I don't really see a conflict between the high technology and magic-only, since that's sort of the setting of the Mercenaries... we've got everything from Hades and Cyborg to Arista the shapeshifter. After all, technological weapons and magic can be equally powerful, just in different ways (nukes, or really big fireballs? your choice!) PS. Dear Shino, are you going to stay out of this or are you going to actually come back and participate? Creating the thread but leaving the forum is wishy-washy. Make up your mind plz, kthxbai. PPS. Anyone thought of making a subboard if we do this again? Last GW was a rather epic event, so it might warrant one so we could take advantage of multiple threads (sign-up, keeping track of characters, OOC thread, and so on, all without cluttering the main Guild boards). Then again, not sure why I'm supporting this, as I don't always like it when sub-boards take activity away from the main board. Like Splatterboard/Tabloid Town/Adoptables (the main Splatterboard is practically dead these days and it makes me sad) and Pen's Point (this one not so much, I just think more people need to write original fiction and post it here ).

As per the former post of mine (which I'm happy to have seen cause much needed discussion amongst you people) I must say that pretty much every word in there was a suggestion. No adamant statements, as I cannot decide for the whole conscience of the NTWF. The sentences that seemed like statements were put out there so that if one of you who has power and control (or the general populace agreed on this decision then it was final. That's fine if it didn't work out that way. I realize that I am not on the NTWF so often as most of you are and I said I was takign a leave of absence for a very long time. However, I must state that I will not miss the Guild Wars II no matter what. I want to be a part of just as much as those who didn't get to join last time adn those who have already participated & are eager for the next one. After the second GW I have not the slightest whats going to happen (although I hope by then the original GW movie will be done and perfect (PFA ROCKS MY s0x & b0x0rz!!!!) and that whoever made the merchandise last time wil market again) to my participation in the NTWF again. Let's hope and pray for the best, homes! With that said...I must say I miss you all. Especially Rider, Kit, Wolf, Zari, Stal (bro-in-law!!!!), Strife, Cyborg, Xiv, Spot, Ikkin, & everybody else who is important and impactful to this website!!!! Adieu for a few to you and you and you. ~Shino~

and that whoever made the merchandise last time wil market again) ~Shino~ Well, I sure hope so too (that is I hope I have time, so much to draw! : ) But at least I can start it with the guild wars this time. And I'll prioritize the people I didn't make plushies of last time even though I'm sure there will be some new outfits I'll be dieing to draw and whatnot.

I'll have Zari, ZariKrahia, Zaha, Salricio, Latiere(Adults), Ienalle (Nearly-adult, still claseed as a juvenile), Aeloan, and Dretne (On the hairline between Cub and juvenile). I've already cut out three clones by making them NPCs (The Adults Aikran and Senali, and the Nearly-an-adult-but-not-quite Ytrisan) To fleet members: I will have sped the timeframe on the clones, So Ienalle and Ytrisan are now nearly adults, and Aewoan and Dretne are the clone equivalent of early teens. You may want to think about the ages of Iskale, Maia and Siber in terms of fercocity. *blank stare* That's exactly what I meant >< I for one have Bloody Mary, Bob Squeaky, Justice, Santa, Boom, Joe and Nova. The leader, the warlord, the brainpower, the berserk, the scientist, the chef and the necromancer. J00 guys able to remember them all? Because I've always used all of them, and I've always needed all of them, and they go together with my persona. And then there's the kraken. In other words, we're gonna have some twenty-thirty characters easy. And I know that none of us wants to let go of their different personas. And I know that nobody wants to set limitations on the use of different personas. But fact is that it's always easier to remember your own personas than everyone else's. What I'd like is a way to make them easier to remember, lest people end up getting forced out of the RP because it gets wa-ay too confusing. Maybe start the persona thread at least a week early in order to give everyone time to get acquainted? >>

I guess if you're making full use of your Meepit army, I've no choice but to make full use of mine. At least the major players, y'know, Nalia and Sephi and everyone. Meepitzilla might be overkill, though. So far, the vote is a near-tie between "Wait 'til 08" (which is a couple days from now) and "within a month or two" (Which is also very soon) and "After the movie is done." (I dunno how you're coming along with that.) No one has actually voted for summer '08, we just have a couple of requests on the thread which only count as a couple of votes, not enough to match the 30. Sorry.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]"After the movie is done." (I dunno how you're coming along with that.)[/glow] ...Ha yes. Um. >_> It's kinda... not very done at all. <_< Ahem. *coughpeoplestillneedtosendvoiceclipscough* I don't know how up-to-date that poll is, though. It started... mid-November. And with all the discussion on this thread and whatnot, some opinions have probably changed...

...for the sake of rememberablity, why don't everyone make only one persona, or two, tops? I'm sorry, but I can't remember Meepit names, and I always get Zari's characters mixed up in my head one way or another. xD
Also, there's the problem of some of the guilds not being very active. I know that there are members in the ninja guild active, but we don't have a leader. So on, so forth.

I'm sorry, but I can't remember Meepit names, and I always get Zari's characters mixed up in my head one way or another. xD That's moreorless what I was thinking earlier too, though I can already smell a general uproar a mile away here. From my point of view, it doesn't matter whether I send Joe or Justice to spy on this or that person, they're all just meepits in the end either way, so there's no real need for me to make much use of their personalities. (Admittedly, Boom is the one who whips up all the acid and other chemical compounds for my crossbow, but that's hardly plot-important. You all knew it had to come from somewhere, right?) But when it comes to full-blown personas with their own separate appearances/weapons/personalities/interests, then, well, it does get real confusing. I always associate posts with the posters' standard personas - as most people here, I'm assuming. On the other hand, it doesn't quite seem fair to deprive people of roleplay profiles, since it's always been perfectly acceptable to create a different profile for a roleplay. Then a-gain, I don't see why one'd want to play with more than two charas at the same time. Gets distracting. (I know I have my meepit henchmen, but they usually stick around me and mainly serve as kind of sentient lethal weapons. I only send out a separate meepit-troop when I have to, and I don't like doing that exactly for that distraction-reason. Can't focus on two things at the same time.)

Officially, 5 of the 8 clones have now been NPC-ified. I have plans to put Zaha out of the radar temporarily. Though quite often, one, say, spacefleet post will go like so.
<Here goes what Zari does> <What the clones are doing is breifly mentioned but not dwelled on>
<Insert clones here> This is our dialouge. We say things here and what we're doing is drawn from that> <Zari> I might respond to such dialouge, too>

I think two or three personas is a good cap... as in fully-fledged characters, like Elycien and Alerid with me, or Vyt and Subila. If you kept it to that, "companions" and familiars would probably be fine... stuff like your Meepits, my Gathows, Fenny's cat Shiloh. They wouldn't do much on their own, so wouldn't make quite as much plot difference and would serve more as extensions of a single character. Still, I must admit that if we could track it somehow (using a separate thread or something), unlimited characters/NPCs would be really fun, and make for a more epic plotline. >_>

No, no, never! Lots of people who're joining up now weren't in GW1
Also, starting tomorrow I'll be on holiday for 10 days. Don't kill anyone, take over the world, or blow any noisemakers without me k?

I blew noisemakers last night when the ball dropped in Times Square. <.< *cough* I doubt that GW2 will begin in the next 10 days. At most, signups and planning might take place, but I have no clue. ^^;

Speaking of sign-ups, we should be making one in advance so sudden profile changes during GW2 will be lessened. Either we use the format from the last one or create a new one.
