No offense, but if I was selling VII, I'd auction it off at e-Bay starting at $60, but that would never happen as long as I have a working console that would run it.
As a side note, my IX has a bad disc one >_<, and Matt's copy of VIII is sometimes sluggish on my PSX. I'm thinking that must mean my PS is either getting old(that is, feeling the effects of its age) or else VIII is too awesome for it to handle, XD, because the discs are perfect.
Pristine obsidian discs, literally not a scratch on them. I have never seen PSX discs like that. When Matt said it was a "new" copy, I thought he meant as opposed to his old copy, it was new to him, but no, these discs look like they've never been used.

So, it's time once again for Ikkin's Final Fantasy trade show report - this time, for the Tokyo Game Show. ^_^ - Dissidia: Final FantasyHas finally revealed all of its characters. ^_^ The final lineup is as such: FF: Warrior of Light vs. Garland FFII: Firion/Frioniel vs. Emperor Palamecia FFIII: Onion Knight (alt. costume is Luneth, from III DS) vs. Cloud of Darkness FFIV: Cecil (can transform between Paladin and Dark Knight forms) vs. Golbez FFV: Bartz/Butz vs. Ex-death/Exodus (who does not look like a tree) FFVI: Terra/Tina (blonde hair, not green) vs. Kefka FFVII: Cloud (with VII/KH hair rather than AC/KHII) vs. Sephiroth FFVIII: Squall (alt. costume is SeeD uniform) vs. Ultimecia FFIX: Zidane vs. Kuja FFX: Tidus vs. Jecht There are summons in the game as well, which take the form of stat modifiers while you're fighting, and show up as the 2D art of the summons they represent. They can apparently show up in any form that they took in a Final Fantasy; Carbuncle has been shown in both IX and XI forms. FF Agito XIIIIs much more interesting now that it's a PSP game. Has a much darker style with a trailer that visually references WWII-style newsreels and the Nazis. There's a trailer floating around, but it's the trailer for when the game was still a cellphone game, so it's unclear how representative it still is. FF XIIIFinally named some characters apart from Lightning. The red-headed girl with pigtails is Sera (Latin for night), the big blond (Mr. 33cm) is Snow. The current speculation is that "Snow" might be a codename, like Lightning, since Snow summons the Shiva twins. Two new characters were shown as well, both of which seem to be villains - a woman with glasses and very long blonde hair and a younger man with silver hair in a ponytail. There are some very nice fansketches of these two characters (note that the other characters on the image are Cosmos, the goddess from Dissidia to the left, and Xion, the fourteenth member of Organization XIII to the bottom right). FF Versus XIIIAlso has character names - and this time, full names including middle names. The Prince is Noctis Lucius Caelum, nicknamed Noct, and the blonde girl is Stella Nox Fulure (the last names are speculation from unclear katakana; "Cheram" and "Furure" don't easily transfer over to Latin, and "Caelum" comes from Noct's license plate). Noct is supposed to be quite a different character from what we're used to - he's actually quite shy and internally panics when he's talking to Stella, but tries to feign confidence to hide it (though he can't keep up appearances entirely, and apparently avoids direct eye contact). Stella's personality is less clear, but she talks very politely while still not avoiding asking questions directly. Versus also has the best character models I've ever seen done in realtime - and they appear to actually have separate bodies rather than being modeled with their clothes as part of them. I just wish I could see them in motion. ...and that's about that for that. Images are all from FF-XIII.net and FinalFantasy-XIII.net, which has a very comprehensive set of impressions for each of the FNC trailers.

*spazz attack over Dissidia's list of characters* <333 I don't know half those names, but the ones I DO recognize gives me awesome overload.
The characters will be depicted in the shiny new 3D style, right? *would really like to see the older characters all realistic-like, particularly the FFII ones, seeing as she actually got really far into that game before her save slot got accidentally overwritten*

FFIV: Cecil (can transform between Paladin and Dark Knight forms) vs. Golbez FFV: Bartz/Butz vs. Ex-death/Exodus (who does not look like a tree) FFVI: Terra/Tina (blonde hair, not green) vs. Kefka Cecil - I like the transformation thing. Exdeath - Does he at least look like Neo-Exdeath? Terra - Terra with blond hair? That's like Cloud with Green hair, it's just not right.

