Hu gave a perplexed look at both Ikkin and Warlock.
"Are you saying it could teleport anywhere? Why the library? Why not somewhere else?" She used a flamed finger to light up some a drawer that she was looking through.

*from the other side of the illusion wall* Who knows Hu? Maybe it wanted us to feel like we had the upper hand... Are you comming or not? *he glances over his shoulder just to be on the safe side, and is not surprised to find that the area behind him is pitch black, no more illusions, just complete nothingness, and that unnerves him and he adds in an urgent tone* It looks like its giving up on that idea, so move it!

Sage had nearly died of fright when Warlock gave him the scare. For this reason he was now keeping quite close to the bookshelf wall, serruptitiously crouching, and moving towards the refuge of his other Manor-mates.
He heard Warlock's voice. "It looks like it's giving up on that idea, so move it!"
"Warlock?" Sage whispered. "Where are you?"
He walked over to the next isle, and he heard Warlock's voice more plainly now, coming from the end of the isle. "Sage? Hurry!" came the voice again.
"Okay, I'm coming!" called out Sage, running down the isle. And then-
Confusion of the mind...
Lying to the senses...
Sage ran straight into a wall.
He looked up and the world spun. His hand had come instinctively in front of his face, and when he took it away, it was stained red. Further investigation showed that his nose was bleeding quite a lot.
He stood up, blinking his eyes to clear them from tears and wiping the scarlet away from his face.
What his eyes were telling him was that the corridoor ahead of him was- well, a corridoor. Suspiciously deviod of walls to run into. But what Sage's memory was telling him was that there was a very solid wall in front of him.
Sage placed a hand in front of him... and the corridoor ahead of him flickered, rippling and going fuzzy.
So. An illusion. Sage grinned. Easy enough to deal with, once you knew about it. He placed both hands on the crackling barrier- his sense of touch told him there was a smooth, strong wall in front of him, though the eyes still lied- -and slammed a wall of crackling lightning energy into the illusion.
It twisted and warped before his eyes, crackling and trying to retain its shape, and then the magic swarming across it overtook it. The illusion disappeared, imploding within itself.
Sage smiled and looked up-
Into a pair of malevolent yellow eyes.

Sage? *he spins, turning his back on the darkness, a frown creasing his forehead.. he dives back through the illusion bookshelf to stand with Ikkin and Hu again* Did you hear something?
*his eyes narrow as he turns and looks around the shelves, his flaming blue eyes penetrating every illusion* Where is sage..?

Ikkin felt the burst of energy as Sage blasted the illusion with lightning. What was that... she thought, surprised by the suddenness of the spell. Realizing that magical attacks could only mean trouble, she ran towards the source of the energy and found Sage staring into a pair of yellow eyes... the same eyes as those of the monster which she had faced earlier.
"Warlock!" she called. "It's over here! I think now is a good time to see whether or not the monster is resistant to your infrablack powers!"
Before the other mage could react, however, the monster leapt at Sage, and Ikkin reacted reflexively, knocking the monster off of its path with a blast of fire. The fire seemed to be more effective than the pressure darts had, but not by much. It regained its footing quickly, glaring at Ikkin with those awful eyes, and tried to stare her down. The kitsune was not one to be easily cowed, however, and stood her ground, drawing her sword to protect herself until backup came. The monster struck again, only to be tossed aside once more by Ikkin's sword, completely unharmed and not before scoring a scratch on the mage's right arm.
Hopefully, someone would be able to take advantage of this creature's weaknesses... and soon.

*He spins and sprints after Ikkin, at last staring up the monster and his jaw drops.. but he isnt stunned for long. He gains distance on the monster in the time it appears to be staring down Ikkin. He cannot help but need to close his eyes a moment, his fists clenching, feeling the pure disruptive energy cracking through his mind, he feels it throb and shift into his hands.. now right behind the monster, his eyes snap open, as do his fists, his eyes flame and a silent snarl forms across his lips.
There is no dramatic flash, nor a squeal of static, instead.. there is complete silence, and everything goes black.. not the absence of light, but the pure, undeniable darkness known only to the blind. It would effect all of them in different ways as the silent explosion strikes the beast with full force and the shockwaves implode back into it. Thankfully the others would not receive the full force of it. The monster however, would find its mind filled with memory erasing flashes of red and black.. the mental equivalent of being roughly slammed head first into a solid brick wall... The monster finds itself temporarily blinded and is forced to shut its eyes. As vision returns, we find the beast violently shaking its head back and forth in a desperate attempt to clear its vision and the severe pain in its mind. It spins and twists, tripping over its own feet and falling to the ground, snarling in utter confusion.. Its resolve a sudden mystery even to it and it looks at ikkin with a completely lost expression.. although it is obviously far from helpless and any moment now, a primitive rage born of confusion, is going to take it over..*
*Warlock, for his part, is on his knees, his eyes tightly closed, his palms are marked with slight burns.. he looks up slowly and gets to his feet.. eyeing the monster warily.. the entire library flickers as the illusion fades and vanishes* Careful.. *he warns in a soft tone*

