[glow=red,2,300]"Thank ye, Kat," Rider said. "Chartin' a course for Brightvale! Hold onto yer hats!"
The ship docked at Brightvale. Rider stuck her head belowdeck. "Hey you! Weasel! How you comin' along?"[/glow]

[shadow=purple,left,300]Hearing Rider, Kat looked up from where she had tied up the now-clueless-looking guards with her magical purple rope.
"All RIGHT!" she cried out, pumping her fist in the air. "So...where d'you want these chumps stored? Or, we can let 'em out into Brightvale after a while - when the rope wipes their memories nice and clean. Then we can go find my cousin."[/shadow]

[glow=red,2,300]"Aye, we release them when their memories are wiped. 'bout how long will that take?"
She turned to the rest of the crew. "Feel free ter wander. If I find any of ye've been causin' trouble, ye'll be fed ter the Meepits. Kat, if ye'd like ter take Ikkin ter see yer cousin now, that'd be good too."[/glow]

"Oh, I'm coming along just great, if we overlook the fact that I have no clue where I am or why I'm here," Zylaa snapped.

[shadow=purple,left,300]"Fifteen minutes, at the least," said Kat. "If we leave it on too long they might forget who they are, or even worse, how to breathe." She shrugged. "And yeah, where's Ikkin? We've got a Luke to see."[/shadow]

"I'm right here," Ikkin said, appearing besides Kat. "So, how much is this sword going to set me back? And, actually... how am I going to set the money? Or does Captain here think I'm worth enough as a fighter to buy it for me?"

[shadow=purple,left,300]"Ask Luke those questions, not me," said Kat. "But maybe since you're an acquaintance of mine, and I'm his cousin...perhaps I can talk him into a discount. First, let me just tell him we're already here."
She zapped up a quill and a roll of parchment once again and started writing.
Luke,
Where the heck are you? We're at Brightvale Harbor, covered in moss, mold and seaweed. Brightvale's a mighty big place, and we don't have the time to search all over it for one stinky weaponsmith like you.
Yes, you're always stinky. Go take a bath first before we see you.
Kat
"You. Send this over to my cousin. He's at Amber's house. Got it?" said Kat to a Devilpuss that just appeared out of nowhere. After shielding the letter with a shroud of purple magic, the Devilpuss took the roll into its toothy mouth and flew off.
"Oh yeah, did I mention I keep a Devilpuss army around with me?"[/shadow]

She turned to Zylaa. "Yer here 'cause it were this or the slammer. Here bein' the White Weewoo, our new vessel."[/glow]

Zylaa tilted her head to the side. "It reeks," she said under her breath. "Um... thank you, then?" Oh yay! Prison or pirates! Well... everyone knows pirates are hot, Zylaa thought, If you ignore their drunken stupors, general lack of morals, and manage to get in with a crew that has at least one male on board. Of all the pirate crews in all Neopia I had to run in with this one.
"I guess I'll wander around Brightvale, then," Zylaa said to Rider. "Can I get some of the extra money?" She wouldn't be wandering around this ship without some kind of defense.

"Thanks." The weasel moved out, wondering where to pick up some good food. (('bout how much money are those few coins worth?))

Keng in the meantime had found herself with yet another mop in her hands and a bucket of water at her side. She guessed this was consequences of being a stow away. When she left the shop she hadn't thought she'd doing daily cleaning anymore. Figures. Things just refused to go her way this past while.
It had been a long trip to Brightvale and Keng had been left to do menial tasks everyday. She hopped if they'd be staying there for any length of time she'd be permitted to get some ground time. It wasn't that she minded the sea that much, she just preffered solid ground.

The cat watched with keen eyes.
The soul inside the cat watched with glee.
Finally a ship. A pirate ship. It was a miracle. She had spent two months on this god forsaken island with little ways of earning meals. It was a living Hell.
The cat watched as some of the members exited the ship, beginning to wander out onto the worthless little land. She didn't know why people were attracted to it so much. It wasn't as if King Hagan was wise. He was just book-smart. Normally wise people have lots of common sense and have failed many times in life. King Hagan didn't fit that description.
Now to only earn her position on the ship. But before that. She had to become part of the crew. Actually getting on the ship was no problem. The cat watched as the weasel finally departed, the only see-able person remaining appeared to be the captain.
I hope she likes cats.
Stealthily, the black cat stood up and darted towards the ship. Her feet making at it with a quick pace. She leaped to the ship, landing on the rim. The captain came into her sight. She limped her way over to her acting helpless, falling pathetically at her feet. If only she would buy it.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Suddenly, in a flurry of dark blue smoke, a Devilpuss materialized on top of Kat's head - a little harder than she would have liked.
"Quit digging your claws into my head," she scolded it, whipping it off her head like a hat and taking the scroll the Devilpuss held in its fanged mouth. As she opened it, lines and symbols started spreading out like some bad parody of the Marauder's Map. Unfortunately, this one didn't move, and its margins were dotted with notes written in splotchy navy ink.
"He sent us a map," said Kat, waving it over her head. "Luke's a secretive fellow, I know, and he loves making fun of me being a pirate and all. So we're on a 'treasure hunt', that is, if you'd call my cousin treasure. I sure don't."[/shadow]