American numbering confuses me -_-) FFIV: Cecil (can transform between Paladin and Dark Knight forms) vs. Exdeath is in his first form most of the time, but his Ex-burst special attack appears to be Neo-Exdeath.As for Terra's blonde hair, it's just because that's the way Amano drew her. She might have green hair for her alt. costume, though.

I dunno. It's the FFII that came with Dawn of Souls, or whatever that GBA game was called. And that DOES look like the same Firion from the character sketches from said game, so... I assume we're talking about the same FFII here.

New scans are up from Famitsu, and I have to say... Noct is completely and utterly adorable. <3 He's just so awkward and panicky in the screen where he turns away from Stella, and it's just plain cute. x3 I can see why Nomura said that people who liked the initial impression of him would be all confused when they saw the real Noct, though. xD Also, we finally get to see facial expressions from Lightning besides "serious military stare." XD Though I do have to wonder what would be enough to worry her. The monsters are quite awesome (especially the giant insect-like walker), but fighting didn't seem to rattle her at all from what we saw in the other trailers. For those who don't want to open huge scans, here's a bit of new information - Snow's last name is Villiers, and Stella and Noct's proper last names are Fleuret and Caelum respectively.

*wishes she didn't have to doublepost, but, if anyone still cares...* I waited a bit to put these up, 'cause I wasn't sure if Squenix was going to force them to be taken down, but they seem pretty stable. The trailers from DKSigma have been released for all of the Fabula Nova Crystalis projects. I'm only linking to the FFXIII and Versus ones, though, since there's basically nothing to the Agito one. Final Fantasy XIIIFinal Fantasy Versus XIIIVersus trailer music = so epic. x3 And there's a bit of actual in-game stuff at the end of each.

XD
I've been listening to the chanted chorus of One Winged Angel over and over for some time now, and I sort of accidentally programmed my brain to interpret the words as:
Deathstar! In Berlin! Keep away, let them think! Deathstar! In Berlin! Keep away, let them think! Sephiroth! Sephiroth!
Yeah, that's all I have. >_>

That's like one of the coolest video game songs ever, in my opinion. xDD
Although I don't hear the Deathstar Berlin stuff. xDD

Sephiroth!I guess there's some similarities there, with the vowel sounds or something. XD;

*Butts in for a late reply* To think i haven't been here for almost half a year. I have pretty much almost all final fantasy. Except FFIII cause apprently thats in japanese still or something like that. But out of them all i've only played two plus one spin off. XD Only played FFVII and FFIX. IX is the best one for me anyway.....its epic. Zidane's the man. FFVII was good too....but i dont like Tifa so i tend to think she dosen't excist. XD Well...not really...i just don't find her interesting. Vincent....zomg. Not one of the reason why i purchased Dirge of Ceberus...i just like shooting games....has a nice plot...me likes. I like Advent Children aswell......but sheesh...they must've seen the Matrix before they started it. *Is now Imagening Cloud dodging bullets.* I liked FF Spirits Withen..but i haven't seen that movie in years.... Man i go on! D: I need a PSP for Dissidia and Crisis Core.....seriously.

(May I join?)
I can't play my beloved Final Fantasy Origins because a cable from my PS2 is missing. ='( I was up to the last temple in FF1, too! x0
Still, Final Fantasy III (NDS version) is proving equally fun, if not more. I'm stuck in Goldor's mansion, but I think the Gold Swords are some sort of hint. (Seriously, why would there be so many TCs containing them if they didn't have a use? Unless, of course, Square–Enix added them as red herrings.)

The Gold Swords, for what I can tell, are just ways to give you lots and lots of gil. =P The cover for Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete has finally been released. ^_^ It's apparently got an English voice track (though no English subs), so I'm importing the version with the FFXIII demo. ^_^
