I'm so cruel. And then they heard the front door next to them fling and crash open. Both their hearts stopped for more than a second, and then they heard a scream, a thud, and a voice saying, “Son of a lady dog!” Sammy screamed at the sudden arrivals. She and Luke sat straight up, with him wrapping his body around her to conceal her underwear clad body. Once they were sitting up, they saw who had arrived at their door, although Sammy already knew by the fashion that the door had opened by. Rider was standing in the doorway, her hands covering her eyes and her face scrunched up in disgust. “Did not need to see that!” she was yelling. “Then stop bursting my door open!” Sammy retaliated. “You deserved that, you know.” “I didn’t…” a weak voice squeaked. Sammy looked over the edge of the couch and noticed that Rider had someone with her when the door had opened. And there was Kat, lying on the floor, her hands over her eyes. Sammy tried not to laugh; as if it was bad that her mother had walked in on them, but her husband’s cousin? Mortifying. “We need to tell Sammy something about her pregnancy,” Rider said, sounding urgent. “What’s the matter?” Sammy asked. Her attention had been caught, and she was a bit alarmed. “It’s nothing bad,” Kat muttered. She was still on the floor, but she must’ve heard the worry in Sammy’s voice. Sammy looked to her mother to continue. “You know how pregnancy usually lasts about nine months?” Rider asked. Sammy nodded. “Well, me and Kat just found something out… Because you’re a magical being, your pregnancy is only going to last… Nine weeks.” “What?!” Sammy yelled. “How is that possible?” “The magical energy in your body,” Kat started while trying to stand up, “is speeding up the process. But it’s not going to have any negative effects on the baby. It’ll be like a normal, nine-month-long pregnancy, except sped up.” “Is that why I found out so quickly?” Sammy asked. Rider and Kat both nodded. “Wow… So each week is going to be like a whole month… That’s weird.” “But,” Rider said, “like Kat stated, nothing bad’s going to happen…” Hehehe. “No, just shut up!” Sammy snarled. “You truth-slanting, trust-wrecking waste of gravity!” She finally punched him across the arm, got up, and stormed to her bedroom. Only seconds later came the echoing sound of the door being slammed. “Maybe I phrased that the wrong way,” Luke muttered. Tears welled up in eyes. Rider put a hand on his shoulder. “Naah, don’t worry. That’s just the pregnancy talking. Now, where’s the rum?" Too lazy to go back and see who suggested the insult to me, but thanks! And then she would see a girl come in. Out of no where, a girl would appear. The girl looked about her age and height. She had frazzled, rose-pink hair that flowed down to her ankles. Her ears were pointy and long; about the length of her arm, which was a bit surprising. Her body was draped in a very familiar dress; it was a navy blue cloth that covered her entire body, except the chest area, which showed off a bit of cleavage. At the hem of the dress danced a fire pattern, which shone bright orange with yellow detailing. The entire dress looked beautiful, except for for the sleeves. Because they were so long, it looked like the girl’s hands had been replaced by the ripped sleeves. However, in their own way, the sleeves were also beautiful; the rips in the cloth burned flamboyantly, like the roaring blaze of a fire. Her entire essence was mesmerizing, until one looked at her face. The girl’s face was the least glamorous of her appearance. Part of eyes were hidden behind knotted bangs, but one could still clearly see the revolting scar that bolted downwards from the corner of her left eye, curving across her cheek. Her eyelashes were covered in a thick substance, black mascara perhaps, that looked unappealing just because there was so much. And her eyes, oh, her eyes! The irises of them were also navy blue, such that matched the color of her dress. It seemed, however that her pupils were naturally shrunken. Like the little Sharpie dots, they clashed in a menacing way against her calm eyes, and brought out the insanity that coursed through her body. Hmmmm... Who is this mysterious girl in Sammy's dreams, and what does she want?

