AHHHH THE LEGENDARY NUT. Congratulations! WELCOME TO THE CLUB. Because I'm out of touch with recent Neopian events, I'm going to rely on NQ2 for now if I want to get back into the NT. That saga is WAAAAAYYYYY too extended though. XD I haven't watched the movies yet either because I'm a lazy bum. Aaaaand I'm trying to squeeze out a 650 story. I thumbed back through some of the posts on this thread and BOY THOSE WERE THE DAYS. ...anyway, back on topic, I can still remember stuff about NQ2 so Kat's NQ2 Help Hotline is always open for business! Please keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times, and there are earplugs handy for when Kat starts fangirling. THANK YOU IT'S AN HONOR |D *attempts to bow and ends up bobbing upside down* Haha I don't think I ever really wrote about Neopian current events; my stories basically used OCs, just in a Neopets setting. I've not been super up to date with the recent site activities either lately. The AG was kind of my reason for sticking around but now that I hit my 100 trophy goal, I'm kind of feeling like there isn't much to do there anymore. I'm sure I'll keep sending last-minute scribbles to the AG when I need an ego boost though. I did the exact same thing just now, haha, spent the last 15 minutes searching my name and reading our old conversations. THOSE WERE INDEED THE DAYS. I ended up laughing at several of those running NQ2 scenarios, haha. Seems like it was easier for me to make up silly fandom stuff back then... After you left I started taking fandoms too seriously. IIRC all those convos went down before I became known for being into Zelda games? Can't believe it's been that long. In the time that's passed I've had transformative experiences and falling-outs with fandoms ahaha. The earplugs also help ward off cheesy musicals; they're highly recommended. Might make it a little difficult to understand the advice, though. Don't blame us if Zombom swallows you whole because you wasted all your Blast Potions building castles. I feel like I have to quote this and say YESSSSSS THIS IS MY ETERNAL PROBLEM. HAHAHAHA it's now officially my opinion that the lighting is just really awful in the spaceship and makes him look bleached. I always think of him as yellow. GO FOR 200 TROPHIES THEN, NUT. *brick'd* I'm not so interested in the events either; the NT is the main reason why I returned to Neopets. My characters just won't shut up in my head. I've popped in and out of fandoms myself. Depending on what the topic is, I can either take things way too seriously, or eyeball anyone who does. AND OF COURSE, THERE ARE THE SHIPS. Right now I'm running after several series I've left unfinished because of school and other things. Fasten your seatbelts, it's gonna be a bumpy ride! Oh, and try not to get bitten by vampire Bearogs. HAHAHAHA it's now officially my opinion that the lighting is just really awful in the spaceship and makes him look bleached. I always think of him as yellow. For what it's worth, on the main page Mr. Insane says but I think of him as yellow too!I reject Mr. Insane's reality and substitute my own. The time he spends yellow is more than the time he spends white HAHAHAHA what...Kat you're not making sense.

Why does Rohane's artwork have him Yellow but the beginning and cutscenes I've seen on IDNQ have him be White? .___. It would make more sense if he was Yellow though, since it fits with the basic color theme of everyone else. I feel like I have to quote this and say YESSSSSS THIS IS MY ETERNAL PROBLEM. wow i posted that a long time agoThis is a blast from the past. xD I still don't particularly understand why that's the case. I'll just pretend he's Milk coloured and call it a day. Also did someone say Madoka yes goodALSO DID SOMEONE SAY SAYAKA IS FAVORITE YES EVEN MORE GOOD

I'm not sure whether I'd be proud or embarrassed if I stuck around long enough for 200. xD I never really did much with my Neopets characters even though I'm quite attached to them and their personalities. Maybe now that the AG goal is gone, I can do more with that but I dunno what. Probably just scribbles. Ahahaha ships....... the love and bane of my fandom existence......... every single shipping discussion I've ever been in has had me repeatedly asking myself "why do I care about this" aaand then ship art happens. I don't have the patience to follow series as they're being published, I tend to get into them all at once several years after they've stopped being popular haha. A decade...I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN A DECADE SINCE I JOINED NEOPETS, THAT REMINDS ME... I just ship what I want, haha. OKAY I SHIP THIS, YOU SHIP THAT, WE GOOD. I have a lot of ships that remain alive for YEARS. ...UGH I tried to write a story with the cutscenes. I think my mind is rejecting them altogether. It was haaard. I'M STILL ON LEVEL 1 ON NQ1 INSANE...I'm too old and creaky to race now. I'm generally more inspired to do things for NQ2 monsters and bosses...whenever I didn't have anything to write a poem on, I'd just think of those peeps.

