Ikkin's tail twitched at Rider's comment. "You hadn't noticed my tail?" She stifled back a laugh.
"Anyway, I think I might be able to distract them. Call in a high wind or something, so they'd either be busy trying to keep the ship afloat or trying to get onto land so they don't go down with it. Sound good to you?" She still couldn't believe she was doing this... but, it wasn't as if she had much of a choice.

"Fine then. Well, why shouldn't I turn you in for this commandeering, hm?" Zylaa asked, still adopting the facial expression of someone who had just been force-fed lemons. [glow=red,2,300]"Because if you make a single peep between now and midnight..." *MELODRAMATIC FLASH OF STEEL!* "I won't carve up this delicious ham for you." Rider cut up a conveniently-placed unattended ham nearby. "And yes, Ikkin, that works." Night fell like a load of bricks. Rider paced the docks, gazing at the beautiful ship. How her white wood gleamed in the moonlight! A pearl among boats. She retreated back into the shadows of the alley. "Ready?"[/glow]

"As ready as I'll ever be..." Ikkin said. There was a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. This couldn't be good...
Ikkin took to the skies, hovering a safe distance above and away from the white ship. She had to distract the crew somehow... or, even better, force most of them off of the ship. She didn't like the idea of massacring everyone on the ship in order to take it. She might be turning pirate, but she still disliked excess force.
She called up her wind. It started off gently, whipping around her fingers in a way that made her feel a bit more comfortable. That wouldn't be much of a distraction, though... She whipped her arms around, the wind following their path, then thrust them both towards the mast of the ship. It creaked and groaned in protest as the massive winds struck it, tilting the ship until the side opposite her nearly reached the water. If that didn't distract them, nothing would.
Sure enough, the passengers on the ship ran up to the deck to see what had happened. They stared up at her in disbelief.
"It's a ghost!" one of the crew members, a stocky Kougra who looked to be a lieutenant by the trimmings on his coat, yelled, pointing up at her.
"No it's not," a less superstitious Mynci soldier said. "Shoot it down before it ruins the ship!"
Several arrows flew up at Ikkin, who barely managed to avoid them. The winds died down as she focused her attention elsewhere. This couldn't go on for long...
"Stop shooting at me and get off the ship right now or I'll tear the mast clear off!" she threatened, blasting an even more powerful gust of wind than before at the mast to emphasize her point. She couldn't follow through with it, of course, since they all needed that ship whole, but she could hope they wouldn't know that.

[glow=red,2,300]((Whatever floats your boat, Echo! XD Pun muchly intended.
And we aren't going for uber-violence here.Throw a few punches, knock them out. Slashy, but no stabby right through or anything. Even if we do kill someone, nothing that Phoenix Down can't handle.))
Rider threw a grappling hook. It was guided to the ship by three faerie Meepits. "Thanks, Magus Sisters," Rider said, climbing the rope and motioning for the rest to follow.
She drew her sword. "Yarr, I be takin' this ship now, so you'd best listen ter the pretty kit-soo-nay."
"You're outnumbered," squawked a Pteri.
"And you're outwitted, what of it?"
A Chia with a sword lunged for her. Rider sidestepped awkwardly. "Been a while since I been in a brawl worth my time," she explained. "So ye'd best make this un worth rememberin'."[/glow]

Echo rowed her gradually sinking rowboat towards the beautiful White Weewoo. It stood out on the blue water, like a beacon of--
Oh, who was she kidding. She just wanted food.

Zylaa stormed up towards the White Weewoo, dragging a baffled policeman behind her. "There!" she shouted, pointing at the Weewoo. "They're commandeering the ship!" "Hrm," said the chia, peering at the ship. "Seems like a bit of, ah, piratical high spirits." "They're swordfighting," Zylaa said witheringly. "High spirits has nothing to do with this- unless of course you're referring to the evils of alcohol spirits, which can lead to many fatalities-" "What's this? A reference to alcohol, and a reference to death? In the same sentence even!" Zylaa just stared at the policeman. Squeals rang out behind her. "Shiny boat!" "Oh blast-" the weasels had swarmed up onto the deck of the weewoo and were following the swordfights with interest, following the flashing blades with their eyes and sometimes their bodies. "Cursing now, are we?" asked the policeman. But Zylaa didn't hear- she was already off running towards her nitwit army. ((By the way, since my character isn't exactly a willing convert, feel free to knock her out and drag her aboard or something.))

It was dark out now, and Tamia wondered how much longer she could remain hidden. A barrel on the foredeck did not provide much cover, and she had been waiting for the guards to change for hours, ever since her desire to see the ship had given way to a desire to be on the ship, and her desire to be on the ship had given way to a desire to talk to the crew, which in turn had led to her speedy realization that this rather harsh-looking guard patrol was not the kind of crew she wanted to ask for a temporary job.
So now she was crouched behind a barrel, waiting for the guards to change and her opportunity for a quick escape over the rail and onto the dock. Her legs were cramped from holding the stance so long, and she was nearly frantic with the desire to get up. At least Oran hadn't needed to remainin hiding; he had been exploring the nooks and crannies of the ship as he pleased, just a stray cat wandering around. Several of the crew had been very upset with the black cat's presence, their eyes bulging in fear as they babbled on about bad luck and witchcraft, in between retching over the side for no apparent reason. Other guards had displayed the same symptoms all afternoon.
At the present, however, a black cat came darting between the legs of a guard in this very act. He leapt over the barrel and came to sit out of sight by the girl.
Bad food, he said skeptically, gazing at the unfortunate guard.
"Find anything?" she asked, careful to keep her voice to a bare whisper.
It is a nice ship, the cat said reluctantly. Ample quarters, impressive galley, plenty of rum in the stores, he added ruefully. Unfortunate that we can't take it.
"Yes," Tamia murmured, and then, with a tearing gust of wind, both she and the barrel were thrown against the rail and into a jumbled pile of other provisions, sending various boxes, trunks and bags crashing down upon her. Then all hell broke loose.