YAY MOAR EXCERPTS. With that, Sammy walked back down the hall, out the front door, and down the street that led to the Mod Squad Headquarters. The Headquarters was located in a dark alleyway somewhere Downtown, but everyone (except for the new arrivals), knew where it was. However, once the secret had been revealed, Lady Jade put a hex on the alleyway to only allow Mods and Admens in. Eventually she allowed regular Enteedubelyueffers in, but only if they were summoned to speak before the Mods, Admens, and Lady Jade herself. Sammy walked down the starlit street, keeping an eye out for the alleyway. Eventually she reached the street before the Main Square and saw Mindela leaning against the building that was one side of the alleyway that led to the Headquarters. She ran over and greeted Mindela. “Follow me,” Mindela said to Sammy. She nodded in approval, and the two walked down the alleyway. When the people inside the Headquarters saw Mindela and Sammy, they opened up the door and the two walked right in. Sammy was surprised to see all the Staff Enteedubelyueffers sitting around the oval table; there was Ikkin, Stal, Wanderer, Nimras, Tdyans, Crystal, Tracy, Dan, Fjord, Hunty, Spot, Killix, Chesh, Leoness, and, to Sammy’s shock, Rider. Sammy nearly ran over to hug her mother, but when she saw the grim looks on everyone’s faces. “Sammy Cysso,” she heard Lady Jade’s voice say. “Please sit.” Sammy looked at the head of the table and saw a chair for her. Across the table was Lady Jade. Her face was grim, too. So Sammy did what she was told and looked directly at Lady Jade. “What’s the matter?” Sammy asked. “It’s about Bag,” Rider said. “It’s been more than a month since his disappearance,” Tracy added. “We think he’s dead,” Dan finished. Sammy brought her hands to her mouth and shook her head in disbelief. “No,” she gasped. “No, he can’t be!” Pat Jade shook her head. “We’ve searched all over, Sammy,” she said. “I’ve even sent some Admens to other Foruyms to search for him.” “We’ve contacted everyone on Intarwepia,” Crystal added. “But no one’s seen him,” Stal interrupted. “We’re sorry to tell you this, Sammy, but there’s no other explanation.” “He’s dead,” Leoness said, her eyes showing her compassion for the situation. “No,” Sammy growled. She stood up from her seat, sending the chair flying backwards. “No!” she yelled. “No, you’re wrong! You’re all wrong! He’s not dead. He can’t be dead. I’m still dreaming about him.” “It’s just your subconscious,” Nimras replied. “No!” Sammy denied. “It’s not my subconscious. It’s not anything like that! Look, before Luke returned, I had dreams about him, too. And he’s not dead, now is he?!” The room fell silent. Sammy’s eyes were wild in rage. “Bag is no where near from dead… But he needs help…” She tried to calm herself down, but nothing worked. She was still furious that the Admens and Mods would say such a thing to her. “Nightmare…” Sammy muttered. Her eyes narrowed once again, even farther and even more in rage. “Nightmare!” she screamed. “That ****ing lady dog!” Some of the Staff gasped at Sammy’s choice of language. But Sammy didn’t care. She went off with her ranting. “Luke may have denied seeing him, but she took him! I know it; Nightmare was the one who kidnapped him. Now she’s taunting me with these God darned images of that…that lady dog raping my husband!” “Sammy,” Fjord said, “what are you talking about?” “I understand her,” Rider said. Everyone looked at her in confusion. “She’s told me of these dreams… And I thought they were just her subconscious, too. But, no. It’s much worse than that.” She arose from her seat. “I don’t know who this Nightmare lady is,” she began while starting over for Sammy, “but I understand Sammy. For some reason, this lady has chosen to communicate with Sammy. I don’t know why Sammy, but this is what’s going on. This Nightmare lady might be a threat to our Foruym. She probably is a threat to our Foruym.” Rider finally reached her daughter, putting her hand on Sammy’s shoulder. “I trust Sammy. Not because she’s my daughter, but because of who she is. Sammy is not making any of this up. She’s telling the truth. And I believe her. These dreams are not dreams; they’re messages. At first, I got them, too. And they may be related to each other, but for now, we don’t know. All we do know is that this Nightmare lady needs our attention, and she wants us to come to her.” Sammy’s eyes widened in revelation, suddenly remembering something crucial. “We’re the True Ones,” she muttered. She grabbed Rider by the collar of her shirt and pulled her close. “Rider, we’re the True Ones! You, me, and Ery! That’s why we’ve had these dreams. Nightmare needs us to take over the world…” “What?” Rider asked. “But… Ery hasn’t gotten any of these dreams…” “No,” Sammy said, letting go, “he’s never told us if he’s had those dreams. But, no. Nightmare’s playing games with us…” She fell to the ground, clutching her head. “And now she’s set a