((XP Krimz, you and I posted at the same exact time! *high five for coordination skills!* Since my post reffed stuff that went on in your post, we've got a bit of a discrepancy. I can change my post tomorrow, if you'd like, it just won't be until the afternoon.))

((Okay, Nat. What should Saeryennan do? I'll miss you!))
"You're very welcome," Xandra replied. "And yes, I am. B-but it's not what you think!"
How was she going to explain all that to an outsider? Truth be told, Xandra really didn't want to tell the whole sob story again. She'd barely made it through when she'd told Saeryennan. And that had been easier, since Saeryennan already knew some stuff and instantly believed her.

((Don't worry about it, Tiger.))
Akasha blinked, "Um..." This was the THE Xandra, the one who brought down Faerieland, standing outside of a Meridellian cottage...
"Okay, I am very confused. I thought you got turned into stone."

Post by Kozma on Aug 8, 2011 7:36:05 GMT -5
A rather disheartened Zapphire sat on a bench alongside one of Meridell's dusty marketplace roads. She, Eevee, and Vitus had already visited five inns and none of them had any rooms available. The starry zafara figured that they would most likely be setting up camp with the unusually high number of pets currently touring Meridell, and though she usually loved camping, she wasn't ready to do it so soon after that horrendous night in Altador.
Zapphire hoped that her friends would be back soon. After visiting the fifth inn, she had stated that she needed to rest a bit. Eevee decided to go on by himself and try and find an open inn for them to stay in while Vitus decided to look into why there were so many visitors currently in Meridell. They hadn't been gone for long, but Zapphire still wanted them to return. She loved her friends and she didn't like being left alone for extended periods of time. She didn't know why she left them both run off in the way that they did but she knew that she made a mistake in letting them do so.
Zapphire looked into the massive crowd; there was no sign of the wocky or the bori. She didn't like being alone; she wanted her friends back.

((Kozma, what color is Zapphire?))
Xandra shuddered when she heard the Korbat's words.
After a long while - or perhaps no time at all - of recollecting her thoughts, Xandra finally spoke.
"Uhhm...well, I...I had - that is to say, there was...uhh...oh, how best to say this? Uhm...okay, I was p-possessed by a Faerie as a little girl." She let out a sigh laced with relief and sadness.
But she had to say one more thing.
"And...and I'm the Queen of Altador's younger s-sister..."

((Kozma, what color is Zapphire?)) ((Zapphire is a starry zafara; as I said in the third sentence of my last post. As for my other two characters, Eevee is yellow and Vitus is Christmas))

Since Nat's on vacation I thought maybe she could run into Saeryennan, who's heading for the castle?)) Caylin continued to speak to Hunter. "Xandra's gone to the castle to find the princess," she explained. "Do you think we should follow her, considering that you are probably the Lupe she saw?"

"I'll go with you!" Sirocco rushed out the door after Xandra, and stood tall, puffing out his chest. "A man has to stand strong and able for his woman!"
Miraja rolled her eyes. "Puh-lease. Hunter, we should go. Caylin, was it?" Miraja wasn't too good with the names of Faeries; being around pets who didn't trust the Faeries like Fang and Zarkos had had its effects on her. "You can come with us, if you like. Hunter, can you hear us? Hello?"
Hunter shook his head as if he had just snapped out of a trance. "Yes, I did. I just had this chill come over me, like... The same chill I had when I first met Kass..." Hunter remembered that day. The young Lord of the Citadel, only a good five years older than him, had come to sign a treaty he would later break. It was the first time he ever met the wicked Eyrie, who he would later learn was the one who killed his father. "Let's - let's go."

((On second thought, Kozma, can it be Caylin and her party who runs into Zapphire? Dju, that would include your pets unless they did something else))
"Yes, it's Caylin," she said. "Let's go." She walked out of the door and began to head toward the castle.
She stopped and looked back at the two younger Neopets. "You coming too?"
Xandra was still waiting for the Korbat's reply when she noticed Sirocco in the distance, running in her direction. She sighed, once again annoyed. Why did he have to come right now? What would it make her look like? She wanted Neopia to trust her. In fact, what she wanted more than anything else was to force Katriana to confess her crimes to the whole world. Then everyone would know.

"Um, okay." Akasha blinked, unsure of what else she could say. That certainly wasn't what she had heard. "Alright then. Well, I'm Akasha. And I can't thank you enough." She quickly bowed to the xweetok. "May I ask why you're in Meridell?"

Xandra quickly turned back to the Korbat, Akasa. Whew! She seemed to believe her.
She curtsied. "I'm here with Princess Saeryennan. She had a prophetic vision of a White Lupe in this place. She thinks it's her father younger, but it's not. I was actually looking for her when I found you."

((Deleted my old post. Still looking for a way to run into anybody =P))
Howler led the way into town, Nemo following with some wariness. Brightvale was not quite as large as its sister kingdom - or was it brother? - and the people weren't quite so...free-roamng there. The two pets received many odd looks as they walked. Howler ignored them so completely that Nemo wondered if somehow his own spotted pelt and Qasalan weapons were what was drawing so much attention.
"The marketplace," Howler rumbled.
"Followed your nose here, did you?" One side of Nemo's muzzle quirked in a grin. "Getting hungry?"
"No," the Lupe said, turning to look at Nemo over his shoulder. "The scent gets lost in the crowds. And the food."
Nemo looked over the crowd, trying to see if anyone distinctive was hanging about. There were a few obvious foreigners, but none struck Nemo as the menacing, monster-in-disguise type.
A moment later, a Draik caused a small comotion by snatching a Korbat's coins. The thief was caught, thanks to a bolt of magical energy fired by a spotted Xweetok. Both Nemo's eyes went wide while Howler's narrowed.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Nemo whispered.
"There are many spotted Xweetoks in the world."
"But you're thinking what I'm thinking." Howler didn't reply, and Nemo said, "It's the best lead we have right now. We should follow them a little ways. See if they do anything suspcious."
Howler sighed. "You might be right. But it's not a very strong lead."
"What would you rather have us do? Sniff around the marketplace? Come on, Howler."
Howler was silent a long moment, but at last, he said, "She's speaking with a Korbat, and there seems to be a Zafara approaching. Watch that none of them see you." The Lupe pulled his hood a little farther over his distinctive face, and melded into the crowd. Nemo waited a moment for a break in the crowd, then joined in at a good distance from Howler. He pretended to peruse the goods on sale, all the while watching the Xweetok, her companions, and Howler in quick glances.

"Her younger father, huh?" Akasha raised her eyebrows. "I hope you find her, then~" This was terribly awkward, standing in the middle of Meridell with one of the most infamous sorceresses, who was actually drawing the attention of many people in the marketplace. She smiled and took a step back, "I guess I should..." Akasha paused as she caught someone approaching out of the corner of her eye.
