A tall wizard emerged. It was obvious that he was one of the Bathul-gun. He glanced around, tooking for Lyria and the others. "Where are those creatures?" he said to himself. "Without them, the Bathul-gun will not be able to test their new magic!" Lyria had a very sharp sense of hearing and heard every single word that the wizard said.

Riani, with her Tijan-trained ears and the help of the trees, had also caught every word. It was worrisome. Whenever the Bathul-Gun found a 'new' magic to toy with, it was usually only a matter of time before something was totally destroyed or eliminated.

Ayoshi scampered to the top of a tall tree, and looked out upon the bathul-gun, frowning, as she could also hear their words ((we all have pretty good ears, eh? )). She leapt back down to the ground and whispered, "they are coming this way, I think they know where we are! There are still too many of them for a direct attack, so we need some sort of plan... and fast! And remember, they have powerful magic, so not everything will hold them."

((Hooray for good ears!! XD)) Riani began to think, rather desperatly. 'We could all climb trees, and I could ask the trees to hide us... but would that fool them? I don't think Tijanese magic is near as strong as the magic of the Bathul-Gun, much as I hate to admit it.'

Ayoshi bit her lip, looking nervously to the bushes where the bauthul-gun could be heard coming towards them quickly. "We don't have time to thinkup a better plan," she whispered, "quick, do as Riani said for now!" She quickly scampered up a tree.

Kira nodded and went up a tree too.

Riani climbed a tree quickly, and quietly asked the trees to help and protect them from the Bathul-Gun, just for this short time, and she would pay them back. The trees agreed, and began to do their work.

Lyria climbed up a tree as fast as possible to hide from the Bathul-gun.

The trees hid them just in time, as the bathul-gun stormed loudly through the bushes and into the clearing. The leader sniffed the air and hissed, "they are still here! Hurry, go find them!" The others immediately did as he said, and began searching the clearing. Ayoshi held her breath, watching a few of them stop under the tree she was in. Silently, she pulled her spare knife out from the thin sheath on her arm, and flung it down at one of the bauthl-gun. He fell to the ground with a cry.

Riani gasped. The Bathul-gun would know they were here now. Or would they? She put a hand on the hilt of her sword.

A member of the Bathul-gun heard rusting in the trees. He stomped over to the spot where Lyria and the others hid. Before any of them could run away, he scooped all four of them in his immense palm an walked away.

((wow, are the bathul-gun that big? I sorta imagined them as ordinary-sized people, but okay. Can we just pretend that most of them are normal-sized, but some are giant?))
Ayoshi tried to reach her dagger, but her hands were pinned to her sides by the bathul-guns strong magic. She twisted around, trying to break free.

The Bathul-gun carried all four friends to a castle set on the peak of the highest mountain visible. He opened his palm, but before anyone could get out, he threw them in a cage. On the other side of the room they were in, another wizard of the Bathul-gun shouted, "Bring in experiment #1483646378!"
Yet another Bathul-gun member walked in carrying a silver cage with a frightened male fairy in it. He cast a spell on it, and it died instantly. Lyria shuddered.

The bathul-gun that had brought them in stood up and smirked evilly at them. A much smaller- human-sized (but still very tall) bathul-gun came over and peered at them through the bars. Then he smiled evilly. "Yes, I do believe they wil come in handy in the plan.... good work!" The giant bathul-gun grunted and the two left, so the group of four were alone. Ayoshi looked around to make sure that none of the other bathul-gun were watching, and sat down with a heaved sigh. "Well..... we have to get out of here," she said, looking around at her friends.