trap. She has Bag. She knows how much I love him, and that I’ll do anything to save him… But by going to rescue him, she can finally complete the missing link. Bring us together with Anxo, Guinevere, and Evangeline… And she can finally have the power over the Alternates…” “Sammy,” Lady Jade said, “it seems that you know a lot about this subject.” Sammy nodded. “Well, I have my suspicions about this Nightmare, but I cannot jump to conclusions. The only thing we can do right now is save Bag.” “Wait, you believe her?” Crystal said. “Lady Jade, I know both my sister and my mother well, and they are not the most truthful of people!” Lady Jade shook her head. “I can see it on Sammy’s face. This is not a nightmare. This is reality.” Lady Jade arose and walked over to Sammy. “I’d hate to say this, dear Sammy, but… I fear there is nothing we can do to stop this… I fear Bag is doomed, for if you try to rescue him, you may be captured.” “But, Bag…” Sammy muttered, still on the floor. Her eyes narrowed. “Oh, **** it all!” She sprang up and stormed out the door. Rider ran after her. “Sammy, what are you doing?” she cried. “No matter what,” Sammy said, “I’ll protect him. That lady dog is raping him and torturing me… And I cannot allow that to happen.” “But we can’t do anything about it!” Rider said. “No, we cannot do anything without risking everything. But no matter what, I’ll save him. Even though we may be caught, there is nothing worse than letting my husband be taken advantage of, especially when I know it’s happening.” “Sammy!” “What?!” Sammy yelled to her mother, stopping suddenly and turning around. “I don’t care if I’m risking my life. I don’t care if I’m risking the fate of the world. I don’t care! I’m going to save Bag, no matter what, and nothing you can say will stop me!” Rider shook her head, smirking. She unsheathed her cutlass. “Hell no I’m not going to stop you!” she cried. “I was going to say that you ain’t going nowhere without me!” And in the darkness of the moment, Sammy could not help but slightly smile at her mother’s dedication. “Thanks,” Sammy said. “I don’t know what I would do without you, mom.” “Hey, turn around!” Rider said, still smirking. Sammy did so, and her eyes lit up. She saw Luke, running towards her, with Ery by his side. “What are you guys doing on the streets so early in the morning?” “I noticed Sammy was out for quite some time,” Luke said once they had approached enough to speak without yelling, “so I decided to come down and see what was taking so long…” “And I live right over there,” Ery replied, pointing to a house across the street. “I’ve been awake for some time now, but I heard Sammy’s yelling, so I came outside to see if everything’s okay.” “What’s going on?” Luke asked, embracing Sammy in a hug. “Nightmare’s definitely kidnapped Bag,” Sammy replied, “and we’re going to rescue him.” “No,” Luke said, pulling away from Sammy. “No, you can’t. You’ll surely get captured, and then Nightmare will be able to unlock the ultimate power!” “What?” Ery spoke. “I am so confused right now…” “Basically,” Rider started, “you, me, and Sammich here are part of some kind of shiny prophecy or something. We’re some True Ones… And we’re needed for this Nightmare crazy lady to unlock ultimate power over these things called Alternates.” Ery gave her a look. “Okay, long story short, I’m just as confused as you are.” “But you’re always confused,” Ery said. Rider stuck her tongue out at him. “You told her?” Luke asked Sammy. “I told you not to!” “What am I supposed to do, Luke?” Sammy yelled. “We’re in a crisis right now, and you think I’m going to keep secrets? Well, no! You’re wrong! They deserve to know everything. I don’t like keeping secrets from the people I love.” Ery gave her a look. “Platonically,” Sammy said to Ery, who nodded in approval. Sammy directed her attention back to Luke. “Besides, if you’re so ****ing concerned with your stupid plan going accordingly, then you should be excited that I’m going to confront Nightmare!” Luke said nothing, but tears welled up in his eyes. “I don’t want to lose you, Sammy,” he whispered. “I love you so much… I don’t want to lose you…” “If you love me,” Sammy said with softened eyes, “then you’ll let me go and do this.” “No,” Luke said. Sammy eyed him. “No, I can’t let you go alone. I’m coming with you.” Sammy smiled weakly and gave a snort of laughter. “The more the merrier,” she muttered. “But I’m glad you understand.” “Just promise me you won’t do too much ass-kicking,” Luke said with a kiss on her lips. “Remember that you’re still in a delicate condition.” Sammy nodded. “Alright,” she agreed. “So how are we going to get to Kirby’s Dream Land?” Rider asked. “You mean Nightmare?” Ery laughed. “That too.” Sammy thought for a moment. “Well…” An idea hit her, and she yelled out to the skies. “Hey, lady dog-face!” she yelled. Ery held in a laugh. “You want us so badly? Why don’t you let us in?! And don’t give me that ‘not by the hair of