The Mageri immediately responded to the water mage's attack. The Mageri who had made the rocks in an attempt to trap the mages now made a wall to protect the group from the ice shards. Most of the shards were stopped, while a few cut the hairs on the heads of a Mageri or two, one ricocheted off the top of one of their silvery masks. The Lieutenant worked on keeping her wall from having holes punched through it for longer that a fraction of a second. The wall started to form an uneven shape as she tried to prevent any large holes, holes that one could escape through. Then she cast a spell, and the air in the hall soon chilled rapidly, to well below 32˚F. It was even colder toward the walls, especially the ice wall, and frost formed on them.
Omni shivered. A little heat she could stand, but even with her fur coat, she disliked the cold.

Elycien flung an arm over her face, accompanied by an instinctive magical barrier. For several minutes she was almost completely obscured by the debris from the battle between the Mageri and MGA. Suddenly, she let out a sharp cry, suddenly cut off. Blitz stiffened.
The debris cleared, and the Gathow's eyes narrowed suddenly. Skelath stood behind her, one hand over Elycien's mouth and the other focusing an immobility spell at her wrists. He smiled slowly, a bit like a very satisfied cat. "What do you think you are doing, Lieutenant?" he said dryly. "Going against orders, at least... as for the rest of you," he added, looking at the rest of the mages, "I suggest you stop fighting and let us leave peacefully. Our superiors do not care what state the Thirecat arrives in, so long as she is turned in." Even as he spoke, however, Skelath felt a sudden and unexpected twinge of... something. Nervousness? Guilt? He dismissed it easily, keeping his face expressionless through practiced ease, though he was still thankful for the mask.
Blitzkrieg stepped forward slowly. "But how did you get here?" he hissed, the fur along his back bristling.
((haha, and here's Part 1 of my long-planned plot twist. >3 YES there is a reason why Skelath is suddenly with them, it is not a plothole~))

The Lieutenant stood straighter, recognizing her superior. "My orders were to try and scale the wall, which I have done, and to regroup after an hour if I had not succeeded in breaking in, which I have," she said, leaving out the meet up place on purpose. "As for not bothering to fight if possible... The water mage sent ice projectiles hurtling toward us at a deadly speed, which I took to be the first real offense, I simply retaliated in defense. The ice spikes did not get close enough to cause any harm and were only meant as a warning."

Surf shivered as the temperature dropped. "Aly, we could sure use a fire right about no-augh!" She yelped in surprise and started as another Mageri appeared behind Elcie. "Where did you come from?!" she demanded of the Mageri.

MGA glanced in surprise at Subila and Agna. "What happened to you?"
MGA glared at the lieutenant, shaking his head. "And the manor? I doubt you're going to pay the repair bills." Slowly, he flicked his wrist, and bits of incredibly small ice, too small to be seen, began cracking off the ice wall. Carefully, he kept the bits of ice just the right distance away from each other, so that they remained invisible. He levitated them toward Skelath's hands, so that the shape of the bits formed a handcuff, though it remained invisible. It trailed from one hand to another, ready to close in and form the handcuff, as well as pull both of Skelath's hands together. A collar of ice formed around Skelath's neck as well, invisible but there, and ready to close and choke him.
Looking at Skelath, MGA said, "I suggest you don't move. Neither should any of you." He prepared to close the ice particles should any of the Mageri move.
((Basically, I will close the particles if someone moves. Like an automatic move. Feel free to somehow block it, though.))

Subila stared at MGA, who was the first to notice her appearance. "... Agna isn't able to morph into the shadows of this world, so I had to accompany her through the Alternate world..." she looked at her wounds. "... The bruises? Let's just say we encountered my 'fans' along the way..."
Subila gave way for Agna, who was very eager to pounce on a Mageri or two. She let out half of her remaining dark energy in the tigress, restoring her stamina completely. "Try to stall them while I drain their source of dark energy. I'm quite tired..." she requested.

Skelath became quite still, though his voice still held an undercurrent of slight amusement. "Then I suppose we are at a stalemate, because I have no intention of letting the Thirecat go. If you make one move, I could kill her instantly." Inwardly, he was worried. Some of these mages seemed reluctant to kill, but not the ice mage. And his trump card was useless here... if he was forced into using it to survive, he would gain nothing else.
Elycien's ears twitched. For some reason, his voice sounded all too familiar, and she wondered where she'd heard it before. She hadn't been with the group that met him at the front door...

Subila looked at Skelath as he held Elycien in place, trying to scare the mages into surrendering her. She stood up slowly and stared at Skelath.
"Correction: WE have the advantage. Not only are you outnumbered, but I am slowly seeping part of your energy away. I can tell the mages to hold you in place while I prepare to trap you in one of my shadow cages..."
Subila glanced at Agna and pointed at Skelath, the tigress knowing what to do. She exploded into a small black fog, covering the area. "The mages may be scared of you, but I'm not. I'm the only mage here that can take you all on", she boasted.

((...I'm only reluctant to kill if it's for a reason don't support, which isn't in this case. xD)) MGA raised his eyebrow at Subila, but said nothing. Instead he sent a telepathic message to Subila. Subila. I have a handcuff and collar around that guy who's holding Elycien. They're made of tiny, invisible pieces of ice. Could you cast a spell so that the collar or cuffs would negate magic when put on a mage?

Subila sent out a telepathic message of her own, even containing a bit of dark energy to give MGA. No, but I can inhibit the whole Mageri from using spells provided they don't go too far.
A very small area of Agna's fog started to accumulate on Skelath, forming an invisible ward that inhibits the persons inside its area from casting any spells.

Thanks, MGA sent the message. Then, he smirked and turned to Skelath. He clenched his fist... And the ice shot together, ripping Skelath's hand from Elycien's mouth and back and snapping them together. The collar also appeared and formed, tightening only slightly around Skelath's neck, making it harder but not impossible for him to breathe.

Elycien fell forward, and Blitz bounded up to her. Skelath hissed angrily. "Blast you...!"
He had to think quickly, or he could lose everything... but getting away alive was, of course, his priority.
And to think everything had been going well. Curse it, if only she hadn't shown up... the idea of Lieutenant Sarien getting the credit for this had pushed him into acting too soon.
He could use his last resort to escape. But then he'd have to kill her, and the rest of her squad... silence them... or at least erase their memories. Questions could be asked, but...
The dark mage was right. He had to admit they had the advantage. The only way to get out of this would be to act docile... for now. But he would run at the first sign of trouble; he didn't trust Sarien at all. He was sure the lieutenant would not hesitate to snatch the Thirecat anyway, even if it meant he would be killed.

Lieutenant Sarien was surprised when her commanding officer was suddenly bound by ice. No doubt it was the work of the water mage, whom she was surprised wasn't frozen solid yet.
"How did you get here, Sir?" she inquired, gradually making the room even colder, also making hand signals behind the rock.

MGA frowned as the temperature began to decrease rapidly. Is she trying to freeze me? He wondered. He could, after all, switch between states himself, and that included freezing himself. he paused. Being frozen would give him a disadvantage, though... Decided, he pulled more tiny bits of ice from the wall, to small to be seen, and made them fly straight into the Lieutenant's eyes, accumulating so that they could be felt, hoping to force her into breaking her hold on the spell.

Subila noticed the room getting cooler and the water mage getting more uncomfortable that way. Eventually realizing the situation MGA was in, Subila waved her hand towards Agna. The fog began to give off heat, trying to maintain the room's temperature.
"This coldness I sense..." Subila breathed out. "... is made by someone else."
