Kira stayed silent, almost not breathing. The creature didn't seem to have noticed her; she could try to attack it from above, while it was off-guard.

Noticing that it had caught Lira, Ayoshi streaked back across the ground and crouched beside Kira, watching the creature. Then, she muttered to Kira, "same plan. I'll distract it, and when it comes after me, get it." She took off again, running circles around the creatures legs while it swatted at her and roared.

Kira nodded. She concentrated and a bow and arrow appeared in her hands. She aimed the arrow at the creature and the arrowhead started glowing green. She shot it and it hit the creature in the head. It immediately fell to the ground. "We should get out of here quick, it should wake up soon." she said, jumping down.

The hands of the creature moved closer and closer to its mouth. Lyria knew she would be eaten. She screamed for help, but she knew that the others were doing their best.

Ayoshi nodded and helped Lira stand up. "I know of a small hut nearby where we can rest. The owner is a friend of mine."

"Thanks." Kira said to Ayoshi. "We better get on our way. My powers don't last long against big lizard dragon...things..." she said looking at the creature.

Lyria smiled at Kira. "Thank you for rescuing me," she said. "Now, we'd better get on our way. Ayoshi can show me the way."

Ayoshi nodded and started to walk off into the woods. "There shouldn't be to many monsters to deal with in this part of the forest," she said, "and it's only a short walk."

They stopped at a small hut beside a lake. "This is it," said Ayoshi, stepping forward to knock on the door. "Derthria! Mortin! Are you home?" The door was opened by a middle-age woman wearing leather boots, and a her husband, a tall man smoking a pipe. "Hello Ayoshi," the woman, Derthria, said, "what can I do for you?" "Kira, Lyria, Kyria, this is Derthria and Mortin. Derthria, do you mind if we stay here for the night? I think there's some sort of creature after us." "Sure, make yourselves at home." ((You guys have similar names  )) |
