The Dalek's robot shell is cute. =D Especially in the old versions, when throwing a hat over its eyestalk, fleeing up some stairs or pushing it onto its side would render it useless. XD You know you've given me an idea for a whole new activity. Sod cow tipping, let's go DALEK-TIPPING! Even the new ones don't seem too immune to that. Sure they can EL-E-VATE now, but that's doesn't mean they can right themselves ;D I'd probably best go hide now. If one reads this it'll come to exterminate me. I wonder how Dalek-creator Davros would react to being tipped... hmm, now there's a thought. Maybe I should go hide in the Time War so I can put that to the test... If you're going to get exterminated for that, then it looks like I'm in trouble... My school has shirts and notebooks and stuff advertising our "cow tipping team" (we were born as an ag school, if you couldn't guess), and so when you mentioned Dalek tipping I couldn't help but to do this.. It's not all that great looking since it was thrown together pretty quickly and I lack decent editing programs, but it still amuses me. XD

XD It may be simple, but it seems we've got a banner for the new campaign ;D Let's all go Dalek-tipping! Seeing that picture has motivated me. The only problem is... didn't the Time War wipe them all out? Well, except the odd one or two... The Daleks seem to have adapted the ability to vaporize humans to the touch... so, uhh, probably not a good idea. D= Ah, but if we've tipped them they can't touch us, so no worries there Today we have witnessed the birth of a new sport it would appear. All we need is for the revival of the Dalek race and then we can finally represent Earth... or any other planet of your choice in this AWESOME new activity ;D Big points to anyone who can tip the Dalek Emperor

I haven't even watched the old series and I am in awe of the epicness that is that scarf. I'm not sure I'd have the patience for that. Then again, I'm knitting a TARDIS, so I've got no room to talk.

Ah, just have to post another quote because it made me laugh. From Christopher Eccleston's ep "The Doctor Dances" (BBC are showing all of series one, one ep a day, hopefully they'll move on to series 2 next week as well!) Old woman: Doctor Constantine, my leg has grown back. When I came to the Hospital I only had one! Constantine: Well, there is a war on, are you sure you didn't just miscount? So simple, yet it made me laugh so much. I think Richard Wilson helped that of course, what with his previous role as the ultimate grumpy old man, Victor Meldrew

Yay! Brilliant. Haha, I remember I was the 4th doctor once on this forum for the spirt week, there where quite a few doctors. I havn't really seen the old series yet, even though I have a ton of DVD's that my Dad "got" for me from his friend. I've only seen one episode from each doctor, a few fourth doctor episodes (if you include arcs), and a lot of ten. I wish I could see more nine, but they rarely play him! It's cool that your knitting a TARDIS! What exactly is it, a plushie or something else? Ah, just have to post another quote because it made me laugh. I'm glad BBC showed that episode, it's so famous in Doctor Who culture, but I never saw it until then. They are showing all of season one!! I need to check my Mom's rooms DVR. I've haven't seen that many season one episodes. (even though he was the 1st doctor I've seen... though at that time I didn't like Doctor who [looong story, lets just say I was confused and my Mom liked the show as a kid. If you want the full story, just say so.) Anyone see Torchwood: Children of Earth? I thought it was Brilliant!!

"Mu-mmy! Are you my Mummy?" *shudders* But creepy in a very good way! But yeah, good ol' BBC do show some good stuff sometimes (I love them dearly whenever a new series of Top Gear starts up), but sadly tonight we start the finale to the Ninth Doctor with the ultimate challenge for our new sporting enthusiasts. I can now officially say I've seen all of this series though due to what the Beeb have done. I just hope they move on to show all of series 2 and David Tennant's first run as the Doctor. The end of that series is pure class the whole way. I never really got into Torchwood. Just like with Doctor Who my housemates watched it, but although I didn't actively abuse it like I did Doctor Who on my first viewing, I also never got into it later like I did with the Doctor. Although from what I've heard it was really good. Oh, and feel free to share that whole story. Be nice to hear the tale of another person who didn't like it then got converted

