*sighs* IF only I could find a way to find some free-range egg farms. . . "Free Range" eggs are availible at all of my local grocery stores - whether they are genuine is a different question. But I knew someone who owned two hens. They had the entire enclosed backyard to roam, and they had their own shelter for sleeping and laying. The family fed them with mail-ordered chicken feed (you need a special kind for egg-laying hens) and they would get about 1-2 eggs a day from the two hens. Even here in the city, I could probably do that, if the fences of my backyard were fixed, and maybe some of the blackberry bushes would have to be cleared (for space - considering that chickens were originally jungle animals, I'm not terribly concerned about thorns, but I'm not an expert) There's books out there about having your own pet hen(s) - look at your local library.

Cool. During the summer, I researched more about animals for me and Ami-chan's site. www.geocities.com/berry_petsIt's html-free (that's a bad thing, isn't it?) and it's not too good.

LoL. I don't think my Mom would be too happy about getting a pet chicken, morally appeasing or not. But a couple of years ago we visited some friends of the family who live in Montana and have half a dozen hens, four dogs, two cats, and two horses. I believe I left my heart in Montana, and my parents refuse to go back so I can claim it.

tsk tsk tsk...making blank posts to up your post count shouldn't be allowed... Hey, I didn't do it boost my post count (in fact, I don't give a rat's neck if my post count is 3) just sometimes when i hit enter twice really quickly, especially when I'm adding quotes, it posts ahead of me. Anyway, I delete my extra posts. EDIT : And if I'm so darned concerned about my post count, how come I edit my own posts so much? Why don't I add addional posts when I want to add another comment/point?

Oh...I get it. Sort of like that time Ember posted, and said that in her last post she kept calling somebody else 'Ajennsis' and then when I looked for it I didn't see it. That gets pretty annoying at times. Oh well, I'll manage, I think.
