You do not have to have any knowledge of DMFA in order to join! ^_^ATTN: SAIA has opened its doors, at least partly, to invite new races to study magic in its hallowed halls. A committee has made this decision, and though Headmistress Fa'Lina wasn't happy about it at first, she has grown more accustomed to the idea. To begin, choose a species and a race. List of Species: Equine (Horse, zebra, mule, etc.) Canine (Dog, wolf, fox, etc) Feline (Cat, tiger, etc.) Rodent (Mouse, rat, etc.) Mustelines (Otters, weasels, ferrets, etc) List of Races:[/glow] www.missmab.com/demonology.php[glow=red,2,300]Please don't pick anything that's not a link. You can't be any other the Species/Classes listed at the bottom. Also, you can't be Deathbringer. Other than that, anything's up for grabs, even Beings. Accuracy - Determines whether you hit the other guy, physically or magically. Hit Points - The damage you can take before we have to have a Warp-Aci give you mouth-to-mouth. Magic Points - The number of spells you can use before you're all out. Equine +2 HP, +1 Str, -3 MP Canine +3 HP -3 MP Feline -3 HP +3 MP Rodent -2 Str, +2 Acc Musteline -2 Str, +2 Dex Everyone gets 125 points to spend on stats. Spend them wisely. Weapons: Everyone can have one physical weapon. Shapeshifters like Weres and Phoenixes can't use their weapons when in full wolf or Phoenix form. Claws do 1d6 damage on both. Sword - 1d6 damage, +2 strength Bow and Arrows - 1d6 ranged damage Spear - 1d8 damage Club - 1d4 damage, +4 HP There will be other pieces of equipment that you can have as you progress in the game. Ikkin and I think that Fa'lina is motivated by pain. Or muffins, But muffins aren't an emotion, so...
Gyphon has higher Dexterity. He goes first.
Gryphon: *casts Stormcry* *Rolls a 4*
For every 10 points of dexterity, it becomes more likely that you'll dodge. Since this Gryphon is low-level, I'll use a d6 for his accuracy. If I roll a 5 or a 6, Fa'Lina dodges.

Every turn, you get one main action, (an attack or a spell) a movement action and as many random actions as you like. Random actions include talking, shapeshifting, mooning the enemy, etc.
I'll use my movement action to get closer to the Gryphon. I cast Lucifer's Laugh on him. *rolls a 3*
For every 10 points you spend on Intelligence, you can add one point to the damage done using spells. So I will pwn this Gryphon for 5 damage.
For every 20 points of Accuracy, you go up a die. Normally, I'd use a d6 to find out if I hit this Gryphon. Now, I'm using a d8. His dexterity is 30, meaning if he rolls a 6, 7 or 8, he dodges.

Most of the time, I'll simply ignore the strength and intelligence of enemies. Unless the stat is in the 40s or 50s somwewhere, it's not worth factoring in the damage.
Strength: for every 10 points of strength, physical attacks do +1 damage.
Elements: Spells of one element will do double damage to creatues of the opposite element. They will not do any damage to creatures of the same element. If rare cases, spells of the same element will heal your opponent, but we don't have to worry about this at your level. ^_^
Fire opposes Water Earth opposes Air Darkness opposes Light
You guys don't have elements. It's easier on Rider's brain that way. For example: If Bob is a dragon and Tom is a mer, and they're both fighting a mer, Bob will take the same damage as Tom.

Oh! I'm SO joining that!! =DD *DMFA fan* I'm checking my own rp and then I'll post my character profile ^^ *needs to decide between fae and were....* Edit: Here's a basic profile of my character. I'll add whatever other information is needed later. =3 Character Name: Carol Melody Naoki Nickname: Melody, Melo, Die(really) Age:17 Specie: Canine(Fenec) Were Appearance: HUGE ears, white colored-fur, Red eyes. Usually wear beige, Amazon-Like clothing, blonde, long hair. Weapon(s): Hand made spear Personallities: Many describe her as dimwited.... and they wouldn't be entirely wrong. Happy-go-lucky, she has a tendancy to take things with a grain of salt. Life is to short to care about things too deeply. Still, when needed she can be quite intelligent and give good advice to her friends... before going back to being her good old odd ball self. She is quite the exception to were as while she completely take her were heritage, she isn't really territorial or anything... Background: Depiste her odd clothings, she was born inside of a normal city to a Were-mother, and a normal, scientific being. She sometime refer to her Being little sister and seems to love her dearly. It is very likely leaving her behind was one of the hardest thing she ever did.. Relationship: Nope. She more than usually scares boy away. Age: 650 Species: Feline cubi Appearance: Semi-slitty emerald-green eyes, yellow fur and maroon "highlights"--i.e. hair, wings. Wears slinky Renaissance-style gowns, like what you'd see in a department store these days billed as Renaissance style. Mostly goes with a color scheme of gold, with green accents to match her eyes. She wears a gold circlet (draped over her head-wings) and three rings as far as jewelry goes; they're all set with emeralds. Weapon(s): A shiny spear. Mostly for aesthetics, but she does know how to use it when it comes to fighting. Personality: Intelligent in a sly way, cynical, sarcastic. Cares more about her appearance than she cares to admit to herself (or anyone else, for that matter). It takes quite a bit to win her over, but once she's on your side, she is quite definitely on your side. She's only a fighter when it's required of her; otherwise she likes paying others off to do her dirty work much better. Anyway, she isn't very good, even though she likes to pretend she is. She's also quite power-hungry and will associate with people if she feels that they will help her move up in terms of influence and general power. Now to come up with appropriate spells. Darkball - Does 1d6 of darkness damage to an enemy. Cost: 5 MP Utter Defeat - If you roll an 18, 19 or 20 on a d20, one opponent is instantly defeated. Note that this does not work on bosses. As your level goes up, your chances of utterly defeating an opponent will rise as well. Cost - 10 MP Endarkened Truth - Read what is going through a person's mind at the time. Cost: 2 MP Special Ability: Succubus Soul! When someone in the immediate vicinity is humiliated, Alissa's Strength and Intelligence stats double. [/glow]