On the otherside of the library, Hu was searching every inch and crack of any sign of the monster. Before when everyone had been together, Hu had smelt something vague and indistinguishable. Being a ninja, she easily snuck off on her own. She had headed off towards the direction of the smell, but it had quickly disappeared as well as a presence that she didnt detect left. She felt the presence leave, and decided to take a defensive mode. She clutched the dagger under her shirt, ready to attack...
Silence and darkness greeted her eyes as if someone had suddenly blind folded the girl. What was this? This wasn't the monster's doing? Psychic powers? Was it? Luckily, it eventually disappeared. An illusion? What was it? Feeling the strange presence gone, the elementalist ninja dashed to find the others. When she reached them, she found the monster was on one side, looking pained and confused, and the others perhaps conversing a stragety.
"Ikkin! Warlock! I think... I think there's more of them," Hu gasped. The monster was making its way, roughly and perhaps blindedly towards Hu. The asian girl attempted to slash at the monster's legs with her katana, but she missed and rolled over the side.

"More of them?" Ikkin asked, shocked by Hu's sudden appearance. "We haven't even finished off this one yet... Did you see the others, or what?" She desperately hoped that there were no others like this one, because the same trick was unlikely to work twice, and even that wasn't able to fully defeat the monster.
Just then, the confused monster seemed to have had enough. Perhaps it felt cornered by the three mages... but, for whatever reason, it attacked Ikkin, who was not yet prepared for such an assault. Fortunately, it did not seem to have full use of its senses, and missed its mark, leaping over the kitsune's head. Ikkin turned as quickly as she could and blasted it with fire as it attempted a second attack, hoping that it would stop the monster. It did all that and more- the monster screeched as the flames encircled it and was thrown backwards. The air was filled with the scent of burnt lizard. As the flames died down, the monster was revealed to be alive, though it seemed to have suffered a burn to its forelegs and face. It glared at Ikkin, still confused, but reluctant to try to attack again in short order.
Ikkin realized what this meant, and that she had to tell the others. "The monster's imperviousness must have been some kind of magic!" she called. "It lost its protection when its concentration was broken... we can finish it off now!"

We finish this one first.. its current disposition wont last forever. *He sighs with almost relief at the sight of the monsters burns.. He presses his fits together, side to side and slowly pulls them appart, a heat-wave like image shimmers between them, solidifying sharply as a sort of staff, he drops one hand away and twists it, it strikes the ground with a hollow, echoing crack and forms as a two meter tall staff of pure negligable energy, anti-energy*
Do you want it alive Ikkin.. youve been chasing it for too long to not get the chance to find out what it is... *He looks up at her and holds his hand outwards to the monster, the other hand gripping the staff. It rears up and shakes its head feircely again, snarling but again tripping over its feet and crashing to the floor.. its eyes glaze over and it stares at Warlock, as if hypnotised, but its eyes flinch occasionally as if it were being struck with an invisible sword, its flesh twitching from its burns*

"Perhaps it might be best if it were taken alive, yes..." Ikkin said to Warlock. "But, it seems like it might be too dangerous to keep around for long. So, do what you must, and if we get the chance to study it, all the better."
Now that the monster's nearly impenetrable defense was down, Ikkin almost felt bad for it. It was still something that she wouldn't want to be near her guests, though. In one way or another, it had to go.

"We cant let it go, and hurry you guys. I dont want this creature to regain its strength, and who knows how many of them are out there, " Hu exclaimed, while deciding to go completely in her wind element and ruffling some of the kitsune's fur.

*The beast lays twitching, its claws scrabbling at the floor as if it has forgotten how to stand.. its eyes practically watering under Warlock's unblinking glare.. however its tail continues to lash feircely* Alive it is.. its in no condition to conjure an illusion without me knowing.. *warlock himself appears to be shaking now, not necessarilly under strain.. the problem is that when he strikes at someone or something with that form of energy, eventually it can strike back.. bringing with it memories, evils and various other highly emotional flashes. Right now, the beast is glaring right back at warlock, lashing out with all its malice, hatred and feirce emotions, combining them with the harsh feedback from the strike*Either way... *his teeth now gritted* Could someone knock it out or something? ((if not, its going to break free and we'll have to fight it properly ))