Although from what I've heard it was really good. Oh, and feel free to share that whole story. Be nice to hear the tale of another person who didn't like it then got converted Well... Ok then here it goes.... Ignore the run on sentences and whatever else is wrong with it, I tried to get as much info in there in as less space as possible. Back in, 2005/6 (when Sci-Fi started showing it) my mom started watched Doctor Who when it came on after Star-Gate (I used to be quite a fan of Star-Gate, but it got repetitive and bad after awhile). I saw parts of the episodes with her (I never saw the inside of the TARDIS except for the one part I saw of "Fathers Day" where there was noting but a normal inside, thus I thought that someone nicked his time traveling gear and thought it was that big, no bigger). She told me she loved Doctor Who as a kid when they showed it on Channel 11 (Public TV) and that it was a guy with a weird outfit, crazy curly hair and a very long scarf that traveled with a companion and a tin-foil dog in the blue box. I said (along these lines), "Wow, so this is yet another remake of an old TV show. That guy sounds funny, I'll have to look up his photo before google gets filled up with photos of this guy." I forgot to do it for ages, I wish I did then, I probably would of been a fan sooner. Anyway, so since I thought that, I stooped watching it with my Mom as much (which wasn't much at all, I also thought it was ridiculous and that Rose was an idiot (Like I said, I didn't see whole episodes, just parts. Little parts at that.), because I thought it was then a bad remake and wished they brought back what my Mom described, it... I don't really know what I was thinking, it was ages ago. So then I saw that commercial for the episode where nine turns into ten, and then I was saying, "What a cheap thing! They just go and switch actors just like that! I bet he's not as good either." I didn't know he could regenerate and thought it was a bad writing/switch thing. I don't remember my full thoughts. My Mom stopped watching it because, as she told me when we got into watching it again, that she thought she wouldn't like the new doctor. Then that when she did like it with David Tennant, she stopped when Rose left. Anyway years passed and when a person (an artist who's live-journal I watch) posted something about Doctor Who, I remembered that I was going to look for that photo of the old guy, and that, so I googled Doctor Who (this was around Sept. 2007) and read the Wikipedia. Wow, I finally got what was going on! He was a time lord who could regenerate, and that 10 actors have played him! This wasn't a re-make, it was a continuation! Wow, what a great sounding show! That guy my Mom mentioned was the 4th doctor it seems! Blah blah blah! I told my Mom all this, and she was surprised about the 10 doctors thing. She didn't know about all of them. She did know it was a continuation and that, I won't get into all of it. So, then I saw that they where playing a new season on Sci-Fi, and I got my Mom into watching it again. We came into the last 3 episodes of the 3rd season. Then I became a huge Doctor Who fan, googling this and that and now I know more about Doctor Who than my Mom. That is how I became a big Doctor Who fan. ^_^ Though I didn't know how big the TARDIS was for awhile. I was shocked that the TARDIS had a big room on the inside, and then when I saw a 4th doctor episode on you-tube, it happened to be the one where they go all around the TARDIS. Oh, I forgot to mention that once, my sister and I tired to get into the show (When one season 2 episode came on, and/ or when season 3 started. Not sure if one or both) but we got confused. XD

Yeah, the TARDIS is going to be a plushie-type thing. This has the link to the pattern and what it *should* look like when it's done. Although my first try on the multiple-colors thing didn't work out and I undid the whole panel and have to start over on that piece now. Oy. I've never seen Torchwood, but my roommate can get it on Netflix, so we might start doing that after we watch the rest of Doctor Who. It's really annoying that I don't get any channels that air either show, though. Especially that one day when there was a Doctor Who marathon on Sci-Fi right after I came up here. I really want to watch Torchwood, though. And I won't deny that a large part of that might just be due to my fangirlish crush on Captain Jack. XD

A question for you, fans of Doctor Who! I need to know if I was hearing things (knowing what came next), or if a piece of music in the frankly weak episode I just saw was actually saying what I thought it was: Now right at the end you get that music playing out as they chant something ready for Dalek Zek to transform into a human (don't like that idea, it defies the point of Daleks and they AREN'T CUTE ANYMORE!). Now was it my ears, or was the music actually chanting something along the lines of:
"It is a human Dalek. It is a human Dalek. It is a human Dalek"
That expression fits the tune well, and I honestly thought that was being said. Does anybody know if I'm right in all that, or if my ears are simply being useless.... again. I realise it's a trivial point, but trivial points are important to me (I have a very big bank of them )

I think I know what episode you're referring to. It's the one where the Empire State Building is being built, right? Yeah, the two-parter of "Daleks in Manhattan" and.... I don't know the name of the second episode. The really naff ones set in New York 1930.
