Thanks for being such sweet and sympathetic players, you all. <33
The narratorpost is up. ^^ As before, please try to get your votes in for maze directions in the next 24 hours. (And a quick reminder to the Red and Green Teams that you still have your one NPC hint available, even if you can't use it this turn!)

Hey everyone! We've gone over the remaining maze turns, and including the upcoming update, each team should reach the center in 2-3 turns. So if you want to finish any of your in-the-maze plans before that happens, now could be a good time to do that, if you're up for it! We're getting theeeeeere X'D
We should be able to have the next narratorpost ready sometime tomorrow evening EST.

Oooh the biomes are merging! Ominous noises and a reminder of... the Outside! So exciting! By the way, here's the solution of the first smiley-code puzzle reposted for the red and blue teams: “ OMG, that labrador tea and that saxifrage are sooo mean! They said we were loud !” cried the first voice.
“ Us, loud?! OMG, how dare!!” cried the second voice.
“ I am perfectly scandalized !” cried the third voice.
Ahead on the pathway at another intersection was a cluster of tall and trim topiary. Specifically, three creatures--llamas? Drama llamas? No, wait, they were a bit smaller. ...Drama alpacas? And they were chattering animatedly while making expressive faces at every single turn of phrase.
“ We're not loud!” cried the topiary on the left.
“ We speak, like, so reasonably !” cried the topiary in the middle.
“ Those two are the ones who are loud!” cried the topiary on the right.
“ Some days we can hear them arguing all the way over here!”
“ That's right, all the way over here!”
“ You know what I think? We should tell them that they're the ones who are loud!”
“ Yeah! They're as loud as -- as --”
“ As loud as what?”
“ Oh, that thing! You know, that thing! It's invisible, but not the air --”
“ Oh, yes, I know the thing you mean! It cracks, but it doesn't break --”
“ And it claps, even though it doesn't have hands!”
“ And it happens after a flash, but it's not a selfie!”
“ Yeah!”
“ Yeah!”
“ They're as loud as that!”
“ What's that thing called?” the topiary on the left asked, whirling around towards the Green Team as they approached.
“ You agree with us, right?” the topiary in the middle asked.
“ Those two plants argue so super loudly, don't they?” the topiary on the right asked. Pixica, I'm not sure what this specific line of the latest post means: “KOOL” and “POVL” hadn’t taken. Hadn't taken what, from what? Were these two words already inscribed in the tablet, or did the plant attempt to inscribe them? Did they appear at all?

Hadn't taken what, from what? Were these two words already inscribed in the tablet, or did the plant attempt to inscribe them? Did they appear at all? The tablet has four boxes with four letters in it. It only accepts words, so the plant attempting to inscribe Not Words triggered only a flash of those sequences, then the tablet returned as before. This is one of those puzzles where you find a sequence of words that gets to a different word, changing only one letter at a time.

...Well, that ended poorly for us! xD (RIP Era. And the corpse flower is so nice too. </3 ...Ah, but they'll be fine, they'll manage! The other flower helps.) But yeah, I'm a mix between "argh" and laughing, which just means you've done a good job roping me in. xDD Specific comments: Did not know that could happen. I guess going straight all the way isn't the way!
It was a very interesting narrator-post and worth the wait! So many interesting things happening! (Take notes, Era! ...And uh, I hope you're using the water-resistant brand of notebook. I feel like that'd be a thing they'd do, given how often they charge outside without personal consideration.) But yeah, so neat to see the biomes merging. =D
And a very appropriate ending to the post. xD Looks like we'll be visiting them again!

Hi everyone! We're going to try to get the next narratorpost up sometime tomorrow.
It should also be noted that this upcoming narratorpost will be the final maze direction voting. Everyone is so close!
So, to outline the sequence of events, there's: the remainder of this turn, the upcoming narratorpost, your last maze voting, then the next narratorpost (which should take everyone up to the door to the maze’s center), and when we’re all ready, we’ll finally be entering the center of the greenhouse maze to do the game’s last puzzle together. We’re nearing the end of the final act!

Hi everyone!
We will advance to the doors with a narratorpost approximately this time tomorrow. There will still be a little time there to rp before the final challenge. No puzzles for now, just rp at your leisure!

We made it! \ o /
As a random curiosity question, is there a map of the maze you guys have been using? I've been curious for a while what it looks like, haha.

We made it! \ o / As a random curiosity question, is there a map of the maze you guys have been using? I've been curious for a while what it looks like, haha. There is a map!! We’ve been really excited to share the maps when we were done. xD We used a labyrinth generator to come up with several options, and then settled on this one. We designed the pathways so that each team would have 4-6 intersections, and 4 potential puzzle encounters. Look how neat and simple this looks! We’ll definitely be able to cover this stage of the game in under a week, right? =D If you’re curious, only two puzzle encounters didn’t get found. All the number 3’s were hybrid plants at the edges of biomes. Red’s number 3 would have been a dragonfruit plant of a magical variety (mentioned in one of Blue’s puzzles). And Green’s number 4 was a prized bonsai pine tree. So by the end, it looked like this (accompanied by helpful “Who The Heck Is On Which Team, Again?” annotations): If Blue had turned right on their last turn, they would have tread over the fresh snow before meeting the drama alpaca topiary, and from there, they could have followed Green’s footprints until they came to Red’s exit, where everybody would have been packed in like sardines, but happy and reunited. (And yes, each team and biome did have their own exit, but we ended up only using two (and nearly only one!)) Fancy progress gif: We should put a water fountain at the center in addition to the promised bathroom, your characters deserve it after walking around and around and around. XD

I'd like to give Blue Team an unofficial achievement for exploring so much.
Anyway, cool, great map! And now I see why straight ahead at all junctures is not the best option. xD Thank you for sharing! It's fun to see now that we got there. =D It may not have gone as simple as planned, but I'm glad there was a good bunch to explore! Made for good roleplaying opportunities. ^^
Brainstorming a post right now and will try to post today! Please let me know if you'd like to post ahead of me; I know I can go fast.
I also need to decide who Era is sharing a parka with, if anyone wants to volunteer! Otherwise I'll try to keep it vague.

Nice! Super cool to see the map in all its glory \ o / I also like how, looking back on the narrator posts, it says that the air started to get a bit more humid at that one dead end—because we were close to Red Team's area, haha. I'd like to give Blue Team an unofficial achievement for exploring so much. Weep for us, for we did all that walking in the desert heat ;_;

Hi everyone! How do people feel about moving onto the final puzzle tomorrow or soon after? We have not yet received 5 votes for go-ahead, but we’re excited to move into the final stage of this game when everyone’s ready!
Thoughts? Concerns? Hot cocoa if you’re in the arctic?
