Favorite FF character? Well, I like Yuffie obviously, but I've also always liked Aeris/Aerith. :3
Haven't fangirled any FF characters yet. Well, I guess there's KH1!Cloud, but that doesn't count. >_>

For some reason, I don't like Aerith that much - she oesn't really appeal to me. I can never figure out what the big deal is with her.

Meep. I learned all I know from watching Advent Children. need to rewatch that...when I get a copy of my own. Anyways sign me up. Advent Children, while not bad from what I've seen, is not the best way to learn about FF. For example it completely replaces Barret with Cloud as Marlene's father figure. Of course, since Tifa's sort of Marlene's mother figure already, it'd be kind of hard to portray Barret that way on film without suggesting a relationship between the two, and that would just be weird. What's the subject, favorite character? Hmm... I kinda like Rydia from 4 and Farris from 5(neither in a fanboy sort of way, mind you), but I'd have to say my all time favorite has to be Sephiroth. He's got Darth Vader's love-to-hate-ness ten times over.

Good point, Bacon - if you don't know the story about what occured between the game and the movie, it really does look like Cloud is more of Marlene's dad, when he isn't.

Favorite character - hmm, let's see. Overall, it's hard to say... I love the main group from FF8, though <3 (though it's the game I've played the most, so I suppose that's understandable.) Maybe... hm, my absolute favorite might be either Reno or Rinoa. ^_^

Reno is a pretty awesome Turk - but they all are. (Except Elena - she's kind of a fool.)

From what I've seen of Reno, I like him better in Advent Children than in FFVII. I think it's because, at least according to the Final Fantasy Wiki, Reno's slangy speech patterns weren't translated as well in the game as the movie.

... Unless you watch the Japanese version, his speech patterns weren't translated that well in the movie. They completely missed the "yo" motto he adds to the end of the majority of his sentences. Although, you can actually hear that he talks in a slow sort of way in the movie.

I think it's because, at least according to the Final Fantasy Wiki, Reno's slangy speech patterns weren't translated as well in the game as the movie. Reno barely had any personality at all in the game, from what I saw. XD; When I saw his crazy/weird/slangy/whatever-you-call-it personality in the movie, I was a bit confused, really. Because he didn't come across as crazy or weird to me at all in the game. *shrug* Though maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention, I dunno. >_> I should play FFVII again one of these days... it's really been a while.

I wanan play FFVII a lot but I can't seem to get my hands on a copy D= Yep, that certainly seems to be an issue for a lot of us. I got a copy from the library. And then played it all the way through. Fun game, even with the weird graphics. Better than FFVIII, in my opinion. Though that might just be because I didn't get very far in FF8 before getting annoyed.

How'd I miss this? xD Sign me up as "Limited Edition Zack Fan: #1337 of 109,348." Or something. *can't seem to come up with something not-lame* I have IX, X, X-2, XII, III DS, and Crisis Core. Never played FFVII due to being unable to find a copy (which seems to be an annoyingly common issue), but I've watched Advent Children (plan to buy it when they finally release the Advent Children Complete Blue-ray - I have no idea what's taken them so long to stick a movie onto a disk -_-) and Last Order, and read up on the plot online. I've also seen The Spirits Within. ...and I'm waiting for the FFVII remake like everyone else. XD Speaking of which... It's been so long since the rumor of a better, graphically, FF VII game though, that I don't see it coming out. I'm playing the game now, and I'm in complete awe that these horrid horrid graphics were once considered amazing. No one is ever going to let the idea of a FFVII remake drop, really. xD Squenix's current stance on it, though, is "we don't actually have the guys we need to make it," which makes enough sense that it kills most of the rumors. They'll probably explode again once FFXIII and the new KH games are released and they free up some of the people who were the most influential with the original. To quote Yoshinori Kitase (who's one of said influential people): Which sounds rather much like, "We'll get around to it eventually, we're just not sure when" to me.

I wanan play FFVII a lot but I can't seem to get my hands on a copy D= Yep, that certainly seems to be an issue for a lot of us. I have one, but the second disc is defective. I went to look it up online, to purchase one, and people are asking $70+ for a used copy! New video games are only $60! And those are the highly rated games too. >.> I'm glad I got one when I did. (I managed to borrow a copy of the second disc from someone else.)