your chinny-chin, ****ing chin,’ crap.” Ery couldn’t help himself; he burst into laughter. But Sammy’s method worked. All of a sudden, a rip appeared in the air before them, showing a vortex that resembled the night-sky, just like Nightmare’s scarf. Sammy smirked in triumph. “The nightmare has certainly ****ing begun,” she scoffed before stepping through the portal and into Nightmare’s world. You will always know when Sammy's ticked off. XD A little game of cat and mouse. The other side of the portal led the four to the streets of Nightmare’s world. Sammy was amazed at first that the world looked so much like a normal town, like Enteedubelyueff. But when she looked twice, she noticed that it was no where near the same. The buildings were black and covered in purple ivy and big, nasty thorns. The street lamps were burning with fire, but no illumination came off of them. The road and sidewalks were completely deserted, and, amazingly, somewhat clean. Somewhat, meaning that there was no litter, but one could still see clearly that the sidewalks had not been cleaned for a long time. The atmosphere just breathed gloom and doom, but that still did not shake Sammy. She was still determined… She just had no idea where to go. “I wonder if anyone lives in these houses,” Rider muttered, looking at her surroundings. “The windows are all bordered up, but the doors look like they’re open. Maybe we should go knock on one?” “I dunno,” Ery said. “This place doesn’t seem very friendly… I’d hate to see what the neighbors are like.” He pulled out a gun from his pocket. Rider eyed his gun. “Since when did you use those?” “Magic isn’t working for me, anymore,” Ery said, not looking at Rider. “Guns are a lot more useful.” Rider shrugged. “Eh, whatever floats your boat.” “Look there!” Luke cried. He pointed down the distant street, where a figure had appeared. “What is that?” “Looks like a person from here,” Sammy murmured. She held her hands out in a ready position in front of her; immediately they began to glow with the magical energy. “Be on your guard,” she ordered. Rider nodded and readied her cutlass. Luke also ignited his magic. The figure was approaching them. As it drew closer, it was easier to see the outline of it. “The hell…?” Rider muttered. “What?” Ery asked in a half-whisper. “Is it just me,” Rider began, “or does that look like me?” Sammy focused on the figure more, and her eyes widened. “You’re right!” she cried. The figure in the distant was wearing a red, flowing cape, a white t-shirt, and jeans, and was carrying a cutlass. The face, however, was still shadowed. “You there!” Sammy yelled. “Who are you and why do you look like Rider?” “Rider?” the voice hissed in a tone that sounded like nails on a chalkboard. “I don’t know this Rider person…” “Coincidence?” Luke whispered to Sammy. But Sammy shook her head. “What do you want?” The figure said nothing but continued to walk towards the four. The shadow came off of the figure’s face, and revealed a horror. Its face was mutilated with scars and its hair was black, but burned like a flame… The eyes were like those Sammy had seen on the girl in her dream, which sent a shiver up her spine. The figure’s fingernails were long, cracked, and bloody, clasped around her rusted cutlass. The four the watched in horror as bat wings sprouted from the figure’s back and brought her up into the air. “Still think I’m Rider?!” the monster screeched, her voice now like a banshee’s. Ery took no hesitation to raise his gun and shoot at the monster. To his shock, the bullet went right through the monster’s left arm, but neither blood nor pain came from the wound. “Good Lord!” Ery yelled. “Run like hell!” He turned around and started sprinting away, followed shortly by Rider and Luke. Sammy stood her place, staring at the monster. She did not want to run. They eventually reached a room that Sammy guessed was the bedroom. Several books of varied sizes scattered the stained, wooden floor. Another broken chair lurked in the shadowy corner, and the bed looked like it was made out of stone. Sammy’s eyes looked up and saw two figures sitting on the bed. One she could distinctly tell was Rider, but she didn’t know who the other girl was. The girl, Sammy noticed, looked only a few years young than her. She had long, matted, dusty light-brown colored hair that was held off in two ponytails, winding into a snake coil when the tips met the bed. Sammy couldn’t see the girl’s eyes very clearly, but she could tell that they were big and beautiful. The girl wore a ripped and ragged dress, as if it was the only article of clothing that she had. The girl looked up at Sammy. “Oh, you two must be Sammy and Luke… I’m Margaret, but I prefer to be called Maggie.” Sammy nodded and held out her hand. “Nice to meet you,” she said. But Maggie stared at the hand in wonder. “You…shake it. Like, as a greeting.” Maggie shrugged. “I still don’t understand,” she said, so Sammy dropped her hand to her side. “Are you okay? Lady Nightmare must’ve had her Day Dreams on patrol again…”

