Thing is, when looking at the ever-so-dead ninja guild, I don't foresee any of them even participating x'D Which'd pose a bit of a problem for the pirate-ninja opposition. There are always NPCs, of course... hm, dead ninja guild :3 *edges off to scribble graffiti on the dojo walls* *kunais* Stay away from our walls. >_> Me and Vyt are going to participate, I know that for a fact. I'm pretty sure Zari will, too. Ringo might. At any rate, there's going to be at least a few ninjas for sure. And of course we'll have NPCs. I want SRGNG~ *backs off, muttering something incoherent* But that means quite a few mercs less in the game, right? You and Vyt have been two of the more active mercs, after all. ...wait, what was the stand on double-agency again? I was sortof under the impression that you can side with one guild only. Else the whole every-guild-for-itself thing wouldn't quite work out.

Else the whole every-guild-for-itself thing wouldn't quite work out. Except that I think that PFA and Vyt are both using different characters in the Mercs than in the Ninja. So it works out. And I might end up using Hades as a Merc, for all that he's likely to side with the 'Fleet unless explicitly ordered otherwise. And possibly even if he was.

Yeah, my mercenary character is different from my ninja one. Vyt's is... um, I dunno. I think they're the same, actually.

Knights and Ninja don't have pistols, from what I know [...]. But they do have bows and throwing stars. ~_^ Nevermind. Rider already said that. -_- I imagine the balance of attack power in an RPG sense. Exactly! Take a look at such franchises as Final Fantasy, Baten Kaitos, and Tales—all of them have firearms and futuristic weapons alongside magic and swords and ninjas, even pirates. (Look at the Ninja, Mage, and Knight classes in FFI, as well as pirates and ninjas in other installments; the Empire and the main heroes in BK:EWLO; and the Renegades, Sheena, and Lloyd in Symphonia, respectively: They work out well to a perfect degree, you know?) Number Two: I would like to start the next Guild Wars with my post. Let's say for sentimental reasons...I didn't think this was going to be as big with the NTWF as it was so I would like to do this. If anyone has any complaints, comments, or counters let me know, once again. SHINO!!! ^_^ I'm fine with this idea, but for the sake of links and other stuff to keep it all together (like to the sign-up thread, the summary thread, etc.), it might be worth a more-active user (no offense -_-), or a Mod or Admin like car suggested, making the first post for technical reasons, even if you started the RP itself. ...wait, what was the stand on double-agency again? I was sortof under the impression that you can side with one guild only. Else the whole every-guild-for-itself thing wouldn't quite work out. Personally, I think double-agency is alright. But when you start having a single character in three separate guilds (sorry, Kat... -_-), things begin to blur. Who do you act for? Whose interests do you consider first? So, I think a cap at two allegiances would be okay. And for people who have different characters for each guild (Vyt, for example, also has a Knight character who I believe is just for the Knights Guild), allegiances wouldn't even be a problem.

I have two different parts of the same character as my Knight and Spacefleet personas, and I plan on using this to the disadvantage of both of them, but not particularly will this extend to their respective guilds. ^_^
SHINO.

I'm not actually using Vyt as my main character for this Guild War, since I'm planning on continuing with his deceased status from the last one. This is also to eliminate the confusion in his allegiance between the Mercs and the Ninjas.

[glow=red,2,300]SHINO! *glomp* <3
anyway, secretly snatching people would make for dull roleplay for the snatchees. Unless he snatched NPCs. Everyone versus Spacefleet wouldn't be fair unless we unbalanced the technology. And in terms of active participants, we'd need more on the Spacefleet.
I expect double-agency in some form or another. It makes things interesting. [/glow]

I wanna start in the summer. Why? Because I want to jump into this roleplay and I have to have enough time to do it. My school will be crazy for the next two quarters. Though I also want it to start now...XD At least wait until after New Years' Day.
I also take it that I can use both Ro from the Knight's guild and Aly from the Mages' guild...right?

I also take it that I can use both Ro from the Knight's guild and Aly from the Mages' guild...right? If you can keep up with them, it seems wholly plausible to me. In the last GWRP, I had Wolf, Taa'kan (his wolf), Flow (Wolf's shadow), and Libby (an inkblot) all under my control at once. Of course, Flow and Libby didn't last too long, -_- and Taa'kan was used only when needed.

I'll have Zari, ZariKrahia, Zaha, Salricio, Latiere(Adults), Ienalle (Nearly-adult, still claseed as a juvenile), Aeloan, and Dretne (On the hairline between Cub and juvenile). I've already cut out three clones by making them NPCs (The Adults Aikran and Senali, and the Nearly-an-adult-but-not-quite Ytrisan) To fleet members: I will have sped the timeframe on the clones, So Ienalle and Ytrisan are now nearly adults, and Aewoan and Dretne are the clone equivalent of early teens. You may want to think about the ages of Iskale, Maia and Siber in terms of fercocity.

While I didn't participate in the first Guild Wars, I'd love to participate in the second one.
However, I think we should hold off on this until Summer '08, since more people will be able participate with the lack of school. Plus, between now and the summer, who knows how many more people we can recruit to our specific guilds? =)

Personally, I'd really rather not do this in the summer, because I'll have two whole months of no internet. Still, I know it's not going to be possible to match everyone's schedule, but just saying.

In the summer, people go on vacation. When people go on vacation, they have no internet.
In the spring, people have school. When people have school, they need some way to procrastinate. ^_^
Also, about the technology level: I really don't mind opposing Spacefleet with only a sword and some weasels. Could there be some sort of thing to counteract technology/magic, like a protective amulet in the latter case, that people have the option of having? Those things wouldn't have to be 100% reliable either, so instead of Spacefleet having really buggy technology we have a 50/50 chance of the spacefleet/magic working without really improbable and obvious blocks. The protective amulet/thingies can be optional too, so people can choose to go against the odds.

This just appeared in my mind, so I'd like to post it here...
Where should new roleplayers sign their characters in? I was hoping we'd make a new Sign-up thread for the incoming Guild Wars.
Also, we should put up every topic discussed in the first post so we can plan on what more to touch. No, not that touch. >.>
