Well, that just made her angry, not scared.
"I promise you, Hunter, then, that that Eyrie is going down!" Something had changed in her eyes. They were usually pretty little orbs of sky blue, but they had narrowed. There was no denying that the Princess of Altador was full of fury.
Xandra approached the door to the thieves' guild.
"Sirocco," she said, "maybe you should hide. I'll enter here. As far as I know, Masila doesn't want me dead."
Caylin noticed that the scroll was - humming?
She was about to investigate when she noticed that the young Neopets hadn't heeded her words.
Sighing, she turned to them.
"Okay, fine...I suppose there's no way I can stop you. But you guys won't fight. I will fight. You two will get everyone out of the Citadel."

"I'm not going to hide from these thugs. Besides, I can't let them get anywhere near you, right?" Sirocco winked at Xandra, and then knocked on the door three times.
"What's the password?" A pair of eyes glared out of a sliding peephole in the door.
"Tail of the Crokabek." Sirocco smirked.
"C'mon in." The board slid shut, and the door opened.

Instinctively Xandra stepped in front of Sirocco.
She was in trouble now...she didn't know what in the world to say. She didn't know what these people thought of her.
"Uh..." she began.
Why not tell the truth? She didn't suppose the thieves would try to kill her or take her captive until Masila came like she suspected they would Sirocco one way or the other.
"A knight wants your help to fight against Lord Kass," she said, looking sideways at the floor to hide her nervousness.

"Lord Kass is back, eh?" A figure stepped out of the shadows. It was a Shadow Gelert, with an eye patch over one eye. He laughed menacingly at Xandra. "You know, they say war's good for business. Oh, and by the way - name's Black Shuck. I'm the new Guildmaster here ever since me and the boys chased those idiot Meerca brothers out." Shuck drew his weapon: an urumi, or whip sword. "There's also a huge bounty on the head of your pretty little friend, Sirocco. Seems like the good news keeps on comin'!"
Sirocco drew his twin daggers, jumped in front of Xandra and scowled at the older thief. "Get away from her! I'm not letting you hurt her!"

Xandra gave a little gasp of surprise. What did they want her for? The only two things she could think of were a. they didn't like the fact that Faerieland fell (which was unlikely since why should Masila care about that?), or b. Masila was secretly working for Katriana (which also seemed unlikely, which was a relief - and why would Masila betray Galem? Even if he was dead, Xandra had heard Masila loved him or something...).
"Sirocco," she said, "I can handle this." She stepped to the side so she was visible.
Her hands sparking, she snarled, "What in Miarra's name do you want me for?!"
As she flew alongside the children to the Citadel, Caylin decided to take a look at the scroll again. Why had it hummed? She took it out of her quiver and opened it.

Upon opening the scroll, Caylin noticed that the writing on it had changed. The large red-lettered 'Help' was no longer visible and in its place was a sentence reading:
Hello, are you there? Are you reading this? Write on the line below to let me know that you are there.
Below the sentence there was a line and below that line there was another sentence:
Hurry, we are all in great danger, you must respond.

Eevee and Zapphire soon find themselves at Meridell Castle, where they hoped they would find Vitus. When they arrived, however, they found the whole structure to be very crowded with evacuees; finding Vitus would be next to impossible in such a place. They could only try and together they began to search.

Akasha landed upon the floating citadel to find chaos. The guard were out, attempting to push back what seemed to be a...riot? Among the cacophony, she could make out what sounded like "Hail Kass!"
Her blood boiled. "Traitors," She hissed and sprinted off behind a building so she wouldn't be seen. Too late, though...something whizzed over the top of her head, "Eek!" She rolled and looked from where whatever it was came from.
"Well, look what we have here! A supporter of Lord Kass, I hope?"
Akasha saw a zafara approach her, grinning wickedly with his bow pointed at her.
((Didn't want to make anyone wait. Hopefully this is okay for a quick post..)

"I can't believe they just ignored us!" Nemo growled as the two pets raced for the castle doors. "They ignored a Brightvalian knight!"
"They were distracted."
"Why do you have to be so diplomatic?"
Howler ignored his friend's question. "Let's just get to the Citadel. We can be of use there; whether King Skarl and Lord Darigan want my help or not, I am a knight of Brightvale."
"And I'm just an old warrior," Nemo muttered, but with a shake of his head, he asked, "How're we getting there?"
"An airship." The two pets had reached the outside of the castle by now, and faced a field of ships inflating with gas. "Hurry, before they're all taken."
"You are insane!" Nemo shouted, but Howler lowered his head and charged for one of the ships.
"I'm a knight!" Howler called out, and the pets on the craft made room for him, and Nemo as the spotted Kougra scrambled into the basket. The aircraft rose, and made for the Citadel.
Within minutes, Howler and Nemo had ascended into a realm of horror; flashes of magic and fire-tipped arrows brought vivid color to the sky, as mages and archers on both sides tried to shoot down or protect the airships. Miraculously, though incredible skill on the shadow Shoyru pilot's part, the airship swerved to a dock, and the knights - and Nemo - hurried off of the ship. Only about half of the pets made it off before the pilot had to swerve away again.
The Meridell knights hurried off to find opponenets. Howler and Nemo raced for the archers still trying to pick off the airships. Nemo drew the Qasalan staff from his back, and slashed and swiped at the arches, blocking their arrows with the blades when he was able.
Howler simply let his hood fall back, and raced into battle with jaws snapping and paws swinging. The muscular Lupee could strike down a small pet with a single blow, and his thick fur and chestplate protected him from the retaliation of others.
It was Nemo who saw the Zafara bearing down on a white Korbat. Assuming from the Korbat's look of surprise that she wasn't having a friendly chat with the archer, Nemo went for the Zafara, a flash of yellow and black with a double-bladed staff in his teeth.
