Ha ha, I can just imagine an NPC conversation...
A: Why do we call it the NTWF, anyway? B: *shrug* Dunno. A: That's good enough for me!

Hey Hunty, I'm wondering if the Kingdom I mentioned a few pages ago is okay... =/ -wobbles- Don't see why it shouldn't be. It's on the map now, anyway xD *added Peregrin Forest and Ebi River, might scan the updated map in the next time it falls down from my wall, stupid two-sided tape never works the way it's supposed to* As for the NTWF, I think I always considered it to be one of those funky Fleet-given names, like those asteroids called MR2626. Although it doesn't explain how we ourselves call the planet. 'course, there's TMC the Fourth Horseman who really is called TMC (his name very most definitely isn't Too Many Connections) so maybe we just have different expectations for proper nouns. Although we probably shouldn't try to start our own Special Ancient Language here, that's just a massive can of worms. ...maybe we call it the NTWF because it was called NTWF in some ancient scriptures found in the caves somewhere, that were actually left behind by the Spacefleet or its old-time equivalent as they visited the planet back on the day :3 *smack'd* [glow=red,2,300]Oh dear God, it's Stargate all over again. That aside, re: the map of Tabloid Town, didn't we say there was a section of town on the west end that was the "hive of scum and villainy" portion? Not necessarily the slums, just the part you wouldn't want to carry money in anyway. XD[/glow]

Since it was got brought up in another board.
I think some of the lower parts of Kage Mountain have forested areas on it. Yep.
Oh, and something that won't be on the map that I just thought of. I think in my characters profiles (Ninja+Knight) I wrote that they traveled to a country to the far east at one point in their lives. I basically think it's a mixture of Asian-like culture in that unnamed country XD But I think it's to far away to put on the map to really care. Just wanted to throw it out there ^^;

Just a quick note regarding the name of the planet: At the beginning of Guild Wars 2, the redshirt that fights The Commander refers to the planet as "Terrestrial Entity #53, codenamed NTWF." To this effect, the full Spacefleet name is probably NTWF-53. As for why it's NTWF, perhaps to them, that stands for Neo-Terran World of Fantasy or something along those lines?

I like Neo-Terran World of Fantasy. =D
Honestly I keep being reminded of a conversation in Soul Music that goes something like this...
"Sarge? Was that shop here yesterday?"
".... 'Course it was. It's been here ages."
"I know. But ... had it been here ages yesterday?"

Mkay, updated the map again. It's now in colors and a bit more maplike. Chances are it can be considered finished as of now, until we get to coming up with new places in future events. There are definitely a whole lot of important-looking junction towns just begging to get fleshed out and named, and chances are that there are a bunch of small kingdoms in the mountains up north.

For some of those towns and kingdoms we will need a close up map, or else there will be a lot of dots and names scribbled on the main map XD

Could the forest to the north of Brassport (and north of that lake) be named Shearwood. =DDD

I've got a question about Tabloid Town: approximately how many people live in the city and suburbs of TT? I'd still like to finish the street map, and knowing the size of the population would help.

The map's gotten a long-overdue update again. (I don't like getting it off my wall for a re-scan for every little change because it's a hassle. A sticky, duct-tape-ridden hassle.) Shearwood Forest is on now, as well as all the relevant place names in Tristan and Belle from the snark-RP. It's also starting to look more map-esque by the day because it's been bleaching and yellowing out on my wall for half a year now. Fun.
As for Tabloid Town, I always thought of it as a city of one million (solely because of Ankh-Morpork) but it may well be less than that. Not sure if it's ever been actually set in stone in the RPs.