[shadow=purple,left,300]"Count me in!" said Kat, running after everyone else, checking if her staff (which was a wand now) and her cutlass were still safely tucked in her belt. "C'mon, I want to commandeer the ship too!"
She followed Rider, and as the captain climbed up the grappling hook, she was close behind, trying to get a good grip on the rope. Climbing never was really one of my strong points, Kat thought, nearly slipping and clutching onto the rope for dear life.
"There's another one!" A pirate Cybunny peeked down and saw the dangling wench all in purple. He - or she, it was hard to tell - drew a dagger and prepared to cut the rope.
"Don't make me fry you!" Kat warned.
"Aye, jest try it!" called the Cybunny. Judging from the high, extremely annoying perky voice, the pirate was female. "Ya think ya're some kinda mage or somethin'?"
"Actually, I can."
With one hand, Kat reached up and sent a blaze of purple lightning towards the Cybunny. The latter screamed and stepped backward, giving Kat time to race up onto the deck. The mage-wench drew her cutlass and pointed it at her.
"Get out of the way, this ship's ours. Or else I'll make something worse than lightning."[/shadow]

Fenrix sumersaulted onto the boat, her tail smacking a krawk in the stomach. "Ello mates! We'll be relieving you of your ship now. The door is that-a-way. Allow me to show you out." She grabbed another one and tossed him overboard, grinning from ear to ear. She didn't bother to draw any weapons besides her bo staff. Violence, though always fun, was not needed at the moment. "Hey Rider! Who's going to keep these guys -er my bad, and gals from telling the authorities about us?"

Keng, who had formulated a plan as she'd been listening to the conversation of the lassies in the corner, was quick to notice that she did not have much time to stick to it, which meant she would have to be quick about getting her money from her employer, which would noy happen with the bar in the state it currently was. So she went about her work much more hastliy and with more energy than she normaly did.
The job was finished in record time, and after a bit of argueing she managed to get at least a portion of her owed pay, the barman claiming that his pocket was picked and was therefore unable to pay her properly. Though it happened to be true this time, it was unlikely he'd have given her full pay even if it wasn't, so it was a story Keng was reluctant to accept, but was grateful to have gotten anything at all from the prick.
So with her weapons once again secured to her personel, she headed out of the musty tavern and headed for the docks.

"Hey Rider! Who's going to keep these guys -er my bad, and gals from telling the authorities about us?" [glow=red,2,300]"The fact that this is Neopia, and the nonexistant Chia Police are too busy catching the Neopians poor schmooks like her." She jerkked her thumb in the white weasel's direction. Pity about that girl. She showed potential as a rebel. Too bad she was rebelling against the wrong side. ... Too bad... "Magus Sisters, come!" Rider shouted. Three Meepits of varying heights and weights buzzed over to Rider. She whispered something to them while Ventratta nipped at the Chia's ankles. Within moments, two Chia Police were lying unonscious in an alleyway and one unconscious weasel-girl was being dragged onto the ship. "Well she did ask for it." Rider returned to her distracted opponent, taking him out with the flat of ehr blade as two others closed in on her. A Hissi and a human. Rider smiled. This would be fun.[/glow]

Ikkin decided as she saw her fellow pirates dueling with the soldiers that anyone who would have left the ship had done so already (and there appeared to be a bunch of them, most of whom appeared to be more than a bit green at the gills), so her abilities would be better used in the fight than blasting away at the mast. The poor mast needed a rest anyway.
She leapt down from her place high above the ship, turning in a full circle to create a whirlwind that blasted two of the closest soldiers away. One of them, a green Kougra, fell right off the ship; the other one, a red Lupe, hit against the side of the ship. Ikkin turned her attention to some others, blasting a couple of fireballs towards them. She caught a flash of steel out of the corner of her eye and barely managed to avoid the blade of the Lupe, who had managed to regain his feet. He took another swipe at her, and she was forced to jump backwards to avoid it. She felt the side of the ship behind her. This wasn't good...
The Lupe swung again; Ikkin leaped onto the railing and flipped over his head, blasting him with wind as she landed. He flew over the side of the railing she had just been on and off the ship.
She had no time to catch her breath, though, as an armored Elephante came up behind her. He carried a giant hammer. No rest for the wicked, I suppose... She jumped out of the way of his first attack and tried to catch him with a fire kick before he recovered the use of his weapon. It didn't seem to phase him at all. Now how do you deal with a guy like that... She wasn't sure what to do, except to hope that she could avoid those hammer blows until she figured something else out.

As the battle raged between the guards onboard and the attacking pirate crew -- which, Tamia noticed, was curiously small -- the girl had no choice but to come out of hiding, as she would otherwise have been crushed in the flurry of on-deck provisions and equipment that was now careening around. It just so happened that everyone onboard was somewhat preoccupied with their current situations, and she was able to blend into the crowd quite easily.
Fleeing did not seem like a good option at the time. Pirates brandished their weapons threateningly as they poured onto (and off) the ship, and she did not fancy her chances getting through them. Instead, struck by a sudden notion, she joined the fray and began firing off regular shots from her slingshot, to rain down upon the heads of the guards, who yelped and covered their heads in confusion.
What are you doing? Oran yowled, leaping around desperately to avoid being trampled. Are you crazy or just stupid?
"You said it yourself," Tamia replied, ducking a blow. She didn't bother lowering her voice; the noise created by a couple of mages alone was enough to mask her conversation. "She's a nice ship. I'm fightin' for her."