As soon as the doors opened, Sammy gasped. The room that Luke had described to her was revealed, and it was exactly as he had told it to be. She looked farther down the room and saw the throne. Covered in thorns… Made of a black material (which looked a lot like marble)… And sitting upon it was – “Well…well…well… What do we have here?” It was her. The witch that invaded Sammy’s dreams… That took both of her husbands… That was making everyone’s life a living hell. The lady that dressed in the purple corset, with the lavender feathers protruding off the back hem of the skimpy article of clothing. The lady that wore thigh-high fishnet stockings down her legs and had her feet concealed by big, black boots. Her black hair, tied up off her shoulders… Her eyes, grey and piercing into one’s soul… And the scarf… The scarf that was adorned with the night sky. Now that Sammy was finally able to see it in person, she was amazed to see that the scarf looked like it was really cut from the night sky. But she was more amazed that she could actually see her enemy in person. Sammy was ready for this. She was finally going to meet Nightmare. She arose from her throne and started to walk over to her captives. “Ahh, just the people I wanted to see… No, rather, I needed to see. Amazing… But really, though, do none of you have a least a bit of intelligence, if not common sense? Really, I set the trap, you figured it out, and yet you still fell into it!” Nightmare let out an obnoxious cackle. “And here I was thinking it be a challenge to capture the True Ones!” She shook her head disapprovingly. “Next time fate should choose a wiser bunch. Especially you, my dear.” She approached Sammy, grabbed her by the chin, and pulled her innocent face forward and closer. “Miss Sammy Cysso, I’ll presume… The leader of the True Ones… Hm, no, not surprising. You and Evangeline share the same fiery personality. However, that’s not surprising either, considering –” “She’s my Alternate,” Sammy cut in, showing no fear to Nightmare. However, her insides were twining together and making her stomach churn. Nightmare narrowed her eyes, leaking her furious emotion. “How dare you interrupt me?!” she screeched. Her hand left Sammy’s chin but turned right back around to slap her across the face. “Sammy!” Luke cried. He watched as his lover fell to the floor. His eyes grew angry and he looked at Nightmare. “Leave her the hell alone and keep your dirty hands off her!” Nightmare’s attention was taken off Sammy and she looked directly at Luke. Her snarl quickly flipped into a smirk. “Well, now, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes…” She strode over to him and looked him right in the eye. “Tell me, The Shadow, what would make you want to disobey your Mistress?” “I won’t kidnap my own wife,” Luke said, “and I won’t let you hurt her, either.” “Why should you care for a thing like her?” Nightmare screeched, mocking Sammy with laughter. “After everything I gave you, The Shadow… Everything! Food, shelter… And a sex life that she could never compare to!” Luke’s face went red. Rider and Ery gasped. Sammy’s eyes boggled at Nightmare. “You’re a liar!” she screamed. She turned to Luke. “No, Luke… She’s a liar, right? Say it! She’s a liar!” Luke hung his head in shame. “It’s…true…” Rider and Ery gasped once again. Tears welled up in Sammy’s eyes. “How…could you?” she squeaked, taken aghast at the horrible secret that Nightmare revealed. Luke shook his head bitterly. “Because she forced me!” he yelled. “Because she wouldn’t have only captured you, Sammy, but she would have killed you too!” Gasp. “Don’t worry,” Luke said. He took her hand and kissed it. “Don’t worry at all. Like I said, I understand. And, well, as long as part of you still loves me…” He sighed. “Well, sometimes love takes sacrifices.” He held her close, rubbing her baby bump. “But from the sacrifices arise the rewards…” He kissed her on the cheek. “And the joys.” Rider was bawling. “Such beautiful words,” she sobbed. “Why can’t Shino be like him?” “Rider,” Ery said, “Shino barely even knows he’s married to you.” Sammy’s lip quivered. “Oh, Luke!” she cried. Her body collapsed onto him and she buried her sobs into his chest. “I’m so sorry,” she said through her tears. “I’m such a fool… Why didn’t I trust you? Oh, I don’t deserve you, Luke…” “It’s okay,” Luke cooed, giving shush to Sammy’s sobs. “Don’t say things like that. I still love you, no matter what. You don’t need to worry… Not at all…” His words were like a lullaby, rocking both her and the baby in her womb to a peaceful slumber. And Sammy would have fallen asleep, too, if Ery hadn’t gone up and whispered something in her ear. Sammy started giggling, and she said out loud, “Mom, why are you wearing hooker heels?” “ERY I’M GOING TO FREAKIN’ KILL YOU.” Yes, most of the time Rider and Ery are there just for comic relief. XD Nutjobs.
