Well that's good, so we don't have to worry about the hassle of moving to a different engine ^^ I woke up with an annoying tune in my head, I think it's stolen from Somewhere Over the Rainbow, but with the rhythm changed, and most of the rest of it changed too I feel kind of reserved in using a tune that came from a dream as I know I've probably stolen it somewhere in my memory, I just can't tell where. The first half of this track has the tune as it was in my dream, the second half is a variation I wrote after it using the same chords. www.castleparadox.com/songlist-display.php?song=329If it turns out is isn't a blatant plagiarism of a known song (it might be a kid's song, I dunno... I used to watch Play School a lot), then I could probably use it for a nice happy green meadow with flowers kind of track

Chia bomber used to be my 3K a day game, so I could get it easily, but today TNT changed its NP ratio so you only get a couple hundred when you achieve the previously 1K-earning score :K Hope they change it back some time.

Next there's Revellation. I don't interpret most of it literally, like the parts where it mentions that God's people will be turned upon (or something like that, I don't really read the Bible as much as I should). I interpret that as meaning that God's followers won't be listened to, not that they'll be killed. Though some parts of it that I do take literally such as Christ return to Earth. Here's an article you might find interesting. Earlier this year, over a hundred Christians died in the Indian state of Orissa. www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24709000-12335,00.html In addition to the tremendous casualty rate, there were many cases of nuns being raped and people being set on fire. That sounds like persecution to me ^^ Seriously, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see a group of people backing up the Bible like you all are. Makesm e proud to be a member of this club. I feel a group hug coming on. *Glomp* xD *HUG!* ;D

Welcome, Jason ^^ I hope you don't get upset that I might say a couple things a little bit harshly. Well, I'm trying not to be harsh, but it might sound like that anyway. D: I think you might be in a bit of a rut at the moment. It's for your own spiritual good that you go to a church, though if you really find no satisfaction from church life perhaps you need to try and get more involved, instead of less? Does your church offer in-depth bible study courses? I'm a bit of a nerd, that I find bible study interesting. Well anyway, there's this awesome teacher at my church and she's just this fountain of knowledge and I would never have known that if I hadn't been to her classes (friday night, every other week, for several months). She happened to have different take on the issue of Hell as a violation of love. And what she said was something along the lines of why would a loving God force everyone to go to heaven? If they have rejected God, then logically they don't want to spend time with God. Then just chucking them into the Joy of the Lord with all the rest of humanity would be cruel. And of course, a violation of the right of choice too. That's another good thing about church; you can get different opinions on things, more different opinions than if you just asked your family or yourself. If you can have more people you know and trust and like who are strong believers, it really helps. I think the homosexuality issue has the devastating potential to trap any believer who would otherwise like to take the bible literally. It's about attitudes concerning sex. Sex is simply holy.
In the way that blood in the old testament times was holy. People seem to want to assume that the Israelites refrained from drinking animal blood because it was unclean/unhygienic. In actual fact, the reason why they avoided playing around with blood was because (and I quote from leviticus 17:11, the chapter on the uses of blood which happens to be the chapter just before the one forbidding certain sexual relationships) "The life of the animal is in its blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement...". Blood had specific holy uses and any flippant domestic use such as eating it was a crime against God.
For the same reason there are restrictions on sex. Not necessarily because of practical reasons, like the commandments not to steal or not to kill, but for the sake of wanting to do what is holy and pleasing to God. If you can't understand why you'd want to believe something just because God told you, then you misunderstand the fact that God is sovereign and we're not. He invented sex. He feeds you and clothes you and created a universe for you to live in. If he says no, then who are we to pout and mope and say that because we can't see a practical reason not to do something, then his word must be wrong. We've become complacent, we think we know everything, we think we're invincible - but we aren't. God is in power. We obey Him. 'Nuff said.
I dunno. In the overall scheme of things, me arguing about specific issues isn't going to do much. I think the most important thing is to ask yourself, "Do I love God?". Because if you do, then the spiritual world is your oyster. If you love God, you'll find it in you to be able to will yourself to follow his commands, pull your share of the plough. It's just a matter of bringing yourself to choose what will be most beneficial to you, anyway.

Hmm. I found something I've started a while ago, and finished it, but I think it might be a bit too profane in concept and probably not funny enough.

Wow, that was fast xD Well firstly I'll do a bit of a rewrite and a reorder of the content on the page, so the transfer of the page can't be viewed as any kind of plagiarism of Ticktock's work (not that anyone would call it that, but just to be on the safe side). Then I'll dig back through the thread and get a complete list of everyone who's contributed so far, since we should have written that down a long time ago Then what I'm thinking is that we can create a section for NT fanart. I think it would really encourage more people to read the NT since everyone seems to looove art, and they always have time to look at art, but it takes a bit of motivation sometimes to get someone to read a great length of writing. A gallery of fanart would not only be a great thankyou to the writers of the NT, it would also draw in (bad pun not intended) new readers who are curious about the story behind each picture and enhance the meanings explored in the written work of the NT =D

I think, in the absence of anyone else who's willing to maintain the page, I think I'll host it. I don't want this thing to die out. And how's the saying go... "If you want something done do it yourself?" Yeah, I think I'll host it. I'll arrange something about the transfer of NTReaders to a side account. And I've got a few ideas on what direction we can take this thing.

It might be that the midi version doesn't sound the same on your computer, Killix ^^ Midis sound different when played on different computers with different soundcards, so an annoying beep might be just a bad coincidence for you. Btw, great track, PFA I like the way the melodies and counter melodies interact with each other so playfully ^^

xD It seems that what Pacmanite drew from is Cat Assassin, not Vyt (no biggies though, Strife also drew me in Cat Assassin's form, and I was okay with it). Also, my main persona and my ninja persona are the same, with the exception of his appearance which is the traditional ninja suit for the latter, but I don't think that'll matter now that I'm drawn as Cat Assassin. Not ranting at all, mind you. I love how you made that sprite, Pacmanite. Reminds me of Pokemon for some reason. Oh whoops, I mustn't've read properly Sorry about not drawing your main persona, anyway. (The cat assassin looks so distinctive, though. I think some of my earliest memories after joining the NTWF was looking through all the art threads and seeing that orange cat

Why only people in the US, though? If they're giving away neocash cards, can't at least some other countries also use those things on neopets too?

Yeah, I saw that too, and I'm pretty sure that traced photos do count as art theft (I mean, traced artworks count as art theft). But if the photo was taken by the artist, then that would be OK. ... Scratch that, I found the original source image: www.horsepictures.us/quarter-horse-420.jpgI got it by searching google for "horse tongue".
