[shadow=purple,left,300]The Cybunny drew a chipped, rusty cutlass, and brought it up to meet Kat's cutlass. The wench feinted and leapt backward, but her opponent followed as well, the rusty blade chopping through the air and looking more like a simple reddish-brown and silver blur.
Kat brought her own weapon up just in time, and heard the clink of steel on steel, feeling her hands absorb the slight shock of the impact. For a while, both of them exchanged blows, Kat constantly cursing the fact that she forgot to braid her hair.
"Hey, look, up in the sky!"
She raised one hand and created a huge purple fireball that exploded out of her palm, raced high into the sky, and exploded into a flurry of dark amethyst clouds that spread out, causing a lightning storm that flashed in various shades of purple.
And while all the pirates looked up, lured by the sound of thunder, Kat started braiding her black hair, running off to hide behind a stack of crates. Hopefully her diversion would get the pirates off the ship.
Because if it didn't, she had another one.[/shadow]

"OOoooooooooh shiney violet lightning!" exclaimed the little weasels, who were now infesting the nooks and crannies of the white ship that matched their fur color so well.
Meanwhile, their employer lay unconscious.

((question: Are we fighting more pirates or a guard of sailors headed to re-inforce the lost desert army/navy? Cause I was under the imrpression it was the latter.)) [glow=red,2,300]((It's the latter. ^_^)) Guards were throwing themselves into the water to escape these strange forces. "Augh, Kat, no damaging the ship!" Rider called. Ventratta, spotting the Elephante harassing Ikkin, attached himself to the Elephante's leg. This only seemed to cause more problems, as the Elephante couldn't feel the Meepit's teeth, but felt his inconsiderable weight well enough. The Elephante shook his leg in an attempt to dislodge the tiny rodent. Ventratta clung to the leg for dear life.[/glow]

"What do you think you're doing, you silly Meepit?" Ikkin asked as the Elephante flailed around trying to throw Ventratta off. Didn't the Meepit know he couldn't hurt an...
Wait a second, she thought, scrambling out of the way of the Elephante's stomping feet. She could use this to her advantage...
While the Elephante was distracted, she leapt behind him and set his tail on fire. There was no way he could ignore that. It wasn't long before he'd thrown himself overboard into the water to try to extinguish himself. As she engaged with another guard, she found herself near Rider. "Er, I hope your Meepit can swim..."

Echo heard a commotion going on, but she silently grabbed her weathered leather rucksack from in front of her feet, and climbed up the anchor rope quietly. She didn't really want to make a scene, and she was kinda scared to jump into a fight. She looked down on the rowboat to make sure she had everything, felt the hilt of her sword, and continued climbing until she made it over the side of the boat. She transformed into her small wolf form and silently padded through the commotion until she made it to the galley of the Weewoo. Happily, she locked the door and began rummaging for some food, letting her mini snow leopard out of the large rucksack.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Kat stood up again, cutlass in hand and hair in braid.
"Wha - "
She could only watch as one of her magical lightning bolts accidentally struck a sail, burning a hole into it. Another bolt went for the mast.
"Hey ho, not too low!" Kat shouted, pointing one finger at the storm. It rose higher as it raged on, but now the bolts were too high up to strike any other parts of the ship. She cursed herself as she drew her wand and stuck her cutlass back into the sheath at her belt.
The gold star glowed as it set off a jet of purple light that gathered around the damaged part of the sail, and what looked like little threads of purple fire started stitching it up.
For a moment everything seemed to spin in her sight, but Kat ignored it, even as she tottered on her feet.[/shadow]

"Er, I hope your Meepit can swim..." [glow=red,2,300]"He's my Meepit," Rider said matter-of-factly, as if to settle the arguement there. The number of guards on the ship was rapidly dwindling. In ones and twos they abandoned ship. The Hissi was little challenge; his sword was not one of the speciallized tail-swords found in nearly every port. Add that to the fact that he didn't have arms... A few left. "We'll never surrender! Never! nev-" *clonk* "Mommy likes pudding bags. @_@" [/glow]

Keng raced down the dock on all fours. There was far to much ruccus for anyone to notice the clothed wolf, and before long she had dashed behind a jumble of barrels and crates where she commenced to transform back into her human form, safely hidden from any witnesses.

The galley of the ship had remained unusually quiet throughout the fight. One of the reasons for that being the fact that it was watched by dozens of silent beady eyes in dark blue faces. Kitchen wenches don't like staying in galleys when dozens of beady eyes pop out suddenly. It had caused some good screaming and panic and all that, but it hadn't lasted very long. The meepits had found it somewhat shameful.
Now their attention turned to the little snow leopard.
"Um, Joe," a quiet voice emerged from behind the flour sack, "are these edible?"
"Everything's edible with the right spices," another voice stated somewhere near the oven. "It's the consequences we need to worry about. No eating anyone as long as we don't know whose side they're on, or will be on, or whatever." A dark blue meepit climbed out of a cookie jar to shoot a glance at Echo and her pet. "Until then, 'ello and welcome, I'm Joe the Editor, and a few more names. How are things progressing out there, guys?"
"The pirates are winning," said another voice near the window. "Someone better go downstairs and tell Hunty."

Fenrix raced up the mast into the crows nest and knocked a brightly colored Pteri of his post. From her spot among the sails she could see for miles, and from below, she could see the chaos on the deck. "Looks like we're winning. And it sounds like fun." Her part having been played, she was content with Watching, she let her long coat fall to the floor of the nest and leaned against the mast, casually peeling an apple and eating it.
OoC//: Anyone besides me ready for this fight to be over?

OoC//: I'm perfectly ready for it to be over... >.> If you're not fighting against a thinking opponent, it's hard to get more than two posts out of the fight. IC//: "Rider!" Ikkin yelled as the red-caped girl got clonked over the head by an Ixi that looked strangely like Nabile, and had equally-strange "hooves." She shoved the Ixi from behind and watched it fall over the railing and into the water with a splash. No one was going to hurt that thief until she got her revenge, and the middle of a fight was a really bad time for that. "Wake up, sleepy-head," she said, shaking the other pirate.

Now, fully transformed, Keng snuck onto the boat. One guard got in her way, but she managed to our maneover it and knock it into the water, then duck behind a new set of barrels and cartes. ((hidding until I get back))

"Raise the anchor! Unfurl the sails! hey, Odd-Ears, let's get a little wind in here! I want to be out of here before anyone notices the commotion. Chart a course for Brightvale, and find out what this ship has in the way of provisions."
... "And who here smells like sweaty fur?"[/glow]