Amusingly enough I actually have a scribble relating to your last sentence in that paragraph. Hahahaha... my relationship with shipping is... *painful laughter* I used to get into ship war threads to defend my otp lol... now I'm in this state of "I don't really care much anymore" but I'm in a fandom for a game where literally a core game mechanic is shipping the characters and getting their children that you can use in battle (it's eugenics plain and simple) so I still just kind of draw ship art in a desultory way from time to time... (By "desultory" I mean "multipanel shoujo comics") Currently my biggest issue is trying not to feel frustrated when people interpret my drawings of characters that I don't ship as pairing art, although I don't have anyone to blame but myself because I make everything look like pairing art ahaha. I mostly subscribe to the "ship and let ship" viewpoint as well, but it does bug me when people think I ship things I don't, or make me feel pressured to... Yeah I'm not racing either. NQ's gameplay is not engaging enough to be worth my time these days, too much other stuff to do and if I'm going to play a game I might as well play an actual videogame.

I don't feel pressured to ship anything even though so many other people around me ship a certain pairing. Maybe...THE SHIPPING FORCE IS STRONG WITHIN ME? On the NQ scene, I have learned that level 1 on NQ1 is crazy boring. Urghhhhh. Nothing but imps to fight and then you keep going back to Boraxis for free heals. I live dangerously. I try to fight those four Hands of Nox anyway.

I try to fight those four Hands of Nox anyway. Bahaha I'm glad it's accurate, it should be... I'm just still amazed they put it in the Art Gallery. Also I did not realize how much I underestimated my own life expectancy in that doodle until you used the term "quarter-life crisis", thanks. AHAHA oh gosh Fire Emblem Awakening right? ...I was a fan of the series BEFORE it became a huge eugenics dating sim and I'm so conflicted that this is now what the series is mainstream famous for, but I can't deny that the newest game is addictive as heck. I like it less than previous games because it feels more shallow and geared towards lighthearted fluff and fanservice (SO MUCH fanservice ahaha it's basically like they took all the fandom jokes and shippings and self-insertion and LET YOU MAKE IT ALL CANON)... but I can't deny it's the easiest to play and get into. I'm happy it brought the series into mainstream popularity, but also sort of chagrined that it's now forever going to be thought of as a dating sim first and a strategy RPG second. When I ship something, you can usually tell because I'll say so somewhere... but if I don't, I usually don't mention it and let people draw their own interpretations because I don't want shippers to get mad at me... It gets kind of complicated when your favorite character is one that the fandom almost universally only cares about in the context of a certain pairing and it's extremely hard to find fanwork of that character not involving the pairing. I complained once about how I didn't actually find it that good a match and got into a tumblr argument that lasted several days and I ended up apologizing and being like "okay, I understand the ship now" but then afterwards I still didn't ship it even though I was trying to. Now I just try really hard not to talk about it, because no one likes a ship basher, but on the other hand it's... frustrating to me that it seems like most fans just take for granted that they're a thing. Hahaha I think I remember that part of NQ1... I'm amazed I had the patience to get as far as I did; I remember the game overall being more tedious than NQ2. Annndd yessss fight all the Nox minions. I forget whether I fought Nox on Insane or not; I know I was trying to play it really safe so I may have skipped his tower. On the other hand I overleveled for everything so I may have done it to get the EXP. He gave me a lot of trouble on Normal, but when you're overleveled he's really not that bad.

He gave me a lot of trouble on Normal, but when you're overleveled he's really not that bad. ...dang, I thought of a different game, but I have heard much about FE: A because I have a lot of friends playing it and even roleplaying from it. There are so many characters and possibly so many permutations of ships, wow. Shippers can be rather overzealous that way, though...in the same way, it's hard to go searching for Phoenix Wright or Miles Edgeworth fanart without bumping into anything shipping them (I don't ship them, personally - yes, I have quite the unpopular opinion). And this is why I generally just shut up and reblog stuff on tumblr...I don't think you come off as a basher, you just had your own opinion and other people just couldn't accept it. YES MAN NQ1 is so much more tedious, I am relearning that the hard way. At least with NQ2 it's only horribly tedious and difficult until you get Mipsy and then you have two happy campers slashing and zapping their way to victory, assuming you make sure you have enough healing potions (I swear, the amount of stuff you could have in your inventory...it's super hammerspace). I think I definitely skipped Nox on InSaNe - I probably tried a level or two of his tower to level grind and then left it quickly. I can be very impatient so I decided not to let that impatience be the death of me. ...ALSO OMG GUYS. My Terask short story has been held over. I now have two NQ2 short stories held over (the other being my 650 submission, which isn't even within the game proper and takes place afterward). Eeeeeee <3

I just finished NQII on InSaNe after what has possibly been years. Now, how long it actually took me is the question... I recall that there was a way to see exactly how long it took a person to finish NQII, but I can't remember exactly how to go about it. Does anyone here remember?
