as we have so far, and now it shows up on the first page of this thread as well. It now has a five-millimeter border around it too (not that it much shows, my scanner likes to bite margins off, but it looks much more professional on my wall xD) The only thing I didn't add was Crescent Moon Fortress, Dunburrow is a little too stuffed already and I got the feeling that it'd be too small to show up on a map of this scale.
Right now I think all that's left is names for some rivers, archipelagos and neighboring kingdoms just to make the map look y'know, professional, and the rest can get filled in during future events, I believe. This'll be a perpetual work in progress anyway.

I can't really tell, but that line that crosses through (or right next to) Ninja Dojo. Is that a trail or a river? Either is fine by me, I'm just wondering

Of course, differentiating between rivers and roads in a monochrome map is horribly tricky >>; And I'm not sure how to color it because that'd make editing difficult. But I figured it'd make sense to build the dojo near a river, digging wells in the mountains isn't easy.

I dunno if naming the forests is exactly high up on our priorities list, but I've been referring to the woods to the west of Falcorum and Caslte Kestrel as Peregrine Forest. I've been vague about how much of that treed area would be encompassed by it, though, so if you want to use it, you can decide that for yourself. =D

I basically traced over the second draft of the map, in order to keep some of the geography accurate for the Tabloid Town map. I could do the same for the most update world map pretty easily... Edit: Hunty... Let me know if anything is wrong on this map, and I will change it. (It's a little hard to trace over a pixel-based image in a vector program when you're zoomed in, let me tell ya.) I'm not going to fill in where the forests are and the like until I get the basic placement of roads and rivers down. Huge image is huge.

The-- *brick'd* Oddly, those all came up in my thought process XD Ok, the river will be called the Ebi River, and there is a small waterfall there called Sashimi Falls XD Of course the falls can't be shown on the map. That will have to go on the Dojo Map when ever I get around to working on it (spring break in a week, work on it then) Also, not sure, but a island near Cthulhu should be called Takoyaki Island ^_^;971

Hey Hunty, I'm wondering if the Kingdom I mentioned a few pages ago is okay... =/ -wobbles-
anyways, I agree with Draco. there should also be a set of mini islands near Takoyaki called the Cthulhu Chain.

A thought just occurred to me. In-game/-universe, what does NTWF stand for? Does it still stand for Neopian Times Writers Forum? (That would certainly go along with a lot of the fourth wall breaking that generally goes on in GW events.)
If not, it'd be nice if each letter stood for the major continents of the world. Or maybe each of the hemispheres has a specific name? What do you guys think?

Hey Hunty, I'm wondering if the Kingdom I mentioned a few pages ago is okay... =/ -wobbles- Don't see why it shouldn't be. It's on the map now, anyway xD *added Peregrin Forest and Ebi River, might scan the updated map in the next time it falls down from my wall, stupid two-sided tape never works the way it's supposed to* As for the NTWF, I think I always considered it to be one of those funky Fleet-given names, like those asteroids called MR2626. Although it doesn't explain how we ourselves call the planet. 'course, there's TMC the Fourth Horseman who really is called TMC (his name very most definitely isn't Too Many Connections) so maybe we just have different expectations for proper nouns. Although we probably shouldn't try to start our own Special Ancient Language here, that's just a massive can of worms. ...maybe we call it the NTWF because it was called NTWF in some ancient scriptures found in the caves somewhere, that were actually left behind by the Spacefleet or its old-time equivalent as they visited the planet back on the day :3 *smack'd*
